Surrounded by mature trees, the property offers the privacy and relaxed atmosphere of a mountain-style cabin while keeping you close to Clemson, Anderson, Lake Hartwell attractions, marinas, restaurants, and major fishing tournament venues.
The Cabin: Step inside from the covered rocking-chair front porch and you'll immediately feel the warmth of the true log cabin, with soaring pine ceilings, natural wood details, and comfortable spaces designed for gathering. The spacious main living room features a wood-burning fireplace, comforable seating, and a 55-inch Samsung Smart TV. The home includes Wifi, Cable television, and Smart TV's throughout. The fully equipped kitchen makes preparing meals for a group easy, with granite countertops, stainless-steel appliances, double oven with air fryer, and numerous small appliances including a crockpot, blender, toaster, Keurig Duo coffee maker, and more. The dining area is surrounded by windows overlooking the wooded property and features a large farmhouse table with plenty of room for everyone to gather. Need to stay connected? A dedicated office area with a desk, monitor, and complimentary Wi-Fi provides a convenient space for remote work or school.
The home has 2 bedrooms and 1 full (tub/shower) bathroom on the main level and 2 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms on the lower level. The first bedroom on the main level has a King size bed and 40-inch Samsung Smart Television. The second room on the main level has a Queen size bed and a 40" Samsung Smart TV. All bedrooms are large with plenty of space, and the king rooms have space for a pack-n-play or inflatable bed if needed.
The lower level of the home offers the spacious Master Bedroom, with a California King bed, a pack-n-play, a full shower/tub bathroom, and a 37" Flat Screen TV with Apple TV. The fourth bedroom on the lower level of the home has a Full-size bed, a Twin size bed with a twin trundle bed, and a 32-inch Smart Television with Roku. There is a second entertainment/living area on the lower level. This area includes a recreational game room with a Poker Table, Pac Man Arcade Game that includes 14 other games, dart board, various board games, a basket of toys & balls, books, and a comfortable sectional couch/Queen sleeper sofa and 50" Samsung Smart Television. This living area also has a kitchenette with a second refrigerator, dishwasher, coffee maker, sink, and bar. The laundry room on the home's lower level has a Whirlpool washer, dryer, and utility wash sink.
1.3 Acres of Private Outdoor Living: One of the best features of Tigetown Lakeside Retreat is the outdoor space. The cabin's expansive wraparound porches provides multiple places to relax, dine, and enjoy peaceful wooded surroundings. The main-level porch includes three outdoor dining tables, a fun Tiki-style bar area, and a Weber gas grill. Downstairs, a covered patio provides another comfortable private place to unwind outdoors. Gather around the fire pit in the evening for s'mores, hot dogs, or storie, and time together under the trees. Families with children will love the whimsical two-story playhouse, complete with electricity, a play kitchen and tool table. The property also includes Cornhole and a variety of outdoor games and balls. The property features a large fenced yard giving dogs and children additional space to enjoy the outdoors. There is even a special dog-friendly walk-up ramp.
Tiger Fans and Raven Fans will appreciate being only 13 miles from Clemson University and Anderson University, making the cabin an excellent home base for football and sports weekends, graduations, campus visits, reunions, and other University events. Anglers love the space and location this property provides. There is plenty of private parking for vehicles, boats, and trailers, and Green Pond Landing and Event Center - home to the major Bassmaster events - is only approximately 5 miles away. We have proudly hostes anglers participating in the Bassmaster, Junior Bassmaster, and other fishing tournaments. Portman Marina and waterfront dining are approximately 2.5 miles away, and local bait and tackle shops are conveniently located on the way to the marina.
Please note: Lake Hartwell is a reservoir with naturally fluctuating water levels. Due to the current drought and unusually low lake levels, water is temporarily receded from our dock and direct water access from the dock is not currently available. Because lake conditions can change, guest planning to bring a boat, kayak, or other watercraft should inquire prior to booking for most current conditions of dock access if needed. The good news is that enjoying Lake Hartwell is still incredibly convenient due to the close proximity of Green Pond Landing and Portman Marina, both approximately five minutes away, providing nearby options for boat launching and lake access.
