Other than the dryer being inefficient, the place was great and the host was amazing. Loved the location and the amenities. Beach was perfect. Pool could use more lounge chairs. Will definitely stay here again and I highly recommend. I thought this was much better than other properties I’ve stayed at in this area.

The views are outstanding. The property is very well maintained. Duke's was excellent. We hated to leave.

Nice set up for a family vacation with kids. The unit is in the building over the lobby, fifth floor and back from the pools, which kept the evening noise down. Pools were a great success with the kids, and the beach was lovely.

Friendly service from the staff. Free valet parking. Close to the walking path near the beach. Great food at Duke’s. Close to snorkel and SUP rentals. Beach chairs in the closet were a nice bonus.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay and couldn't have been happier with our experience. The accommodations were beautiful, exceptionally clean, and offered stunning views that made every morning and evening special.Communication with Maui Resort Rentals was outstanding from start to finish. They were responsive, helpful, and made everything seamless, which allowed us to simply relax and enjoy our vacation.One of the things we appreciated most was the check-out process. It was so refreshing not to be handed a long list of chores before leaving. There was no expectation to strip beds, start laundry, or take out trash—they truly made check-out simple and stress-free. After a vacation, that level of hospitality is greatly appreciated.We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend Maui Resort Rentals to anyone looking for a beautiful, well-managed property with excellent customer service. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! Gorgeous view of the ocean and property! There's nothing like drinking coffee in the morning while watching the whales splashing in the distance! The condo was great! The only thing I could suggest would be digital clocks in the bedrooms and a wall clock in the main living area. Other than that, everything was perfect! Highly recommend Honua Kai Konea 529! Thanks!

Amazing Maui!!!

We have a wonderful time! The condo was absolutely perfect! The property was beautifully landscaped and the pool was great! Duke restaurant was exceptional!! We will be back!

What a great place to stay. Plenty of space for our family of five to spread out, cook a meal or relax in the living room to watch a movie. There is also a great patio overlooking the pool and ocean to watch the sunset.Location was perfect for beach access and things to walk around to. Dukes and the food trucks are a must. There is a grocery store across the street and some shopping as well.Everything from booking to check out was smooth and easy. We were there during the tsunami evacuation and the resort team was fantastic on keeping us up to date and prepared. We will definitely be back soon! Mahalo!

Loved the property. Two issues though. There are not enough lounge chairs in the pool area, and the policy of not holding chairs over an hour is not enforced. Also, just for us personally, the oven in our condo was not working properly.

Great Condo, limited parking.

Would consider staying here again; stay length 10 days. Pros: great location, beautiful views, everything was clean. Cons: the mattresses need to be replaced (very uncomfortable); While they say every unit includes a parking spot in the garage, you really only get a parking pass. There is not nearly enough garage parking for every unit. If you go to dinner and come back, don’t expect to find any parking. Overflow parking is at the adjacent Villas and fills up as well, expect to walk back to the condo building.. There was no broom or vacuum in the unit and, as you may expect, it is easy to bring back sand from the beach unintentionally. If lounging by the pool is important to you, plan on hawking a chair early or paying for a Cabana. There are several signs posted “no saving chairs” but by 8 a.m every chair has a towel on it and they are “occupied” until sunset. Parking and pool issues are probably worse during peak periods as building and the villas were not fully occupied during our late September stay.

If the underground parking garage is full, guests are welcome to park in any unmarked spot on the resort parkway, or in the self-park lot across from the Hokulani Tower. The Honua Kai intends to reinstate their valet services in the near future. We apologize your unit didn't have a broom & dust pan and we have addressed this shortage with our housekeeping team. We have vacuums in our warehouse and are happy to provide them upon request. Social distancing protocols dicated less pool chairs and with those protocols now lifted the chairs have been restored. Great place to stay.

Honua Kai is a great place to stay, lots of activities right at and around the resort. The pool area is great for kids. We enjoyed having the whole family stay together in one big condo. The condo was well appointed.

Family Vacation

We had a great time! The condo was lovely and comfortable, the resort pools were very crowded and we felt like we had to rent a cabana daily to have a spot at the pool. We have also been staying at this resort for the past 10 years and it’s tripled in rental price since opening.

Wonderful place for family fun, great property.

This was a family trip that included my family of 4, my father and my niece and nephew. We all loved it, rooms were perfect, beds comfortable, resort feel in your own condo.
