*NEW hot tub with amazing lakefront view installed October 18, 2023 and super comfortable master bed in June 2023. Our dog friendly modern Nordic inspired 576 sq. ft. little cabin "Liten Stuga" is your perfect little lakefront getaway! Stunning views of Popple Lake is perfect for SWIMMING & FISHING from our dock during the summer. During the winter months we are conveniently located near snowmobile trails and good ice fishing right on the lake. Located in the country only 1.5 hours east of the Twin Cities & 30 min from Eau Claire! 1+ acre, 160 ft of private shoreline, dock, deck, firepit, & screened in gazebo. Guests have access to our complimentary hot tub (all year), paddle boat, canoe, aqua lily pad & 2 kayaks with signed contract/waiver but are subject to availability and season. Fully stocked kitchen, 1 bedroom, 1 bath & small loft. Sleeps 4. $50 pet fee per dog, 2 dogs max. Guests over 18 must send a picture of their ID to verify guests listed on contract. 3 security cameras onsite.

Restful retreat

The location is incredible, the cabin is cute, cozy, and comfortable. If you need a place to decompress from work, life, or anything else, we couldn't recommend this place more.

Great family vacation

Cabin was just as described and very clean. Worked great for our family. Kids had a blast swimming and fishing. The amenities down by the dock (swim mat, tubes, kayaks, etc.) made for a great time without having to go anywhere. Host checked in to make sure everything was ok for us. Would definitely stay here again.

What an awesome little cottage!

We totally loved our stay at the Liten Stuga! The view of the lake is incredible. The cottage is cozy, clean, and well decorated. The remodel is lovely. The owner’s communication was too notch. We just can’t say enough our wonderful stay. Can’t wait to go back!

Fabulous long weekend!

We had a fabulous weekend at the cabin.The owners checked on us to make sure we arrived and to see if there was anything else we needed. The property was just as described and overall an amazing experience. We had fun exploring the surrounding area, swimming and relaxing with a fire at night. We can't wait to make it back!

Cute and cozy!

This was our second stay at Liten Stuga, and we loved every minute of it! The hot tub was new since our last visit, and such a nice addition! We loved paddling in the canoe and lounging on the lily pad. We had a few campfires, played some board games in the gazebo, and grilled dinner. The only thing we would change is how long we stay! 3 nights just wasnt enough! Looking forward to coming back!

Everything about the property was accurate as listed. Our one complaint would be the bed was very uncomfortable, extremely firm with a large valley in the middle.

Liten Stuga

Cozy cabin perfect for couples. Nice amenities. Loved the lake for swimming, waterfowl, birding ,and the tamarack bog. Nice to have the kayaks, canoe and paddle boat for use. The screened porch was great for relaxing. Beautiful and quiet.

Relaxing and Reenergizing Week

We loved our stay at Liten Stuga with our dog. We woke up each morning to go down to the dock to fish and do yoga. Beautiful and magical views of the water and trees from bed. The kitchen and bathroom were well organized and stocked with everything we could want. Extremely clean and the design details are homey and welcoming. Appreciated the proximity to hiking like Chippewa Moraine, Brunet and Lake Wissota. We hope to visit again in the future. Thank you for being a wonderful host!

Wedding Anniversary

This home & property exceeded our expectations, from cleanliness, to amenities, to even seasonal decor! We ordered the romance package & absolutely loved the local wine & nondairy (special accommodation!) cheesecakes waiting for us upon arrival. We utilized the fire pit, the dock for fishing & swimming, the grill, & the gazebo was our favorite part. Our dog could not get enough of playing ball & swimming here. It was very quiet & serene. We will most certainly be returning. Thank you SO much for sharing this special place with us!

Everything I hoped for and more! Darling cottage; exceptionally clean; just perfect for my dog & I. I never sleep through the night, yet I slept solid each night during my stay, not waking until the morning light. Clean, clear lake, perfect for swimming & making use of the paddle boat. Angela has thought of everything; highly recommend!

A slice of paradise!

We loved our 5 day stay at Liten Stuga to celebrate our 30th anniversary! The sunsets were spectacular, the lake was just amazing, peaceful mornings in the screen room drinking coffee, and LOVED the fishing off the dock! Huge bluegill! Also caught crappie, bass and even small walleye. Was hard to get my husband off the dock! We enjoyed the paddle boat and the lily pad was a perfect place to soak up the hot sun! We even saw a COYOTE run across our steps one evening while we were on the dock fishing! We simply loved it and are already planning our next stay. Thank you Angela for a beautiful place to enjoy some “hygge” in your adorable Nordic rental!

Loved our visit at Liten Stuga

We visited Liten Stuga in July as a short family getaway. This is a beautifully remodeled cabin on a quiet lake. We loved the view of the lake from the large windows. It was so relaxing and peaceful. The cabin is fully stocked with everything you need from towels to all kitchen essentials. The cabin was very clean and beds were comfortable. The kids loved jumping into the lake from the end of the pier and using the kayaks and pedal boat. The host, Angela, is an excellent host. She went above and beyond to make sure our check in was super easy and we didn't have any issues. Communcated expectations which is very helpful. We would highly recommend a stay at Ligen Stuga and look forward to visiting the cabin again. Thank you for letting us stay at your home away from home!

Anniversary weekend

Awesome place to stay with a single family! Located right on the lake with a beautiful view and the feeling of seclusion. The hot tub was an added bonus especially on some cold winter nights. It is located conveniently close to Chippewa falls where you can find a lot of good restaurants and shops!

Beautiful peaceful stay!

The view from this cottage was incredible - waking up to beautiful lake sunrises, getting nightly stunning sunsets, a mostly secluded area where we could hot tub and fish and canoe. What a wonderful hideaway for two for the week. The dock and screened in porch were wonderful bonuses.

Beautiful and relaxing location

Liten Stuga is exactly as advertised. Cute, quaint, quiet. The lake is small but perfect for us as we enjoy paddle sports and calm waters. The updates/remodel to the cabin are spot on for a little lake cabin - not top of the line, but top quality. An easy place to get comfortable and relax. Downton Chippewa Falls was also a pleasant suprise - nothing fancy, but good dining and local shopping options.

Great vacation

The property is as cute as the pictures, and the lake was perfect for a family get away with our dogs. We used the kayaks, canoe, lily pad, paddle boat and swam for two days straight. The location is just out of Chippewa Falls enough to feel like you're in the woods, but close enough to get anything you would need. In the area we tried Old Abe's supper club for dinner, and it was as advertised...and bought maple syrup from the man advertising it across the street. The dogs enjoyed roaming the lake shore and chasing frogs. Great family get away.

Our family enjoys traveling and getting away from city life as much as possible. What a perfect opportunity to own such a beautiful lakefront property close to home for us to experience but also to share with others! With my husband being in the medical field, our cabin has become a staple place for us to relax and rejuvenate while our kids get to experience and enjoy country/lake life.

We purchased the Liten Stuga in December 2020 and started renovating it right away ourselves (with the exception of the new well& sewer). After 6 months of countless hours of hard labor we completed our remodeling project and love every square inch of it. Know that when you stay at our cabin a lot of love and positive energy has gone into making it a perfect getaway.

Our Liten Stuga dog friendly property offers guests a perfect place to get away from it all. From the privacy of our 1+acre wooded property to the untouched forest across the lake creates a great escape from it all. This newly remodeled cabin has been completely redone from floor to ceiling by the owners in a simple modern Nordic decor. Stunning lake views can be viewed through the property and inside the cabin. Our master bedroom has a comfortable queen memory foam mattress with soft cotton sheets for a good nights rest and plenty of extra pillows for each guest. Two twin memory foam mattresses with soft cotton sheets are located in the cozy loft along with some games, cards and puzzles for guests to enjoy. Bedding and linens are provided for each bed. Fully stocked kitchen with a mid size fridge, microwave, glass top stove and a dishwasher. Outside guests will enjoy our complimentary kayaks, canoe, paddle boat, lily pad float mat June-September. Outdoor games such as crochet, bocce ball, kube, trac ball, a hula hoop, and mini disc golf can all be found for guests to use inside the gazebo. Popple Lake is a clean spring fed clean located in the quiet county away from the hustle and bustle. Brunet Island and Lake Wissota State Parks as well as the Chippewa State Moraine Recreation Area are all within 30 minutes of the cabin for those wanting additional outdoor experiences nearby. Come enjoy our perfect getaway at the Liten Stuga!
