Lovely ground floor garden one bedroom unit surrounded by lush greenery, birds and flowers galore. Alii Villas #106 is a short walk down to the ocean seawall. Private lanai area to enjoy sitting outside day or night. This unit comes well equipped with everything you need for a wonderful home away from home. This is a ground floor unit with no stairs.
Lush gardens, solar heated pool, BBQ and picnic area, oceanfront seating, ocean access for the expert swimmer and of course those famous Kona Sunsets. This is a non-smoking complex. Free WiFi and digital cable. NOTE there is no air conditioning in this unit.
All reservations are required to digitally sign a rental agreement between the person booking and and property manager to be confirmed.

Quaint property just right for two people who don’t mind walking. The living space and kitchen was well appointed but did lack a dishwasher. The bedroom sits towards the parking so can be louder when resting, also the carpet in bedroom feels gross under bare feet (I suspect from years of use). Be warned this unit does NOT have air conditioning. There are several fans but if you are heat sensitive you might want to keep looking. For us, the fans worked but it took time to adjust. We also called ahead for an early check in which was approved but when we arrived the unit wasn’t clean so we had to wait for 2 hours to gain access. So be prepared.

Pool was cold so that was a big negative as we really couldn’t use it Quite noisy from neighbours talking at night but probably unavoidable given proximity of the rooms Kettle and scissors missing but quickly supplied on request Apartment itself was ok

When we first showed up here, a combo of jetlag, tiredness and excitement, my first reaction was what a dump. Unfortunately, I was comparing it with my last trip to Hawaii with a fully renovated suite. The next morning though, we both woke up with grins on our face and ended up loving this place. So much so, that we can't wait to book again. It's a ground floor unit, so the temperatures were never uncomfortable (no air conditioning). We appreciated the size of the unit & it's ground floor patio. Everything we needed was present, including some snorkeling equipment and beach chairs. Great location for walking to town (approx. 1 mile). This unit is right in the middle of the complex, so it was quiet & handy to everything,,, including the pool & the ocean. Plenty of people from the complex gather at the ocean for sunsets. I'd say the only downside is there is no dishwasher (first world problem) and sometimes voices in the complex tend to carry. Most of the time we didn't notice the voices but sometimes, the inconsiderate ones would be sitting out on their balconies having really early morning or late night chitchats. Most of this just took an adjustment in perspective and we treated it like background noise. Keep in mind that info about checking in doesn't show up until about a week before arrival. We would have appreciated just a little more notice than this. Dawn was great at answering questions. She even made sure we had a coffee grinder...nice touch.
