It would have been nice to have more toilet paper, paper towels, and trash bags provided given the size of house, and length of stay, but everything else was great.

Location is great, and a very quick walk to the beach. Accommodations are perfectly comfortable, although not luxurious. Communication and check in process were great. But, to be fair, “gulf view” is slightly misleading. All that said, we would definitely stay again. The price is great for such a convenient Grayton Beach location.

Our family of 5 plus my parents stayed here and it was perfect. Beach access is super close and it's very quiet. The beach wasn't as crowded as other places we stayed. We had a few small issues and property management was on them ASAP. We would definitely consider staying here again.

Will go back every year!

This place was perfect! So close to the beach and to town! My hubby and I brought our three teens and four of their friends, and everyone loved it! We hope to stay here every summer!

Beautiful stay at Grayton

Fantastic location and great house, perfect for our family and the carriage house was ideal for our friends that came with us. The walk to the beach was so easy, made coming in and out throughout the day a snap. Thank you!

It was a perfect place for a large adulting family to call home for a family wedding at Monet-Monet. Great shops around. Well appointed kitchen except would have expected basic salt and pepper to be in the cabinet. The availability of the bikes and beach chairs was a great surprise. The front porch of the main house was our favorite gathering spot... The carriage house apartment was fantastic too.

You should have gotten an email prior to your arrival that we supply a starter of bathroom and kitchen essentials and no beach towels so you should plan to bring your own or purchase them when you get here. We're glad this was a great place to stay and we hope you enjoyed some time on our beautiful beaches.

Wonderful family vaca

This home and guest house were perfect for our family. There were 5 adults and 2 young children. The bunks were fun for the kids and the guest house was appropriate for the single son. Thanks to the helpful and generous host that allowed us occupancy a bit early after a long day of travel. Highly recommended!

Perfect location

Overall this was the perfect location and house. RealJoy was easy to communicate with, we had some trouble on arrival getting in the door. However, RealJoy was quick to answer the phone and assist us with the issue.

Nice, but cut corners

The property is nice and is in great proximity to the beach and other attractions in the area. I wish they didn’t cut so many corners though. No extra toilet paper, paper towels, or even one single extra garbage bag?? For the amount we paid, I would expect a couple extra garbage bags at least. You’d be surprised at how much that kind of stuff means to people and would make them want to come back and/or tell others about renting it.

As mentioned in the rental agreement, housekeeping provides a limited amount (starters) of such items as paper towels, trash bags, toilet paper, and dish detergent. Great location

The location of this house is perfect. Only a couple of houses away from the beach. The setup is also great. There is a 1-bedroom apartment above the garage that is great for teens or just to separate families. The house can use some work (for example, the shower doors don't close properly nor do the kitchen cabinets and it is a little dated), but for a beach trip, it is exactly what we needed. The kitchen is also pretty limited (for example, there wasn't even salt and pepper). There is a fenced backyard which is great, but unfortunate because they don't allow dogs. The house comes with 6 bikes which was great. We were two families and there is no dining room table, so having dinner where everyone sits and chats wasn't possible. We also wanted to puzzle and because there wasn't a table, we had to use the bar area. Overall, besides a few quirks, the house met all of our needs.

The house is fine. The area is getting pretty bad.

We've been visiting this area for 20 years, and it used to be a peaceful getaway. Unfortunately, it's become more crowded and party-oriented. This house was decent, but there were a few minor drawbacks. The bunk beds had thick mattresses that were comfortable but made it difficult to move around -- so I almost wouldn’t count them as sleeping areas unless you sleep without moving. The bathrooms were small and lacked storage space, so we mostly lived out of our suitcases. The kitchen was well-stocked, although we missed having larger cooking sheets. There was a good selection of coffee makers. One thing that did surprise my group was that there was a path from at least one house facing the main road that led through the tiny path between the carriage house and the main house that those from the main street were using as a shortcut to the beach -- which meant that strangers would be walking past our windows/porches at all hours. The "private property" sign on the fence going the other way insinuated that we were prohibited from using the same path, but we ended up using it anyway (which saved a TON of time getting to the main entertainment area from this house). What issues we did experience with entry were handled quickly and kindly, so customer service was excellent. Overall, this rental is a good option, but potential renters should be aware of the small inconveniences.

Grayton Escape

Great location, once you discover the cut-through Red Bar and Chringo are an easy walk. Beach access is extremely easy. Bikes included is a nice touch. Worked will for our group of 8.

Nice location to the beach and nice space above garage.

Loved the location to the beach and overall property. The ongoing construction at the adjacent properties was unfortunate, but it will be nice when it’s complete.

Grayton escape

We have had a wonderful stay at Grayton escape. The unit was exceptionally clean and very convenient to the beach. There was plenty of room. The ocean is visible from the carriage house porch. We enjoyed riding the bikes provided.

Beautiful accomodations and fantastic location!

House is beautifully decorated with Joanna Gaines farmhouse/beach decor, very clean, kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. Back porch got sun in the morning and the front porch was wonderful for afternoon sun and relaxing. Beach is about a 4 minute walk, very close and the walk through to the Red Bar is on the other side of the first house towards the beach, about a 6 minute walk. The 4 Bikes were a plus and the additional beach chairs in the garage were appreciated. And there was more than enough parking for the amount of people and vehicles we had. Nothing bad to comment on. Definitely recommend staying here!!

Great Grayton Stay

It was our 40th anniversary. We usually have all our adult kids and grandkids. It was very restful for us. Just what we needed. But I can also imagine this house and carriage combo as perfect for our whole crew. Nice walk to the beach and nice walk to local restaurants…yet some what secluded. We will defiantly try to repeat this this rental.
