Excellent stay. This home is awesome and so is the host I would say definitely have access to the pool and the other Lake they use areas figured out early in your stay. They were nice to use.

One of the best VRBO we have stayed at as a family in the last ten years. The minute we walked in, we felt we were home. Fit all our needs as a family of 12 from ages 2 to 72 ! We enjoyed swimming, fishing, kayaking, fires, and just simply loved walking the area. I’m a housekeeper and this place was so clean. Can’t thank Todd enough for sharing his home with us. Look forward to enjoying this cottage for many years to come!

This was our second stay at this beautiful log home. The pictures do not due this amazing home justice. Everything was built with extreme detail. The secret room is always a big hit with the grandkids. Fishing was very successful. Clubhouse pool, slide and lazy river is a bonus. Kitchen is very well appointed. Beds are all very comfortable. Having 3 full bathrooms is wonderful. The 4 kayaks were used often in Pencil Lake, which is just down a very short path from the home. Firepit is placed so you can view the lake while making smores. You will love this home!

Easy check-in/check out process. Owner communicated often and made sure we had everything we need. The home was very clean and welcoming. We enjoyed the wildlife, kayaking, swimming, and fire pit. It was a lovely week wirh family and we would love to stay again.

We had an amazing stay at Todd's place from July 19–26 with my wife and our adult kids. The home is on a quiet lake and peaceful street, making it the perfect place to relax after a day of exploring. It was spotless, check-in was seamless, and Todd was an excellent communicator throughout our stay.The location was ideal for all the activities we had planned on both the northern and southern parts of the peninsula, but honestly, some of our favorite moments were simply spending time at the cabin and enjoying the lake.Todd went above and beyond by allowing us to shift our stay by a day so we could avoid the Canadian wildfire smoke while it cleared. That flexibility made a big difference and was greatly appreciated.One of the biggest surprises was that the property was even better than advertised. The photos don't do it justice—it feels much larger in person, and the unique décor and cozy cabin atmosphere are something you really have to experience firsthand.We loved every part of our trip, and Todd was a fantastic host. We'd absolutely stay here again and highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway.

Great cabin, very clean. Close to Gaylord. Plenty to do, or to just relax. Will definitely book here next year.

My six siblings and I stayed in the cabin and had plenty of room to relax and play games. The lake view and location was perfect.

Fantastic

We had such a great stay - our family loved it! The home was beautiful and wonderfully accommodating. The lake was gorgeous. The homeowners were super! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a perfect getaway!

Perfect place

The home is incredible with beautiful views of the lake. Kayaking on the lake while the loons were calling is an experience we will not forget.

The loons are a real asset to the crystal clear lake . You can even identify the fish as they swim by.

This was an incredible property. The host was very accomodating. Prompt and easy to communicate with. The place was ultra clean and had every amenity needed to feel "at home" in. Beds and pillows VERY comfortable and cozy. The location is quiet and secluded but in a community with other homes so didn't feel isolated. View is breath taking out back windows overlooking the snowy landscape and lake. Easy access to snowmobile trail #4. We absolutely loved it.

Conveniently located

We visited Traverse City and Petoskey. Had lunch in Gaylord. Wonderful food! The week was relaxing for us - which was our goal. We even made it to the pool one day!

Peaceful cabin on lake

Exquisitely designed cabin. Great view of lake in natural setting. Everything was better than shown and described. Kayaks and swim pad Bring your own bicycle if you want to do that Canoes, row boats, and stand up paddle boatds available for tent across the lake

Great getaway

The house was amazing, very roomy and clean. My sister-in-law from Texas was impressed with the whole area and she took so many pictures so show family in Texas. My grandchildren got a good lesson on what to do when you do not have cable tv or internet...that was worth the trip by itself !!! we all had a wonderful time and would highly recomend this for family get aways.

Cabin in the Woods

met with a group of friends to spend a week in northern Michigan. We found the best place here at this great cabin in the woods. Beautifully crafted, great kitchen, beds were unique bedframes and lots of room. The lake was very peaceful and the path to the lake was easy. one day we had wild turkeys down by the lake! Todd was an amazing host.

Family Getaway

More than expected. House, location and amenities are incredible. Family included a 4 and 5 year old. They each caught a bass! Spent hours in and on the water. Great place for a family vacation and will definitely consider a return visit. Host was extremely responsive and had the house set up special for the boys. Everything we could have possibly wanted plus more. If you are thinking about staying here, do it!
