This place had the best view of Lake Granbury that we have seen! The balconies were the most amazing places to have coffee. Really appreciated the almost instant feedback I had with any questions. If I had to think of something that was wrong with the place, it would only be that it had a lot of stairs, but to be expected with such an amazing view!

The house is beautiful and the views can’t be beat. We had 8 people and had enough room for all to enjoy the time on the lake. The dock is a plus if you like boating and fishing.Our only complaint is the ceiling fans don’t work on the two patios (only one does), the lighting on the dock and dock furniture needs some work.

Cousin week!

We have 5 girl cousins from different places and this was a great place for us to meet. The 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms are a plus for us ladies. There are stairs but we had no problem with that. Some walked every morning in the neighborhood. Very quiet area. Love the views from living area and all bedrooms! Nice deck to relax and visit. I will recommend to others and would rent again! Terri

Lakehouse

We had a great stay at Granbury Lake. Lovely property. Beds and bathrooms were great along with a wonderful view from almost every room. I failed to see how many stairs are required to go up to front door then down to lower floor and then also outside down to dock. It was all beautiful however we are an older group with one handicapped gal on a cane and another very weak from chemo so the stairs were difficult for those. Again this was not the hosts fault but mine for not realizing it was an issue for those older folks. We managed ok and they had a wonderful time on the floors they could manage. Was a special time with coffee on the balconies and watching the sun come up over the water.

Stay in Granbury

The property is clean and has amazing views. It is located minutes from downtown and lake Marina activities for a quick day out in the town. It includes all amenities for a fun filled weekend on the lake.

The living areas and view were incredible. Everyone had a bed to sleep in. The location was great for our day trips to Glen Rose and surrounding areas.

Beautiful Home - Lots of Room

This home is beautiful, it had everything we needed. The kitchen was well appointed and the appliances worked well. There is one bedroom with an en-suite and another full bath on the main level where the kitchen and living area is, three more bedrooms (including one with an en-suite) and I think two more bathrooms below, with a gorgeous deck overlooking the lake. Be prepared for stairs.

Beautiful lake views & spacious home!

We spent three nights enjoying this home. Very spacious and nice floor plan. The decks are great for lake views and watching the sunset or sunrise. Our family enjoyed the seating for watching movies and playing cards as well as the spacious kitchen. We loved waking up to the water each morning.

Quiet Area with Stunning Views

The pictures really don't do the property and views justice. This was a beautiful property with great natural views that is perfect for a family vacation or a get away with friends. The neighborhood is quiet and neighbors are friendly. The host had every starter we needed including a fully stocked kitchen to cook as little or as much as you want. Would certainly stay again

Beautiful house and views

Our first trip to Lake Granbury. This home is gorgeous and has plenty of room for family members. The views of the lake and the close proximity of restaurants and shopping only add to the charm. Stairs to the lake are steep and numerous but the dock is a great place to swim and hangout. The boat lift and boat ramp being close by made our boating experience that much better. We caught plenty of fish off the dock and cruised the lake as well. We really enjoyed our stay.

Wonderful Views

We stayed here for a mini family reunion. The house was so beautiful inside and out with really nice views of the lake from every room. The family rooms and beds were comfortable and relaxing, everyone slept good after long days out on the lake. We loved having access to our own private dock at the property. This made it easy access to our boats everyday and enjoyed fishing off the dock early morning and late night. The owner was very nice and responded immediately to any questions. We would definitely stay here again and hope we can in the future.

Memorable getaway

The house is beautiful and situated on a cliff, so the views from the porches were wonderful. At my age, I didn't think I could make it down the steep steps to the dock, but it didn't matter because the upstairs porch was my favorite spot to relax and enjoy the view. There were six of us, including two young children, and we all had plenty of comfort and privacy. The living room was large enough that we could all enjoy hanging out together. We hope to come back here again.

It was great; however too many stairs to dock and stairs inside a little steep——we are all 65+and just getting too old for stairs!!! Overall it was great! Need to label switches for lights and fans and some of the fans need attention!

Beautiful Property

Great property, very spacious, very well equipped with beautiful views of the water and great amenities including usage of kayaks and paddle boards. The only reason to give this property a 4 start rating was lack of curtains in 3 of the 4 bedrooms, the sun rises over the lake and the rooms were super bright at 7 in the morning....forcing everyone to get up after late nights. also the patios could have been cleaner, there were cobwebs and need a better cleaning

Beautiful weekend!

Great girlfriends getaway weekend! As my friend said, a la Mary Poppins, it was “practically perfect in every way.” Top 3 favorites: incredible lake views from both levels, large dining table for 8, & equally spacious & comfortable living room seating for visiting & games…as well as outdoor seating on the balconies. As others have mentioned, there is only one bedroom on the main floor…but the stairs to the lower level were ‘negotiable,’ even for most of us septuagenarians. If you’re a large group, plan to carpool, as there is only parking for 3 cars. But overall, this is the best rental we’ve found for our group in many years!

Beautiful views, tricky for young kids

This home has beautiful views, lots of outdoor living space, and a well outfitted kitchen - overall it is great for a large group of adults and older kids. However, it has TONS of stairs, both inside and outside, that make it a real challenge for kids under 2 (and we had two of those in our group). While it is technically "on the water", it is not ideal for swimming and the dock is unsafe. A member of our party fell through a rotten board but luckily was not seriously injured. I expect that the host will fix that board soon, and they were responsive when I reached out about the incident, but the dock as a whole is in need of serious repair/replacement.

Nice place, but it lacked cleanliness

The location was great as was the view and access to the lake. Our only complaint was the cleanliness. There was dust, dirt, and spiders/ webs everywhere. We had to clean the windows to fully enjoy the views from inside. The inside was ok, but we felt like all of the outside areas had to be cleaned before we could enjoy them. When the host was notified, we were told that it would be looked into. As a former VRBO owners, we felt obligated to share this info. It was obvious the place wasn’t maintained well or even often. A routine pest spray and window cleaning throughout would do wonders. The “industrial” ice maker was a portable ice maker and it was broken. The main ice maker didn’t work as well. The were not all huge issues, but would expect the windows to be free of dirt and film inside and out when the listing speaks so highly about the views from each room.

We had been looking for a family gathering spot that will be welcoming for all. Older folks have easy access to the main floor, master bedroom and the upper deck. The young ones will have a blast enjoying the downstairs gameroom and access to the water.
