This cute, comfy cabin is secluded enough that you'll feel like you're away from it all, but super close to restaurants, shopping, hiking, and more (War Women Dell, Black Rock Mountain, Talullah Gorge, Lake Burton, and Lake Rabun are all a 30-minute drive or less).

There are 2 bedrooms (king and queen beds) each with its own bath, a deck with ample seating, a fully stocked kitchen, plus a fireplace, grill, and a garage/rec room with a pool table, cornhole, darts, and couches. We've got plenty of games and books, too.

Kick back and relax on the deck or head to town to enjoy great shopping and eating.

Wonderful! A little paradise in the mountains

Beautiful property, better than in pictures. Well appointed with everything you need. You can tell a lot of thought and care was put into furnishings, decorations, bathroom and kitchen necessities.Very roomy and cozy. My daughter and her friends loved the pool, board games and cute decorations that made you feel right at home.The last 1/2 mile to the property is quite steep and the entrance to the property sneaks up on you. You get used to it later on, just be alert and learn the surroundings.We had a wonderful time and would highly consider renting again in the warmer months to better enjoy the outdoor amenities.

Beautiful view

Loved the view, especially the cross on the mountain but outside was not clean at all so could not sit out on the porch and grill was totally unusable. Inside was neat and had what we needed for our stay.

Green Mountain Cabin

This cabin is in a great location & close to town. Beautiful view of the mountains from the porch. The kitchen is very well stocked. The beds are super comfortable. Very relaxing atmosphere & well appointed comfortable furniture. The restaurant in Clayton “Fortify” did not disappoint. Get reservations!

Wonderful Cabin in the Woods

Even lovelier than the photos depict. We had everything we could have wanted. Kitchen was well equipped and we cooked several meals with ease. Communication with host was excellent. Had fun exploring the area, along with wonderful restaurants and great shopping. Highly recommend.

Very clean. Easy check in and check out. Amazing view from porch.

We get together every year, 2 brothers and wives. We love to play cards and just unwind and relax. We love downtown Clayton. Lots to do. Eating was amazing. Rusty Bike was our favorite.

Nice Retreat

This is a nice cabin which is very convenient to Clayton, with a well-furnished kitchen. The covered porch has a fine view of Blackrock Mountain and was probably our favorite part of the cabin where we ate almost all of our meals. The owner communicated well and was easy to work with. We would certainly consider staying there again.

Perfect stay!

Do not look any further, this cabin is the perfect place to explore lovely Clayton and the beautiful (green) surroundings. After hiking, shopping around and visiting the best places for a coffee, it was so nice to come back to the cabin, relax on the deck and enjoy the views! The cabin provides everything you can think of and Jenn is a perfect host. Love to come back!

Best stocked cabin ever!!!

This cabin is amazing. Good view of the mountains. One of my favorite things was the binder of things to do nearby and places to eat. We loved sitting on the deck especially the couch! Darts and pool were a favorite of ours too as we are competitive and love playing games. The internet was out when we got there but this was resolved quickly and it stayed on the rest of our time.

Great Property/Great Location

The property is conveniently located a very short distance from downtown Clayton. There are plenty of dining choices to choose from, representing multi-cultural cuisines. If you prefer to prepare your own meals, the kitchen has a large array of cookware and utensils to accomplish the task. We enjoyed relaxing on the porch, listening to the birds and the scenic mountain view.

Perfection

Everything we needed! Absolutely loved everything about this cabin! The cozy couch on the porch was my favorite! The game room in the basement was a fun bonus. Perfect distance from town to feel like you’re in the mountains, but just a hop, skip, and a jump from town!

This place is perfect. Comfy, clean and convenient. Lot's to do in the area and also a great place to do nothing! Hope to go back! Note: If you struggle with stairs this might not be the best place for you. But the view is sweet!!

Time Away

Perfect in every way

The check in was super easy, no fuss. The size of the home was perfect for us and the location was perfect as well. We were close to town yet in the woods on the hillside. The view was beautiful and there were plenty of places on the deck to enjoy the view. It had that secluded feeling even though there were neighbors. We cooked all of our meals at home - the kitchen had everything we needed to prepare our meals. We had a fire every night we were there. It was a nice touch to have the wood already there for us and a container to clean out the ashes the next day. The furniture and decor was comfortable and nice. The basement had all kinds of things we could do, especially while it was raining and we couldn't be out hiking. Jen was very attentive when I did need to reach out to her. The home had the feel of staying at a friend's house. They really make the home inviting and I could tell they go that extra to make sure people enjoy their stay. We are even planning on bringing our girls up to stay sometime in the future so they can experience it as well.

Not long enough

Our family of 4 stayed here for 3 nights and we absolutely loved it! The house is accurately described and looks even better in person. It was easy to navigate to and only a couple of minutes from town. The house had everything you could need and more. The only problem is that our stay just wasn't long enough! We definitely would love to stay here again the next time we come to Clayton.

Robb and Jen have been married for 10 years and have 3 kids ages 17 to 21. Robb is a VP of Sales in the data and construction world; Jen is a freelance writer/editor. We live full time in Atlanta but have dreamed about owning a mountain getaway for years. COVID and the unavoidable certainty of soon being empty nesters spurred our search until we found the perfect cabin in Clayton.

We fell in love with this property when we saw it. It was cozy, comfy, and just the perfect size. We love the stone fireplace, the pitched wood ceiling, and the beautiful sunsets from the deck. We love that we’re so close to town and all its amenities (hello Ingles and coffee shops!) while still feeling like we’re away from it all. We like how many great hiking trails and activities that we can get to within a 30-minute drive, but we also love just being able to sit on the deck, enjoy the view, and watch the hummingbirds.
