Short and sweet stay

Though the weather didn’t cooperate the entire stay, we were able to view eagles, seals and local water fowl right from the dock. Very enjoyable stay. Lovely cottage.

Beautiful and relaxing

It was clean, perfect view, water access, and a fully stocked kitchen. Easy and breezy stay!! Would go back!

Oceanfront cottage weekend retreat

What a beautiful location and such a nice cottage. We loved the loft area, great deck and the access to the water was wonderful. Kayaks were a nice benefit since we did not have our own boat to dock. We had a nice family weekend here despite a lot of rain!

Quiet Getaway

Can't say enough about this property. The house is meticulous and includes loads of details and amenities that you won't find in other listings. We loved sitting on the dock, watching the boats on the water, the wildlife, and we even met the amazing neighbors up the hill. We will definitely be back!

Just what we were looking for

We were a group of women looking to explore Midcoast Maine, and this was the perfect place to stay. It felt remote and was quiet and peaceful, but just a few minutes to a big grocery store and very close to Brunswick. The cottage had all we needed, and the house manager was on top of it. We were at risk of a hurricane and the house was already stocked with flashlights and extra water and we were kept updated about the circumstances. As it turned out there was nothing besides some wind and a little rain but we appreciated the attention to detail. The cottage was small but perfectly laid out with a gorgeous view of the cove.

Cozy, clean and welcoming

Welcoming, clean, cozy and well-equipped kitchen. Watched exquisite sunrises and moonrise over Snow Island to the east. Great for bird watching, not great if you want to go for walks.

Great Vacation in Harpswell!

This was the perfect spot to explore Harpswell and surrounding areas. The house was extremely clean and comfortable, and the water view from the living room was beautiful. I enjoyed peaceful breakfasts each morning out on the deck. We missed seeing the seals, but did spot two eagles when using the two provided single-person kayaks. We were there during a bit of a heat wave, so were very grateful for the bedroom air conditioners! The house is close to many outdoor adventures and attractions. We especially enjoyed the hiking trails, a fun boat tour with Capt. Len of Casco Bay Sights-n-Lights, and a trip to beautiful Popham Beach. And, of course, there are many spots close by to get delicious seafood meals! The property manager was great, and the house has everything you need for a wonderful vacation! We hope to return someday!

Relax, Relax, Relax - What a view!

Gorgeous views. Great location. LOTS of choices for beds to sleep in and wonderful views both inside and out to enjoy your morning coffee or drinks later in the day. We didn't use the kayaks as they're one person and our kids are too young to go solo, but lots of amenities and household items provided. Property management responded promptly to assist with one issue related to a door lock. Only 15 minutes to Brunswick for groceries, restaurants etc. and about 30-40 minutes to lots of local attractions both natural and otherwise. Be sure to check out Pammy Ice Cream Parlor - wonderful friendly owners and fabulous ice cream. Tree swings for kiddos and cornhole for grownups. Would definitely rent here again!

Incredible spot!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this property in Harpswell. It has incredible views and is such a peaceful spot. We loved relaxing on the deck and seeing seals, bald eagles, herons, and boats go by. The house is in amazing condition with everything you might need during your stay. We absolutely plan to return!

Awesome stay

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay! So awesome waking up to the sunrise across the cove. With coffee in hand, hearing nothing but the birds was kind of like paradise. Had a full moon rise at night that just lit up the whole cove. Spectacular. The house was everything as advertised. We are very particular about our beds, but found theses extremely comfy. It is a great place for a get away. Hi would highly recommend it.

Gorgeous cabin, beautiful views, amazing management.

Harpswell Haven by the Sea is perhaps the closest thing to paradise that my wife or I have ever found on Earth. The cottage itself is BEAUTIFUL, with plenty of space for two or three families to comfortably hang out together without even being in each other's way, located just thirty steps from the bay, with a deep-water anchorage and a dock suitable for large boats, kayaks, canoes or swimming. The world outside your windows is on amazing display; the living room faces full-size windows that look out onto the bay. Seals, sailboats, bald eagles and beautiful sunrises are part of every day. (I was untying a kayak and a seal came right up to me to see what I was doing -- it was the closest I've ever seen one in the wild!) There are tons of amazing attractions in the area, including the Maine Maritime Museum, but most exciting for me was the kayaking and hiking. The bay is well-sheltered and the dock makes launching easy, but the ocean is close by, so novice and expert kayakers alike will have plenty to be happy with. The hiking trails are beautiful, well-maintained and nowhere near crowded, which is another huge plus in my book. Most importantly, though, the people managing this property are wonderful. We broke a window on our first night there. (Long story... accidents happen.) My wife and I were absolutely mortified, and Sheri was the most understanding, patient, kind and wonderful person to deal with through the entire process of getting that resolved. She worked super hard to ensure the fix would be fast, cheap and not interrupt our vacation (even though we had put her through quite a lot of stress!) I cannot wait for the time when I'll have a chance to visit again. My wife and I are already making plans.

Perfect Getaway

This property was perfect for just the two of us. Peaceful, clean, and very relaxing. Beautiful views of the water and we even saw the seal once every day. Groceries and Starbucks within 6 miles so I couldn't have been happier. We ventured out to sightsee every day but nothing was that far away. All within an hour or so. Cottage had everything you needed (both a Keurig and a regular coffeepot.) We would definitely stay here again.

Great house right on the water

We had a great stay in Harspwell. The house is right on the water, and the view from the living room windows is fantastic, as well as being great for bird and seal watching. Everything was clean and thoughtfully prepared for our arrival. It was a lovely vacation!

You will not regret staying at this little slice of heaven. This is a perfect property for a couple or small family.
