Awesome place

Our visit to Steve place was fantastic, everything we needed. We rode the bikes around which was great fun. Also went fishing around the area. Would 100% would rent again. Thank you for hosting me and my family Lara

Just as advertised

Very nice stilt home. Outside stairs to enter. We found the home just as advertised. Has a great view of the canal and dock and close to everything Hernando has to offer. We would definitely stay there again.

Winter getaway March 2024

Great location on the canal, quiet and peaceful. House is nicely remodeled & well stocked with everything you might need. We enjoyed eating at the places nearby including the Lazy Lizard & Silver Dolphin. Would definitely recommend!

Canal side cottage

The house was exactly as described and was very comfortable for our 3 week stay. I was a bit surprised that Hernando Beach has no beach but that's on me for not doing my homework. Even so, the house was a great base for our activities including kayaking, hiking in the preserve and side trips to the beach. The owner was super easy to deal with and so responsive to our questions and concerns. There are several waterside restaurants within walking distance with movies and shopping just a short drive away.

Everything was as listed. Only negative was the condition of the bikes. Could have used blinds on other two canal side windows. We enjoyed and thanks!! We had no need to contact property manager!

Lack of maintenance doesn’t outweigh location!

During my wife’s 18 day stay: •The water was shut off for lack of payment! •The house Air Conditioning stopped working!! My wife had to cancel Sunday plans to be available when the repair man came the following day. The AC guy said he makes many visits a year to the house and the owner refuses all long-term fix suggestions. •Directv displayed the message that the service would be shut off if payment wasn't made within 5 days. Other minor things that distracted from the location: •No light upon arrival requiring my wife to use here cell phone light to climb the outside stairs and gain entry to the house. •Shower hot/cold control is reversed. This means the hotter your shower the lower the pressure due to the reversal. The local property manager said the owner knows this is an issue. •No house description folder – only flyers for local restaurants. It took two days to figure out the place had Directv because that remote was somewhere else in the house, not with the TV Remote. My wife was extremely patient because she didn’t want to interrupt her vacation and find another place to stay. There was also the “no refund” policy that turned out to be more important to the owner than anything else. We contacted VRBO after the stay and they said they would talk to owner and see if they could get us a day’s refund for inconvenience, the owner said no and said he didn’t understand where the problem was, he quickly responded to all the issues. Vacationer beware the risks!

Great place to do nothing!!

Stayed here for the month of February, 2023. First experience doing anything like this and found the accommodations to be wonderful. The owner was very responsive to any contacts that I made with him. Very convenient to anything you might wish to do. Thanks for sharing, Steve.

Great location

Our family had a great time staying in Hernando Beach at this home. Mornings and Evenings on the canal we’re very peaceful. Great access to local things to see / do / eat.

Honeymoon stay and loved it

This was our honeymoon stay and we loved it. The house is remodeled and looks even better in person. Easy ride to the gulf on the boat. We will certainly be staying here again in the future.

Excellent location

This property is perfect for two couples. There is direct access to the gulf and a solid dock to which you can tie up your boat.

Great Place to Stay

My wife and I enjoyed staying here. Spacious open floor plan, with a nice kitchen. Great location for kayak fishing. Owner (Steve) was very helpful with any questions we had about the place. We would rent again.

The perfect vacation spot

My boyfriend and I were attending a friend's wedding and decided to stay in the area to vacation before heading back home. I looking at available properties in the area, and this location caught my eye. I'm SO glad it did, because we both feel in love. The inside of the house is very modern and has a sea theme throughout. The view of the gulf being just outside was absolutely stunning. Every morning we had a cup of coffee outside on the backyard patio. We also enjoyed a night of stargazing. There were opportunities to kayak, bike, or even snorkle thanks to the amenities provided. My boyfriend and I didn't want to leave. The property manager was super friendly and easy to get ahold of which we really appreciated. We would love to come back!!

Lovely home

The house was well furnished, and there was everything we could have hoped for in the kitchen and bath. The bedrooms were comfortable and well supplied. I talked to the owner a couple times and he was immediate and kind. Couldn’t be more pleased.

With family living already living in Hernando Beach, this was a no brainer!!! Peaceful fishing village right off of Gulf of Mexico on a deep water canal with direct access! I highly recommend it!

An epic and triumphant stay in Hernando Beach

My husband and I have experienced many pleasant stays at countless short-stay homes over the years. None has been as enjoyable as this lovely home in a truly delightful town. We hiked and biked in the Weekiwachee preserve, swam near-daily in the deep channel waters, biked and kayaked using the equipment provided, enjoyed the live music and food at several restaurants within walking distance and played pickleball at Delta Woods Park, a 15 minute drive. The neighbors are so very friendly and helpful and the hosts are exceptionally responsive.
