SPECTACULAR VACATION HOME OVER Tomales Bay -- Perfect for Family and Friends!
OUR BEACH COTTAGE 'Helen's Hideaway' is a wonderful setting for a family or friends vacation. This is a simple and well-maintained beach cottage, located right on Tomales Bay. Helen's is our family cottage that we enjoy sharing for you.
WE HAVE A NEW DOCK -- rebuilt and ready for fishing or just contemplating the beauty of the bay!
OUR FRONT GARDEN IS SURROUNDED BY A SECURE FENCE -- a lovely and private place to read the morning newspaper or surf the web. A gas grill invites you to barbecue local fish, fresh veggies from Point Reyes or a good local piece of meat.
OUR INTERNET ACCESS IS EXCELLENT AND OUR two Smart TVs and connection for your laptop (pc) can connect you to the outer world.
The center of this cottage is a large living room with floor to ceiling windows overlooking Tomales Bay. You can experience the Bay from anywhere on the first floor. It's a great place to watch wildlife while you have an intimate or family meal, read a novel in front of the fire, or just sit and relax.
The house has a master bedroom downstairs with an adjoining bathroom with shower. Upstairs has 2 bedroom, one with a queen size bed and one with twin beds. There is a bathroom on the second floor, with a tub and overhead shower.
The house is surrounded by a deck and has a dock that reaches out into the bay. It's a perfect place to watch the sunset, sip a glass of wine and just enjoy the bliss of beautiful Tomales Bay.
The house is walking distance to the Tony's Seafood Restaurant, The Marshall Store Restaurant, and Hog Island Oysters. Enjoy day trips to Point Reyes Seashore, the Russian River, local wineries, whale watching, etc. We are very well located to take advantage of all the West Marin has to offer!
If you are not up for driving around, it's a great place to sit in front of a roaring fire with friends and loved ones. If you like to fish, you can throw a line out from the deck or the pier. Digging clams under the house is another afternoon activity. Charcoal barbecue available to cook your catch! Bring briquettes.
This is not an overly elegant house, but a comfortable, family-friendly home situated in the midst of spectacular beauty. If you are looking for "hotel perfect" this is not the house for you. We welcome you to share our family space and to live in it as though it were your own home.

Great stay!!!
We loved the property and thoroughly enjoyed our visit! It was the perfect way to destress and have family time. The house was fully stocked and communication with property manager was easy. The location was great and we loved our relaxing weekend!

Nice stay in heart of Marshall
Great location near many of the great restaurants in Marshall, easy to travel to neighboring towns as well. Clean, amazing views, as pictured in property photos. Would definitely consider staying here again when visiting.

Location right over the water was spectacular and the view out of the windows couldn't have been better. Downstairs bed was pretty hard and the sticky kitchen cabinets put up a bit of a fight but nothing that took away greatly from our trip.

An unusual find, peaceful and surrounded by nature, we saw five otters in 2 days.
Sandy is quick to help with any details and the location, simplicity and private dock of this fishermans hideaway is unparalleled on Tomales Bay.

I am sitting here in Marshall at our dining room table, looking out onto Tomales Bay. You're right about the quiet, private space. It's a simple luxury to watch nature go by in front of you.
We just finished more upgrading -- new mattresses upstairs, new window coverings to enhance your privacy. We've addressed all the little things that happen naturally to a house on the water.
Thanks for appreciating Sandy, our house manager, who goes out of her way to help make our guests' stay a wonderful experience!
We look forward to welcoming you back to Helen's!

Awesome place
Had a marvelous time. A little cold in the morning, a fireplace insert would be nice but the deck the view the location all marvelous!

Great view, comfortable home
This is a great location on the bay, great wildlife viewing, fishing, crabbing, birding. Home is "nice rustic" with all you need to just relax & appreciate the view.

Great stay
We have stayed at various houses in the area and this is my favorite place. This is going to be our to-go place in Marshall from now on. We loved the huge deck, fireplace and just glancing out the floor to ceiling window to the beautiful water views. It's quiet, serene and just the place to relax and recharge.

Lovely Cottage on the Bay
Very cozy and comfortable house right in the heart of oyster/seafood heaven in Marshall! Great deck for outdoor living. Well equipped kitchen. Hosts are very responsive and helpful.

Wonderful Scene on Tomales Bay
Great house for couple and friends. Well-stocked
Host available and helpful. This is our third time in the Tomales/Bay/ Marshall area and it is a perfect getaway. We wanted to stay longer.

Loved it! So relaxing.
We loved our stay at this house. Cozy, rustic and not pretentious. The house is right on the bay and you can hear the water at night and spend the day on the deck. We walked up the road and got oysters to bbq. Great stay and the house had everything we needed.

Lovely house in point Reyes area
We had a wonderful stay at this VRBO. The aesthetics of this home are gorgeous. I felt very unplugged it was a welcome change.

Wonderful rental in amazing setting
The four of us celebrated a special occasion by renting this wonderful property on the water in Marshall. We enjoyed all the beautiful local scenery and fantastic variety of restaurant choices. We had a minor issue we needed help with and resolved it quickly with the property manager. Looking forward to staying here again

Leopard Shark slayers!!!!
We fished right off the dock and caught sharks and bat rays., crabs, perch fush and such. Amazing time.

This house was owned by our mother who bought it as a family getaway. All of our family has spent weekends and vacations here. We want to share it with you because it a place that means so much to us. We hope you and your loved ones enjoy it as much as we do.

This is one of the most pristine locations in the Bay Area. Though it is not far from San Francisco and the East Bay, you very quickly feel you are in 'the country', away from the fast pace of city life. Our mother bought this house as a family getaway and it certainly has been that for our family over these many years.

This is house is great for a weekend away with a friend or for a family vacation. Located right on Tomales Bay, you find yourself in one of the most pristine seaside locations in California. It's just a great place to escape the busy-ness of every day life and regroup! We are also walking distance to Hog Island Oyster Bar and the Marshall Store Oyster Bar. To the north you can go to Nick's for dinner. To the south, you find the Marshall Store for oysters, or Tony's (as soon as it is renovated!) then Point Reyes Station restaurants, Olema or Inverness are all close by.
