Perfect place for a couple or a family with little ones. Hosts are readily available and respond quickly with any question or inquiry. Very updated and clean. The porch is the best part, rain or shine. Have stayed here before and will return.

Perfect in every way! We loved this cottage and plan to return. We had a family health emergency and had to leave early. Our host was extremely gracious. We couldn’t have asked for more!

Excellent stay!

A very peaceful time at the property. With the location being tucked in the woods it was the perfect getaway following our wedding. We will be back.

Cozy Cottage

Loved staying here ! So clean and the owners are so sweet to leave tips of their favorite places and things to do in Door County! Will be back and stay a few more days next time ! LOVED every little touch and detail !!!

Adorable cottage in an ideal location

The cottage was as it appeared in ads. Adorable decor and terrific screened in porch. Lot is nicely wooded and fire pit was great to have. Host provides soo much more than expected in terms of kitchen and cooking needs. Would love to stay again!

Cottage at the lake

The property was a perfect location to go any direction easily. Beautifully decorated with a screened in porch to enjoy the space even more. The owners have thought of everything to make your stay here at the cottage very pleasant.

Lovely Getaway!

My husband, two daughters and I had a great time at the Kookaburra Cottage. The location is perfect to get all around Door County, and the property was private and quiet. Indoors, the home is spacious and nicely appointed with everything we needed. The screen porch is a relaxing retreat. We will be back!

Has become a tradition

This was our second time staying here and it felt like coming home for vacation. The screen porch surrounded by the quiet woods with birds singing was the most serene place to take in the mornings with coffee and a great book So close to everything you may desire to do in Door County. Or far enough away to have a secluded, woodsy safe haven (with all of the amenities) We can’t wait to return!

Cute and Clean Cottage!

We really enjoyed our stay at the cottage. It was very clean and comfortable. We were there off season so we couldn't take advantage of the beautiful screened in porch because it was too cold but it would be a wonderful place to hang out in warmer weather. However, we made good use of the fireplace inside. A cozy place to be in the evenings. The cottage was the perfect size for my mom, daughter and I. We loved the wooded setting, too.

This “cottage” was just perfect for a get away. We would stay here again. The only thing I would say is they need a new coffee pot. It only worked one day. It would brew for a little then stopped. The cottage was only 10 min from anything. We also went to a play at Penninsula Players and it was so great. Highly recommend. We needed one more day to just stay there and enjoy.

Cozy little cottage

What a perfect place to land in door county. Close to everything. Secluded and private. All the amenities one could want. The indoor fireplace was a lovely substitute when it rained the evening we intended a bon fire (the owners even had firewood and starters ready to go for the fire pit). A whole binder of DVDs, baskets full of games, and yard games would have kept us busy for days without needing to leave to explore. We would definitely stay here again!

Modern Cottage Comfort

This cottage is quiet and cozy, but has awesome modern amenities. The pictures are accurate- everything is updated and in pristine condition. The kitchen was well-stocked with cookware— everything we needed to cook full meals. We spent a ton of time on the screen porch- it really extends the living space of this home. Location is private, but close to Baileys Harbor and other destinations. Highly recommend this spot for couples or small families.

Winter Kangaroo Lake Getaway

The property was great, in a great location, close to many things to do (even in January). The amenities and décor were top notch, we were not missing anything. The book of the property owners favorite places and things to do was very helpful and we used it for ideas! Although not an issue for us, the only thing that might be worth mentioning in the property listing is that in the winter, if you have a smaller car, the driveway wasn't plowed and it might be hard to get in if there is a lot of snow. We had a great time and would definitely come back during a different season!

Absolutely Delightful!!

This cottage is so far above others in which we've stayed. Secluded, serene, quiet, surrounded by natural beauty. We had a very bad VRBO experience last year for our 50th wedding anniversary so we were hesitant to try again - but this lovely Kookaburra Cabin on Lake Kangaroo has erased every bad moment and made our 51st memorable! I cannot say enough about this property. Beautifully furnished - the screened in porch is a true highlight and where we spent much of our time. If you go at this time of year (which I hope you don't because we would like to go back), the wildflowers are gorgeous. From rare Lady Slippers to Mayapple and Trillium, lovely. I recommend this for anyone and it's location allows for easy drives up or down the peninsula to various places in Door County. Don't second guess yourself, just reserve it and go!

Cottage Gem in Baileys Harbor

This cottage exceeded my expectations. While it is exactly as pictured, the pictures don't capture the pure tranquility and privacy that the cottage has to offer. It is very well appointed. The enclosed 3 season screened room is a delight and we spent many hours playing cards and relaxing in this space.

Perfect Getaway!

This property was better than the pictures. The cleanliness was immaculate and all the small touches were an added bonus. You can tell that the owners take great pride in their property and want their guests to enjoy their stay. One of my top stays in Door County.

Beautiful Cottage near Bailey's Harbor

This was the nicest cottage I have stayed at in Door County. It seems to be newly renovated, and the kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, dishes, etc. The location was great - private yet close to Bailey's Harbor and easy to get to other parts of Door County. We really enjoyed relaxing with a cup of Door County Coffee on the screen porch. I would definitely stay here again!
