Dog Friendly Cottage with Ocean Beach Charm

Beach Bungalow - Steps to Beach!

Welcome to our beautifully appointed beach cottage! We have tastefully remodeled and refurbished the entire cottage last year so everything is new and clean. The cottage boasts a one bedroom, one bathroom layout and is comfortability sized for up to four guests. The kitchen offers all new appliances and is stocked with enough cooking utensils to please any chief. The 100Mb WiFi should satisfy any streaming, gaming or business needs and the wall mounted 65" Sony TV can be viewed from the private outside patio when BBQing or relaxing. Air conditioning (split unit heat pump) provides comfort in the summer and the living room sofa folds out to a queen bed with bedding located in the closet.

Being conveniently located 1 1/2 blocks to Dog Beach and 5 blocks to all local shopping, restaurants and entertainment, it's easy to get around town by either walking or biking. We keep two beach bicycles at the house for your use.

Because San Diego offers premier tourist destinations, the cottage is a great launching point to explore and enjoy everything the city has to offer! For us, UBER/Lift is the easiest way to get around. Be it Balboa Park, Padres baseball, Sea World, Convention Center or The Gas Lamp District, UBER/Lift is safe, easy and inexpensive.

Fabulous cottage

The cottage was absolutely beautiful, it had everything that I could have hoped for and more. I have a dog which made this cottage an absolute gem! It is 2 blocks from Dog Beach, where we spent the majority of our time. It is also centrally located for all the restaurants and shops. I can’t wait to return and highly recommend!

Great bungalow in OB!

I love Ocean Beach and this place was just perfect for hubby, our little dog, and me. Just a couple of blocks to the beach and dog beach. The weekend we were there was Day of the Dog (AND Oktoberfest, and volleyball tourney, and surfing competition). It's such a walkable, dog-friendly neighborhood. Great restaurants nearby. Everyone is super friendly. The unit had a comfy bed and everything we needed for a fabulous long weekend!

Just Perfect!

Thank you Chris and family! This bungalow was perfect for our stay. From all of the amenities of home to the central location in the OB bubble. We especially enjoyed cruising the area on the beach cruisers provided. We slept soundly on the more than comfortable bed. We hope to return soon with our daughter and pup.

Great place, fantastic location, wonderful host

The property was just as described. Ocean beach is a laid back area of san diego. Plenty of room and everything was clean. There was a nice little gift basket of bathroom supplies(toothbrush, soaps, shampoos, etc) in case you forgot anything. The location was fantastic. Couple of blocks from dog beach(which is exactly like it sounds.) 5-10 minute walk to all restaurants and shops. **do not miss going to ob noodle. Fried rice and garlic wings were the best meal we had during our stay. Last but certainly not least, linda is an amazing host. Quick to respond, extremely nice and welcoming and will do whatever to make your stay great. I would definitely recommend and would stay here again.

Cozy, comfy, clean & BEAUTIFUL.

We absolutely loved our stay! The house is even more beautiful in person. It was so clean and cozy and had everything we needed and more. The beach cruisers were a ton of fun and being able to walk right to the beach in just a matter of about 7 minutes was wonderful! We wish we could have stayed longer, but will definitely book again. Great Place ..Close to Everything ....Wonderful Home !!

The Property was wonderful..All the best ammentities.. Chris was great location was wonderful and OB is the place to stay in San Diego. Only disclaimer that needs to be addressed is there is only one entrance to both apartments and thankfully we had great Neighbors but if your bringing your dogs realize that if some dogs don't get along the neighbor in back has to walk thru your patio to get to there apartment so if they walk in with out notice some pups get startled so again we text when someone needed to leave to make sure the coast was clear. Beside That the place is perfect..!!

Perfect Beach Bungalow !

Chris and Lisa's place was PERFECT! The place was impeccable, remodeled and perfectly decorated. The amenities were great, ranging from kitchen appliances and supplies, nice huge smart TV, bicycles, comfortable shower, amazing location, I mean we will definitely will be staying here again when we want a little get away by the beach. Chris was extremely responsive and helpful with any questions we had. He was an excellent host. Felicia, who lives in the back unit, was also a joy to have as a neighbor. This is by fair the best rental we have stayed in and we have stayed at plenty! We rate this stay a 20 out of 10 :)

What a Joy can’t wait to go BACK

Exactly as depicted and clean. Great communication. It was well-stocked and very convenient for walking to the dog beach and visiting family. Walked to Sunset Cliffs and local restaurants. We enjoyed the patio for barbecuing. We didn't use them, but it's nice they offer leisure bikes and chairs for use.

We are Chris and Tina and we spend most of our time enjoying the Arizona desert, RVing, or traveling in Mexico. We travel extensively and frequently use VRBO/Airbnb so we know what is expected from a vacation rental.

We bought this property years ago as a rental and decided last year to completely renovate it and use it as our "get-away" place. We fixed it up the way we like it so it has pretty much everything needed to make life comfortable for us. We think it will be comfortable for you too.

Qué distingue a esta propiedad

OB is unique as it is a small town which makes it VERY easy to get around on bicycles or walking. Typically we park the car and won't move it for a week. The locals call it the "OB Bubble" as they rarely leave town for any of their shopping or entertainment needs.
One thing you don't want to miss is the Farmers Market on Wednesdays.....It's a throwback to the 60's with fresh local produce and creative food stands.
