The Lake Cottage on Soda Bay-Pet Friendly, Private Deck, Dock & Kayaks

Relaxing and quiet lake front cottage on Clear Lake, located adjacent to the Soda Bay hot springs. The private deck, dock offers an excellent panoramic view which is perfect for bird watching and taking in the beautiful evening sunsets. It’s also a fisherman’s paradise. Don’t forget your pole. The area is also fantastic for kayaking and paddle boarding in your backyard. We have two kayaks available that we offer to our guests. Wine taste in the Red Hills Ava which is known for their Cabernet Sauvignon or hike at the Clearlake State Park.

Enjoyed our stay so much. Breathtaking views of the lake and an abundance of birds to enjoy. Will definitely book again in the future. Hosts were friendly and wecoming.

Such a relaxing weekend in this beautiful lake cottage! Everything was just as described and shown. We enjoyed fishing from the dock and sitting out on the deck every morning and evening! Communication was excellent, I highly recommend!!

Had a wonderful stay at the Lake Cottage for my 15 yr old son's fishing trip birthday. Nestled on a beautiful, picturesque area of the lake. Available kayaks were appreciated and enjoyed. Nice accommodations for 6 and golden retriever, the kids never left! Adults took a short ride to the park for hiking and Mercantile/Shannon Winery for tasting. Made for a great weekend.

We had a good stay , pet friendly and great view. A few problems that Scot and Nicole were quick to remedy. Comfortable beds and lots of space.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The outside of the property was what we expected. However, the inside was not what we expected. The bedding did not smell fresh, so we had to strip the beds and wash the linen before we slept in the beds. There were not enough pillow cases for the pillows. The chairs in the family area were filthy. The siding on the bathtub was falling off. The bathtub wasn’t clean. The shower in other bathroom was filthy. The guest closet was used as a storage room. No place to hang clothes. There were not enough towels. We had all large towels, no face towels. We had one hand towel for 4 guest. The kitchen was good. There were enough dishes, pots, pans, and dish towels.

We are very proud to have received 84 guest reviews and maintain a 9.8 cleanliness rating, and providing a clean and comfortable home has always been extremely important to us. That said, we take all guest feedback seriously and used your comments as an opportunity to make additional improvements. Since your stay, we have replaced the family-room chairs, repaired the bathtub panel, completely cleared the guest closet for guest use, and replaced all linens and towels throughout the home. We appreciate your feedback and will continue working hard to provide the experience our guests have come to expect and enjoy at our lake home.

Beautiful location and cottage. Even with all the rain, we enjoyed looking over the lake and saw multiple rainbows.The hosts had two bottles of wine waiting for us to enjoy when we checked in.

Loved the view and fenced in dock. It was comfortable and great for our dog to get to sit outside safely. If it was not raining, we would have sat outside every chance possible. But we enjoyed the view indoors too! We also loved how little light pollution there was so we cold enjoy the stars at night. Want a quiet and peaceful place to stay? This is the place for you!

Great place to stay on the lake! The view from the patio is beautiful & relaxing. The house itself is clean. The location of the house is perfect (one of the best spots on the lake in my opinion).

we love this cottage

Surprisingly tucked away near the shore- fun, clean place, which is a great getaway. It’s so pleasant with the amazing view of Clearlake and the Hills to the north.
This was around 9:30 last night. Just gorgeous.
we saw a lot of fish being caught right across from our little dock. There is a small warm spring island that must attract them.

Friends for over 50 years trip.

It’s was a great time hanging out with my friends. Location was beautiful and the dock/deck was were we spent most of our time.
