Cozy cottage style just steps from the beach

A cozy accommodation. Big enough for a small family that wants to spend days on the beach. Small enough for quick cleanup. My family and I enjoyed our stay.

Exploring Old Orchard Beach

A perfect stop for the beginning of our Maine vacation-the house was charming and so close to the beach. And within walking distance of good eateries - definitely recommend

Perfect beach location

The shower was a bit small, but overall the place was clean, spaces enough for the 3 of us plus the fur-baby. Excellent location. Walking distance from downtown Old Orchard area and so close the beach!

Adorable little apartment. Perfect location..steps away from the beach and walking distance to all the great restaurants and shops. Highly recommended The Shack and Joseph’s by the Sea.

Amazing

Super easy to communicate with owner, literally steps from the beach, place to sit with a picnic table and parking. It’s a summer place on the beach. If you’re expecting a pristine place you’re not going to love it. It was super clean, just some things could use some updating.

Great location. Basic accommodation

We had a lovely stay at this beach side house, just a minutes walk from the beach. The host is lovely and extremely responsive. The house itself is very basic, and a few small repairs are needed (including the blinds in one of the bedrooms). Overall, we had a lovely stay and the location is spectacular, but felt that the house itself was a bit pricey, given how basic it was.

Great location and attentive host

We were very happy with the location. Literally steps from the beach and a 10 minute walk to the Playland and the Pier. The host, Isiah always got back to me in minutes every time I messaged him with a question. The place was small, but fit all 5 of us. There was a bit of a strange smell in the place, but it was clean.

Too buggy

We had cockroaches in the kitchen. Our host was good about getting back to us but really did too little too late. He had promised a partial refund but I am home and don’t see it as yet. Secondly, the shower has rusty screws sticking out; needs some work.

What can i say

We struggled to figure out which apartment it was as they were not directed. The code was easy to get in but the place was dirty so filled with sand so full of sand that it looked like it wasnt swept. The shower was so small that none of the men could fit in them. There was trash already in the trash can. The ant traps were all over tthe place. The parking was not easy to get in and we couldnt fit in it with the two truchs that we had. Would we come back

My husband and I and our dog were supposed to stay at the property for 3 days/nights. When we stepped inside we were immediately greeted by bugs and dirt. The place looked as if it hadn’t been properly cleaned in quite some time. I messaged the host to let him know that we were not happy with the condition of the property and we were not staying. He offered nothing to me. This happened 2 weeks ago and I still haven’t received any of my money back. We have used Vrbo in the past and have been satisfied, however, this time we were truly disappointed.

Nightmare stay

Place was filthy when we arrived, had to stay in a different unit for the first night, had to keep reaching out to the owner to get the unit cleaned, then when we finally moved in, it was still not fully clean and cockroaches were running all over and coming out of the toaster. Owner recommended a different hotel to stay at that he puts his mother in law in, she doesn't even stay there. Owner said he would reimburse us because we had to find another place to stay. He was extremely dishonest and never reimbursed us what he promised. Would not recommend this place to anyone. He presents himself as very kind and concerned however was fully aware of the cockroach issue and continued to lie and later when trying to get money back cursed out my mother in law. Not a good business man.

bad value for money

We chose this apartment because it seems cozy and near the beach. The rate was expensive, but we could afford it for something clean and comfortable. After inspecting the beds, we saw bed bug traces on the bed frame and a dead one. We called the owner, who said he had never had bed bugs but cockroaches. It was real; a lot of cockroaches live here. After two days of discussion with the owner, an exterminator came, and a good cleaning was done to finish the week. The bed bug traces were from a past infection, and we slept better after. The bathroom is terrible; the “shack” shower is broken and with some rusted screws. Some doors are due to be changed. In the kitchen, all the kitchen equipment is suitable for trash, and the fridge is in bad shape. It is a tiny house; don't spend your money on this unit; you could get something near the beach that is way better for the same price.

OOB cute condo

Perfect size lil' cottage condo for a small group of 2-4 especially if planning on spending most of your time on the beach or up at the Orchard. It was just my teenage daughter & I so it was perfect amount of space for us to be able to chill & relax without feeling on top of each other. If you are a larger person, the shower may feel a bit claustrophobic but it gets the job done with plenty of hot water. Towels, toiletries, toilet paper, paper towels were supplied as were beach chairs/beach umbrellas for the beach. Beds were super comfy (brand new, felt like Temperpedics) as were the brand new couches with plenty of support for this aging mama's back lol...only thing I would recommend is bring a mat for your feet for on the inside of the door to help trap more sand coming off your feet from the beach. It's a good 1st world problem to have!😎 I didn't want to bring sand up on the couch or beds since brand new so I was freak about trying to keep our feet clean. Decent size fridge/freezer, we didn't cook but did use the microwave. The property manager was super friendly & helpful!

Great location next to the beach! Kitchen was small- with a family of five we try to do a majority of our own cooking. A smaller kitchen encouraged us to patronize local restaurants, but the refrigerator allowed me to cook in advance, and bring food and snacks for the family. Convenient store, located less than an eighth of a mile up the street, access to beach, chairs, boogie boards, and beach towels made going to the beach, more fun and less work. Great picnic beach area on lower unit deck/porch- our major concern was the air conditioning unit on the second floor above us, not being tethered to the house, and the potential risk for falling out the window onto somebody below- we moved the picnic bench to the right side of the porch for more safety. The window in the bedroom with two twin beds does not lock and looks as though it was a replacement window that measured too big for the opening. I would encourage putting a stick or some object in the window to prevent somebody being able to open it from the outside into the children's room. Dehumidifiers, AC, and fan worked well- and made the share quality comfortable. The pull out couch was great- but didn't allow for a movie night for parents if the kids were using the pull out (maybe put the/ a TV on the wall in the larger bedroom...). Overall- excellent for a beach getaway!

Great location!

Steps from the beach and delicious meals at Tammy Lynn’s restaurant. Close to town to either walk or drive. We had a wonderful time!

It was the perfect location. Everything was great. The shower head was the only issue just needs changed because it drips... I would definitely stay again and have referred to many friends
