Nearby Maine experiences include the world-famous Acadia National Park with hiking, biking, bird-watching and kayaking; the timeless lobstering villages of Prospect Harbor, Winter Harbor, and Corea with their blown glass and art galleries, quaint shops, and local seaside eateries; and bustling Ellsworth, where you can tour Maine’s premier historic estate Woodlawn Museum with its 180 exquisite acres and stately home or even try your skill at Candlepin bowling, played primarily in the Canadian Maritime provinces and here in New England!

Catch the ferry from Winter Harbor to Bar Harbor if you long for sightseeing, shopping, dining, and the historical sights of Mount Desert Island. Perfect place and location!!!

We absolutely loved our stay at this lovely home! The house is spacious, clean and beautiful! The views from the deck are spectacular! The house is in a great location. Jill and Jed are fantastic and gracious hosts! They made our stay even more memorable! We will definitely come back!

Awesome getaway

Wonderful, quiet getaway on the water. This is an amazing house with all you want in a quiet retreat. Plus the owners were very generous in setting us up for a great stay. We were vary pleased and enjoyed our stay.

Relaxing stay

Our stay

Everything about this stay was amazing. The cleanliness, the communication, the small details, and the view. There were fresh flowers in the property when we arrived. The hosts really care and want you to have a great time.

Welcoming House and Hostess

Jill was fantastic in preparing us for our visit and supporting us as I asked many questions about the property and the area. The home is comfortable and versatile. We cooked, we grilled, we enjoyed time together in and out of the house. A great vacation home.

Perfect Getaway

We absolutely loved staying here during our Maine vacation! After a busy day in Bar Harbor or Acadia, it was the perfect retreat to re-energize and plan for the next day. We hope to come back soon! P.S. - our daughter named the 2 bunnies that visit daily Clifford & George.

Great location, beautiful home

This VRBO experience was great. The house is well equipped and contained everything we needed. Lots of linens and towels and very comfortable beds. Our group of 9 never felt crowded, with so many different places to be, both indoors and outside. Highly recommended!

Perfect for families

The house was perfect for our family of 9. Lots of space to enjoy. For a family who plays lots of games, the game room was a real hit! Coffee on the rocks at the shoreline in the mornings and drinks on the deck at night were the perfect start and end to the day.

Perfect place for a family vacation!

Our extended family of 10 stayed at this beautiful seaside home for a week and had the best time. The house was very clean and well appointed; it had absolutely everything we needed and so much more. Jill and Jed were incredibly gracious and helpful hosts and even helped with recommendations for the Fourth of July! The house is conveniently located but far away from the crowds. We especially enjoyed spending time on the deck overlooking the bay and exploring the rocky shoreline at low tide. We got to see lots of wildlife - many birds, foxes, and even a porcupine. This is an outstanding house in a great location.

A Very Special Place

We so enjoyed our stay at this property - from early morning walks among the fresh smell of pine to watching the tides come and go in the bay - what a special place! Close enough to Acadia to make everything we wanted to see accessible, but far enough off the beaten path to be able to relax and unwind at the end of a busy day. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home - many special memories were made on this three-generation trip.

Prospect Harbor Waterfront Property

Home and view were beautiful. Home was well stocked with towels, dinnerware, and shower supplies. All equipment worked perfectly. Quality of included items was outstanding. Location was very secluded and peaceful. An absolutely first rate rental.

Fall colors

We had a great time in Maine. This home was absolutely beautiful, wonderfully decorated, the outdoor space was also great. We used the outdoor fire pit and the sky was absolutely stunning with the Milky Way and stars right above. We were greeted with fresh flowers, some amazing breakfast coffee cake, and other amenities to make us feel welcomed. It was a very peaceful and private location!

Amazing views and clean

We felt at home but with a view. Lots of games for children, comfort, and a beach that you can see from the deck (just a short drive around the block). We only stayed four nights, but there were plenty of yard games and board games to keep our family busy for two weeks. 100% hit with everyone and the host is so kind and helpful in his correspondence. If we head back to Maine, we will stay here again.

Wonderful Family Getaway

We had a great stay, lots of space for a large group, two families of five. The teenagers enjoyed the puzzles and many indoor and outdoor games. Impressive library of books too. My daughter loved the piano, filling the air with music. The kitchen was spacious and there was plenty of space for sleeping, we felt at home. We enjoyed hiking the less busy Schoodic part of Acadia nearby, with easy to challenging trails. Views from the deck are breathtaking! An overall great vacation getaway!

Perfection

One cannot adequately describe the joy experienced by us all when we stayed at this oceanfront home. The view, the gentle slope to the rocks, the different levels in the house which give access to various interests, the easy communication with property manager...the list could go on. Beautiful & Private

If it is peace and quite you are looking for, this property is ideal. It is well appointed with personal touches throughout. The large deck had a variety of seating perfect to look out over the beautiful bay. We loved hanging out at the fire pit. Be prepared to eat in (which the fully stocked kitchen made easy) as there aren't a lot of dining options nearby. However, the seclusion and privacy made it the perfect location to thoroughly enjoy your group.

Wonderful vacation spot in Maine

We spent a lovely week in this beautiful home in Maine. The location is beautiful & quiet, the house was bright, clean, nicely decorated, & well-stocked, and we were welcomed with a personal note from the owner. There was lots of space for our group to spread out or come together for family fun. We brought our canoe & kayak and were able to launch from the property despite the rocky shoreline, but there were also easier launching spots a short drive away. We happened to be there during a bit of a heat wave but the home is well-stocked with tower fans for every room. Thank-you for providing such a lovely get-away location!

An Absolute Gem!

I can't say enough good things about this property. Our group had 5 adults and 3 children. The house was immaculate and the owners thought of everything to make our stay comfortable. Communication with Jill was perfect - she responded quickly to all of my questions and her responses were always thorough. She also gave some great suggestions for restaurants and things to do in the area. Adorable location, about an hour from Bar Harbor, and there are some beautiful walks, shops, and a couple of great restaurants nearby. You can entertain yourself for a couple of hours just driving the coastline and stopping to take in the views. My family had to drag me away away from the rocks, the views of the ocean, and sound of the waves at the end of our visit. I didn't want to leave! I highly recommend this property. You won't be disappointed!

Coastal Paradise

We had such an amazing time at this amazing property! The house was in a perfect location, secluded with a great view of the harbor, and just close enough to Winter Harbor, Corea, Prospect Harbor, Ferry to Bar Harbor, and the scenic byways of the Schoodic Park area. We felt like we were staying on the coast of Ireland. The house itself was absolutely perfect! Beautiful, well maintained, well provisioned, and stocked with countless games and books. Two days in, we were on VRBO trying to book this property for a winter trip! No luck there, but we had such a wonderful time we will certainly return! Thanks!!!!!

Everything you could want

Couldn't have asked for a better place for our annual Maine vacation. House was exactly as described -- if not better. Plenty of room (and privacy) for 8 adults. Modern house, extremely well kept and clean. Awesome views, ocean really is steps away and a beach a short walk. Location may seem a bit remote, but the house and privacy are worth a few minutes extra drive. Ferry to Bar Harbor is close and that is a scenic 40 minute ride if you don't want to drive (and park, ughhh). Owners/Manager uber-responsive and respectful when a minor plumbing issue popped up. Welcome gift was the cherry on top. Definitely a house we would rent again.
