Rustic Cabin on the River

We are located deep in the woods on a river canal. Our Rustic Cabin is made of beautiful pine. Cozy with everything furnished except clothes and food. Come enjoy the wildlife, fishing and kayaking. We are 30 minutes to the beautiful beaches and Pier Park North in Panama City Beach, Florida with all the entertainment. We are out of hustle bustle of traffic. West end off hwy 79. Enjoy both!!!

There are 4 miles of dirt road in the middle of paved road coming in and going out. We also have 3 natural springs within an hours drive that are wonderful to explore. We have WiFi available on property but due to our area, sometimes not very good.

We do have kayaks and one canoe for our guest to use here on canal to explore. Life vest and paddles. At your own risk.

We do have great accommodations for 2 and smaller children but could get tight for more. Only 3 to a cabin is comfortable. We look forward to meeting you and wishing you memories made here at Sister River Retreat!

Great getaway but still close to home

Perfect place to unplug, turn off the electronics, build a fire and chill. I loved every minute of it. Simple, rustic and perfect. And Hank is awesome. I'll be back.

Cozy and quiet

Inmist say first, that Hank and Lisa are excellent hosts. We didn't get the pleasure of meeting Lisa in person this time, but the preparations and decor (xmas/winter) were done so perfectly it would seem a talent. Such care and thoughtfulness, she really made the place feel like a perfect retreat. Hank is as genial as anyone I've ever met and just as helpfull to boot. Anything we forgot, they had. The cabin and property are absolutely beautiful. As well, the sister river is just pure bliss to kayak. Once you're out a mile or two from the property, its just youvand your mate and it genuinely feels it. If i could give 6 stars, I would! Thanks for evwrything Hank and Lisa! We can't wait to come visit again next year!

Cute little cabin

We enjoyed this cute little rustic cabin! The bed was so comfortable. Everything was clean and we were provided everything we could have possibly needed during our stay.

Off the beaten path

We are always looking for somewhere to stay that’s off the beaten path. The little Rustic cabin didn’t disappoint. Nice and Quite

Stayed there for Thunder Beach spring rally. While out in the boonies, was an easy 23min ride into town. Was a nice break from the excitement of town.

Loved the Rustic Cabin!

Diane and Hank are very nice people, a pleasure to have met them both! The Rustic Cabin was exactly what we were looking for... close enough to PCB but also away from the crowds and traffic. It was a good place to get away for a few days! Hope to visit again soon!!

Great getaway

My husband and I enjoyed our weekend. We went for fishing and they weren’t really biting but we enjoyed ourselves nonetheless. The WiFi comes and goes and we had zero cel service the entire time (Verizon and AT&T both) but otherwise a great weekend.

Quiet place

The little cabin was clean and it had everything to cook our meals. For us it wasn’t that far to go to the beach every day. Our 5 year old son had fun “fishing” at the river.

Beautiful Cabin

My boyfriend and I came here to celebrate our anniversary and plan to make it a yearly tradition. I absolutely love the outdoors and this cabin is so personal and beautiful. The hosts were amazing and super communicative and the cabin included small necessities that I personally forgot to pack myself so that was an extra bonus! Spent a nice evening on the screened in porch listening to the sounds of the river. If you enjoy the outdoors and being close to nature I would 10/10 recommend!

Beautiful cabin

This was a very nice quiet day he was very relaxing I really enjoyed being able to just have a quiet weekly love. The neighbors were very sweet and the cabin was very beautiful and comfortable I would definitely come again.

Hank and partner, Diane, enjoy the life on the river. Fishing freshwater in the river and 20 minute boat ride to the bay for saltwater fishing. We love the wildlife in its ever changing seasons. We love sharing our peaceful and beautiful area. We are off the beaten path of the hustle and bustle deep in the woods. We have WiFi but from time to time and depending on your phone service, may be challenging at times. But no complaints, everyone loves the getaway!
