Our family really enjoyed our stay at this property! The kiddos loved the pool and lake access. We played a family kickball game on the lawn and had the time of our lives. The home was clean when we got there, described perfectly, host was great and we would definitely recommend anyone to stay here if they are in the area!

We had the best time here. It was great having 2 houses, pool and lake. Best time sitting around the fire pit and enjoying family & friends. Anything you need they had. We will be back.

This home is a great vacation place. Beautiful, private and lots of room. Nice yard, boat dock and the pool was a hit with the kids.Well stocked with everything we needed in the kitchen. We had a great time.

The house was perfect for our large family. The owners provided lots of activities from kayaking to board games. The house was stocked with so many great items, from condiments to coolers. You really didn’t need to bring anything besides clothes. As an extra bonus the house was beautifully decorated and included a Christmas tree. We couldn’t of asked for a better place to celebrate our family Christmas.

Owner was very responsive when we had a small hvac issue.Dock is in very shallow water if you have an inboard only boat. Pool was perfect and the house had great amenities. I would rent again.

Perfect place for a Octa-gone WILD!

There was 13 Ladies that absolutely Loved it! Many chairs, great spaces, the owners thought of Everything! We have already inquired about getting it again next year!!!

Fun family vacation!

Our trip to Matt and Laura‘s place was extremely fun. They have everything a family would need, including a pool, water sports activities, big fenced yard, grill, guest house and main house. They were both very helpful and our family is already talking about trying to find dates to go back next year!

Cool Property

This house was unique with great common areas and sleeping quarters. Bonus building gave us plenty of beds to stay in. Pool table and ping pong kept us busy the day it rained. Plenty of parking!

Wonderful Weekend

We stayed here Mother’s Day weekend and had a wonderful time! Everyone enjoyed the pool and fishing off the dock. The house and guest house were exactly as pictured. Laura responds quickly to messages and is a wonderful host. Thank you Laura for allowing us to stay at your beautiful lake house!

Wonderful Family Vacation

We enjoyed everything about this location. The pool was a favorite along with the fire pit and roasting marshmallows and Twinkies. Lots of kayaking, fishing, boating, relaxing on the swing and watching all the wildlife. We had plenty of room for everyone. We cook everything for the week and the kitchen was very well equipped. We hope to stay at this location again!!!

Great family holiday

This house became the hub for all our family to hang out and have meals. The kids kept busy with all the activities this home provided, especially the pool table. In the evening all our surrounding area family would hang out by the fire. Would definitely return.

Family Vacation 2023

We had a wonderful time swimming in the beautiful pool, floating and kayaking in the lake, fishing, and playing games inside and out. The house accommodated our family of 8 adults and 8 children very well. The property was beautiful and had a frisbee golf feature that our family enjoyed when we weren’t in the water.

Family, Friends and a Wedding

The Palmer and Oak property is amazing. My son got married in Milledgeville on May 6th and we needed a property that would accommodate a large group of family and friends. This was the perfect place. There were plenty of activities to enjoy and keep the young adults busy. The decor was beautiful and the property was clean and well maintained.

Really neat place!

The location for us (proximity to The club at Lake Sinclair) was by no means ideal as it was a hard to follow gps of 25 minutes. However, the house and grounds were fantastic. Someone has done a fantastic job of renovating a very unique older property. Would be an incredible place for a young family or two to enjoy a vacation. Double thumbs up !!

Lake Weekend

Our host was excellent; she responded quickly and satisfactorily to each question. We had plenty of room and lots of activity options. The grandsons enjoyed the pool, the games from the game closet, the pool table, ping pong. Our fisherman caught a cooler full of fish. The nature lover wandered the grounds and admired the trees, plants, and birds.Easy to find location, in a quiet neighborhood not too far from town.My only caution would be that the stairs to the kitchen in the main house would be a challenge to the very elderly or infirm.Thank you for a wonderful family stay.

Lakeside paradise

We rented both lake houses. Beautiful grounds and ample amenities for all….ping pong, pool table, laser tag board games and chess board —-to name a few. Wonderful family bonding and catch up time. Kitchen stocked with utensils, plates, cookware, plastics for leftovers, basic spices coffee, tea and sugar. The swimming pool was a big hit and used daily by all. Matt and Laura are extremely responsive to any questions before and during stay. Thank you both and we plan on returning next year

Fun vacation home for family reunion

This home has a very welcoming feel and nice touches. The owners provided some toiletries and paper products. They were also very responsive to any questions. We had 16 people and there was lots of room for parking. The showers were great, and we never ran out of hot water. The beds were comfortable. Our family really enjoyed the pool table, ping pong table and the huge pool. We played many games around the large dining room table and enjoyed smores around a camp fire. The yard is huge with lots of shade and has a nice swing overlooking the lake. Our family didn't swim in the lake (too many weeds), but we did ride our jetskis. We would come back again.

Great for families

The property looked the same as in the listing picutres. Beautiful home with everything needed for a comfortable stay. The beds/pillows were very comfortable. The kitchen was nicely equipped. Rooms were spacious with lots of storage space for clothing. There were lots of recreational items at the home - pool table, ping pong table (recently added), board games, kids books, outdoor toys (frisbees, bats and wiffle balls, football, basketball, soccer ball, disc golf and a huge yard to play in. We also enjoyed the pool with slide and the fire pit. The included kayaks were also used and were fun. The boat dock was nice and we fished every day. There is a table and chairs on the dock but no shaded area, except covering the boat slip. Cons: it is obvious this is a dog friendly property as there was dog hair everywhere, including on the sheets in the master bedroom. We had to wash the sheets before we slept in the bed. The towels were white, which I appreciate, but they were permanently stained and dingy. We washed those too before use but it didn't help. It's time for new towels. There were roaches. We killed several crawling on the floors but we also witnessed them crawling in the silverware drawer so we had to wash every dish before using it. The pool was not the cleanest when we arrived. It is surrounded by trees so leaves get in the pool. A pool cleaner did come on our next to last day. It was much nicer after that. The pool slide was fun. Overall, this was a nice location.

This is your next family or large group destination, no need to look further! The pool was great, and we spent so much time having fun and cooling off there! For others in our group the fishing, kayaking, and pool table were a big hit!! Check in/out were so much simpler than most places we have stayed. However, the owner doesn’t list how much MORE comes with this property … like a ping pong table, frisbee golf stand and frisbees, pool floats and pump, a wall scrabble game, bathing supplies, lots of outdoor chairs, fishing poles, life vests for various sizes, and a well-supplied kitchen! Even coffee for the coffee maker!! I will say though, there are stairs to reach the main level (kitchen, den, and a master bedroom), so keep this in mind if you have very young or older members of your group who might struggle to manage them. Otherwise, it’s a really great place to stay!! (We also arrived right after a very bad storm causing lots of debris and yard trash in the yard and pool area … Laura had workmen and a pool service there to sort everything out!)

Our host was extremely helpful and answered all our questions prior to our arrival. The lake view was fabulous, and the property was very spacious. We utilized the boat house with a family round robin ping pong game that was so much fun. Also did a s’mores bonfire event by the lake. The kitchen area was great for the 13 people we had. It was a bit difficult to bring groceries and staples up the stairs, (I didn’t realize the kitchen was on the second floor).

Great Place

The property was just like the listing. The owner was great to work with. The pool was a hit with the group and we enjoyed relaxing by the lake. The fire pit was a plus and the kids enjoyed watching the lighten bugs at night. We looking forward to coming again.

Lovely home. House and lake worked perfect for our family get together. Would definitely stay again.

Everything was wonderful. My only concern was that I had to contact the manager about check in information. We were coming from different locations and already in route to the house. This may be common procedure? No days we are trained to watch for scams. The property manager did respond quickly so all was good. Just made me nervous and the fact that I had to call everyone while on the road traveling was a bit inconvenient.
