Hits the spot

For me this stay it was perfect location - choice of spots to watch the game, eat and meet friends for cherry drop (look it up), all 5 minutes walking at most. The cottage was cleaned professionally, well outfitted and kept up.

Comfy, quiet and good location in Sister Bay

We enjoyed our stay in Sister Bay at this small home. I think we took advantage of everything it had to offer. We enjoyed the bikes from the shed in back, the grill, the outdoor tables and chairs, and the fire pit with plentiful wood. We also cooked a few simple meals there and of course coffee in the mornings. Easy walk or bike ride to Sister Bay offerings like restaurants, boats or beach. Updates in the kitchen were apparent and while we cooked a few meals, this is not a gourmet kitchen. Just plan for simple stuff. Laundry came in handy too. Owner Mathew was always responsive.

Perfect for Families

This was an absolutely perfect rental for a small/young family! Amazing location and they really thought of everything. Extra towels and pillows and even a pack n play! Would definitely stay again!

Perfect for our family!

We had a wonderful stay at Matthew's place. The location is perfect, just a hop skip jump from the lake and downtown sister bay. We really enjoyed being close enough to everything but just off the main drag so we could have privacy and quiet when needed. Everything was as described! We were comfortable with the amenities and new AC system. We easily had a bonfire one evening as well! We will most definitely consider using Matthew's place for our next Door County trip.

Comfortable, Clean, Close to town

House was comfortable and clean, plenty of extra blankets and pillows, and was easy to walk to town if we wanted.

Our Intro to Door County

Our cottage was clean, comfortable, quiet, and close enough to town we walked through harbor every day. Back yard had privacy for bonfires and grilling. Enjoyed the firepit every night after a day of adventuring. There was a generous amount of firewood. The only suggestion I’ll make is for those who love to bonfire as we do, a shovel and fire poker would be found most useful to clean the pit and manage the fire. When we stay here again, we hope to find those useful items conveniently hung on an exterior shed wall.

Lovely location! Cute house!

House was very clean. Looked very new. Excellently outfitted. Cute, quiet getaway. But very close to shops and restaurants. Cleanest rental that I have experienced. Could tell owners took a lot of effort to make sure guests had everything they needed. Will definitely come back.

Honeymoon House

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon. The furniture in the bedrooms was a bit different than we were expecting, but it didn’t make too much of a difference for us. The location was fantastic and it was a good “home base” for us while we adventurer around Door County.

Quiet retreat for the weekend.

We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back. Home was nicely finished and had all the amenities, and more, that we needed. Location was very convenient yet quiet. Everything was very clean and check in and out was simple as can be. Have to say the fall fall colors this year were amazing - best we've seen ever. Loved going to all our favorite restaurants and galleries. Love staying in Sister Bay since we spend almost all of our time on that end of the Peninsula. Thanks for everything to our hosts.

Nice.

Nice place. Great location. A little pricey but I think it's just the area. The furniture was not really comfortable and the beds were just OK. Appliances are nice and new. I used the washer and dryer as well. Plenty of towels and blankets. We loved having the firepit and used it every night. Plenty of wood but we had to split it. Bring an ax. Also bring all the little extras such as spices and oils. All toiletries as well. We made a lot of runs to Piggly Wiggly which is nice and close. (Usually I bring too much!) We had a great time and I would rent this place again. Thank you Matt!

Great home, great location

Very comfortable place to relax, sleep and decompress. Sister Bay is a great place to stay as it’s easy to get to any destination on the Peninsula from there. Good communication with homeowner and all of the home rules and expectations are clearly laid out.

Perfect location

We stayed at this beautiful house that was easily walkable to sister bay. The house was nicely updated and super clean and it was on a perfect quiet street. My family of four with kids 10 and 11 had the best week and looking forward to rebooking for next year.

Great location

If you want great location and access to all that upper Door County offers this might be the place. This cottage is clean, completely updated, well maintained and located with in walking distance of all the town's amenities. Sister Bay has plenty of great restaurants and bars. The cottage is 2 blocks from the lake and not far from all the state and county parks in Door county.

Great cabin on a wooded lot near downtown

The cabin was clean, very well-appointed and in a great location! The only disappointment was that the air conditioning was not central - it was located in the main room. We were lucky that the week was cool or we may have had a warm bedroom (we prefer to sleep quite cool.) Other than that it met our expectations! The owner was also very accessible.

Wonderful place in Sister Bay!!

Totally updated cottage. Lots of amenities including grill, patio set, fire pit and wood. Quiet neighborhood but very close to Sister Bay. Would definitely stay here again!!!

Amazing location with everything you need!

This rental was perfect for our family. INCREDIBLE location and we loved walking to the restaurants and park in Sister Bay. Well equipped and CLEAN! We would definitely stay here again in the future.

Best Getaway Place!

This little property is quiet and quaint. It’s only a couple of blocks off of the main drag in Sister Bay, so the walking distance was a plus! It didn’t feel like you were in the hustle and bustle of all the tourists most of the time. The little yard and fire pit were perfect for quiet evenings after being in town most of the day. The host was very accommodating! We had accidentally left my 5 year old’s necklace and the host graciously texted me to notify me and mailed it back to us! 10/10

Born and raised in Sister Bay, I moved out to Minneapolis for college at the University of Minnesota. Upon graduation, I found a home and stayed in the Twin Cities. I enjoy outdoor activities like boating, snowboarding, and traveling with my family!

This home was build almost 50 years ago for my Great Grandma and has since been rented out by my grandparents in the summer to families and summer visitors. When the opportunity to own our little piece of Door County arose, we were so excited. We love vising family in the summer and enjoying all the parks, beaches, and wonderful things to do in Sister Bay.
