Peaceful location with all the country charm of a dream. The home was comfortable and my favorite part was the friendly donkeys that visited us in the evenings.

A Little Piece of Heaven

The Highland Hideout felt like spending a weekend in heaven for us! The house was beautiful and so were the surroundings. Our daughters loved feeding the donkeys and the cows! The stars were beautiful, and the peace and quiet was just what we needed! Stephanie & Adam were wonderful host, and they house had everything we needed to be comfortable! We enjoyed exploring town and the local nature preserve, hiking trails and the lake. If you need a place to slow down and relax, look no further! This is the place! We will definitely be back!

This house is perfect, enough space for 5 of us to feel at home!

We enjoyed our stay, got to relax and spend some time together cooking and eating in the nice spacious kitchen and dining area. My parents traveled with us and my mom had no complaints! My 12 yo daughter loved the animals across the fence and enjoyed the perfect sitting area outside for making s’mores. Everything was perfect. Leaving was the hard part!

Family Time at Highland Hideout

Highland Hideout is wonderful! My two teen-age sons and I stayed several nights while visiting with family in the area. Sitting in the rocking chairs on the front porch in the morning and evening was so relaxing. Since the temperature was in the 80 to 100 degrees range our entire visit, it was too hot for us to use the fire pit. However, we checked it out and it looks like it would be an awesome place to sit and unwind on cooler evenings. Communication with the owner was easy and she responded very quickly. The property is beautiful and well maintained. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Highland Hideout and would not hesitate to recommend this property to others.

Slice of Country Heaven in Sulphur, OK

Highland Hideaway is a slice of country heaven outside of Sulphur, OK. The house is comfortable, cozy and relaxing. The decor is farmhouse chic with personal touches (family hunting trophy and story are touching and funny)! Kitchen appliances are up to date and acommodate weekend travelers like us or long term travelers who need to cook and to do laundry while in residence. The beds and pillows are firm and comfortable. Bathrooms are designed to accommodate people who shower vs. people who takes baths. The outdoors is spectacular. So much to see - birds, wildflowers, deer, donkeys and cows during the day, and amazing star gazing at night. Again the host went the extra mile to construct a pavilion with party lights and fire pit in the area behind the house, and a comfy front porch with several rocking chairs to while away a morning sunrise or sunset. We look forward to returning to Highlands Hideaway for another nature retreat.
