Steps from the beach!

I felt that it could have been much cleaner, but it was a good spot for a beach trip. You can see the ocean from the balcony and it was only a few yards from the beach. It’s also within walking distance to many store, restaurants and sights. The host was very helpful and we had a nice stay. 😊

Cleanliness

The area rugs need to be replaced or removed, the rocking chair in the living room space was so dirty we put a sheet over it, the fold out bed’s mattress is unusable, I’m thankful I brought an air mattress just in case. The shower was so small with a huge shower head that doesn’t fit so it was extremely hard to shower for taller people. I’m only 5’8 and it wasn’t easy at all.

Old Orchard Charm

Charming little upstairs cottage, a mere 50 steps from the sand. Nothing fancy here but most of the amenities are covered. NO Problems with the TV, Cable or Internet. Cute corner store(s) a block up the street. One mile from the pier. 4 miles from the Hannaford. Isaiah is quick to get back to you and a pleasure to deal with. You'll enjoy your stay here, trust me.

Unsafe Environment

Owner sprayed some kind of insecticide within the duplex while our dog was as inside. The tenant downstairs observed a pest control company at the property, asked what he was spraying and if it was safe to be around - he said she needed to contact the owner. She was then told to keep her pet and her self out side for a few hours. While my dog is upstairs and we were at the beach. I came back to make lunch and smelled chemicals and was informed by the tenant that chemicals were sprayed in the downstairs apartment. We got our dog out of there. Vrbo did a great job finding us another place to stay. Owner would not cooperate with Vrbo or us with any documents that said what he had sprayed the home for. Would not answer Vrbo or us as to the reason for this or the specific details about the pesticide. Went to the Town Hall to get help with the situation and was informed that the owner has 28 outstanding violations and DID NOT pass inspection on 6/3/24. He does not have a license to rent !!! The town was very helpful and gave me copies of the outstanding violations-The issues have not been corrected - this is a safety issue.

Amenities were not as advertised

I was very disappointed. Amenities listed were none existant. Management could not be contacted. And, the television was controlled by outside sources. It was finally turned on at 7pm and was automatically shut off at 7am, and check out was at 10. Never again!!!!!

Charming little place

We had a great stay at this charming second floor house. Television does not work. But other than that it was clean, had good parking space and was only a couple steps away from the beach.

Great location

Wonderful location, steps from the beach. And what a beach it is! We were there off season, but it is close to everything you need. Had issue that TV didn't work due to corroded batteries, and wifi didn't work due network being unstable.

beautiful beach location

Cute little place, perfect for a night away after college graduation. 2nd Bedroom was very cramped for adults, fine for kids. could use a few more touches but otherwise would recommend. Great that it had 2 parking spots

Long Weekend Away

The location was perfect so close to the beach! Place could use some more glassware and a grill to cook out. However, it was overall a very nice getaway! Group from New York

Poor communication between the host and Vrbo.

I was charged twice for this condo. Contacted vrbo and was told the host would contact me and refund my money. My partner and I are both disabled and were given the upstairs unit with very steep stairs. I just want my second charge refund.

Delightful time in Old Orchard Beach

Isaiah and his wife were just fantastic and so helpful with our stay. Really nice, down to earth people. The apartment is about 150 feet from the sand / beach which was so convenient. Relatively quiet neighborhood with friendly people around. Close to everything you need.

Perfect location, very comfortable place.

We felt so lucky to find this place! It is right on the beach, about half way between the town square and the pier/amusement park, but still within walking distance of both. Even during the most crowded time of the year, this area of the beach was lovely and spacious, with just a few families and surfers. Being so close, we didn't need to drag all our stuff down to enjoy it, and hunt for bathrooms or food. Simply ideal.

Great Stay

Right next to the beach and a 15 minute walk to the Pier. Isaiah was an EXTREEMLY attentive host: we got fresh attention every time we needed something.

Perfect location

Two nights - all was good. One more half bath would be ideal, but otherwise met our needs. Isaiah (owner) was very responsive! Very good experience.

Nice little beach getaway

We loved being so close to the beach and the added bonus of a few variety stores and grilled food at the corner really made our stay! The unit itself is "beach cottage" clean. The bedroom fans were nice to have but need cleaning. The unit is quaint with all the provided necessities for a nice short stay. Air conditioner is cold and water pressure was great. We enjoyed the small deck to sit out on however our view of the ocean was obstructed by overgrown bushes needing to be cut back. My only other suggestions would be to add a recycle receptacle. We didn't see one on the property so we had to throw all our plastics and cans in with our trash in the small barrel at the foot of the stairs and after 4 nights it was overflowing. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and hope to return next t year. Big thanks to our excellent Host Isaiah for being very responsive and friendly!

Location, Location, Location

Couldn't ask for a better location unless you were right on the beach. But you won't get beach front for this price. My only complaint is the small indoor shower. So probably would not stay for a whole week but was very happy with the place and the location and probably would go back up next year for a few days.

Life of a high maintenance beach bum

So close to the ocean you can hear and see it from the porch. I felt like a beach bum because we spent all our waking hours on the beach or in the ocean with such close location it was simple as walk out the door. I loved the property and the location. I can not explain the difference in my oob experience at this location vs staying “downtown” so much more peaceful but close enough to still have the fun.
