Nearby Maine experiences include the world-famous Acadia National Park with hiking, biking, bird-watching and kayaking; the timeless lobstering villages of Prospect Harbor, Winter Harbor, and Corea with their blown glass and art galleries, quaint shops, and local seaside eateries; and bustling Ellsworth, where you can tour Maine’s premier historic estate Woodlawn Museum with its 180 exquisite acres and stately home or even try your skill at Candlepin bowling, played primarily in the Canadian Maritime provinces and here in New England!

Catch the ferry from Winter Harbor to Bar Harbor if you long for sightseeing, shopping, dining, and the historical sights of Mount Desert Island. This was honestly one of (if not the) best houses I’ve ever rented. We stayed for 5 nights. Jill (host) was awesome and super responsive & thoughtful. Amazingly clean home and beautiful yard. Tons of thoughtful touches- like a fridge stocked with drinks and a welcome coffee cake. Tons of towels, stocked toiletries, etc. such a great stay for our whole family. Thank you!

We were pleasantly surprised that the property was even better than the photos showed. From the moment we drove down the tree lined driveway to the house sitting right on the coast we fell in love with the place. The owners were very helpful and accommodating and the location absolutely cannot be beat.

This place was a perfect fit for our crew of 9. Lots of areas for everyone to relax and visit. The kids enjoyed their privacy and were delighted to see their favorite games were available to play. The view was great and sitting there viewing the ocean could easily been done for hours. We saw fish jumping, ducks chasing schools of fish; which would pop up out of the water, and various other ocean dwellers. We didn't notice there wasn't air conditioning when booking, and even though it was a very hot week when we left everything open like instructed the house stayed cool...and we all like a cool temp setting. We appreciated that they had a lobster pot and everything needed to cook a lobster dinner. The price was a bit more than we wanted to pay, but seemed comparable to other listings. Their little touches did make it extra special. We were also grateful they didn't mind if we had guest who were staying nearby visit in the evening. Gave us an opportunity to reconvene in the evening and see what everyone had been up to as we unexpectedly got separated a few days. We were also able to enjoy the meteor shower from their comfortable deck seating. Seating room outside for everyone to sit comfortably. The cushions do seem to soak up all the night moisture but tipping them up seemed to help and a few dried quickly for the few who wanted to sit outside 1st thing. Lots of updates to the house that make it look brand new.

Awesome getaway

Relaxing stay

Amazing Coastal Maine Vacation

What a wonderful family vacation. The house and property are exactly as described and even prettier in person. Jill was so helpful and gracious. The fridge was stocked with beverages and some delicious coffee cakes which were much appreciated after a long couple days of travel. Our family had a fantastic time enjoying the views, climbing the rocks, and visiting the surrounding area for hikes, great meals and lasting memories.

Peaceful and beautiful.

We have stayed in places all over the world and the hosts for this place were the best. The house was stocked with anything you could possibly need and the hosts left a wonderful welcoming gift. It was extremely clean and the views from the back deck are like something you see on a postcard. We saw harbor seals, bald eagles, and various other animals from the deck.If you want to enjoy the beauty of Maine, this is the place.

Everything about this stay was amazing. The cleanliness, the communication, the small details, and the view. There were fresh flowers in the property when we arrived. The hosts really care and want you to have a great time.

Perfect Getaway

We absolutely loved staying here during our Maine vacation! After a busy day in Bar Harbor or Acadia, it was the perfect retreat to re-energize and plan for the next day. We hope to come back soon! P.S. - our daughter named the 2 bunnies that visit daily Clifford & George.

You will not go wrong here. 1st, Jill & Jed were always responsive to questions. In fact, they went above & beyond to locate a kayak rental facility when the one they recommended initially had a policy change and could not assist us. Additionally, they were very considerate of family members when the nearby town of Corea had a delayed community event. It did not impact our stay but their concern was appreciated. Additionally, they followed up with us after checkout as it was thought we left an item behind. Kindness abounds with these hosts! House is spotless. Had every item we could need including toilet paper, tissues, paper towels, spices, tinfoil, & all kitchen & cooking pots/pans. Loved the frig stocked with beverages, gift of coffee cake & jam. Nature everywhere including adorable 3 otter family, harbor seals, bald eagles, osprey, porcupine, snowshoe hares, chipmunk, red squirrel, deer, loons, ducks, seagulls, terns, crabs, golden finches, chickadees, Northern flicker, hummingbirds, robins, blueberries, & flowers. Memories were made with family game nights, smores by the fire, star-gazing, kayaking in harbor, fishing from rocks, gorgeous mornings on the deck, dinners off the grill, lobster feasts as the sun went down, and beds that were perfectly comfy! Nature, peace, quiet, beauty, and plenty of room for our family reunion of 9 people. Don't pass this place up. We'd love to return. Thank you for the perfect vacation.

Great location, beautiful home

This VRBO experience was great. The house is well equipped and contained everything we needed. Lots of linens and towels and very comfortable beds. Our group of 9 never felt crowded, with so many different places to be, both indoors and outside. Highly recommended!

Perfect for families

The house was perfect for our family of 9. Lots of space to enjoy. For a family who plays lots of games, the game room was a real hit! Coffee on the rocks at the shoreline in the mornings and drinks on the deck at night were the perfect start and end to the day.
