Enjoy the water views from the screen porch or sit in the Adirondack chairs out on the dock (where you can also tie your boat). Paddle the crystal clear Weeki Wachee river in one of the 4 kayaks (one tandem, three singles) or canoe or paddle board - just a 5 minute paddle from the house. Swim off the dock in the canal or in the main river. We have a water mat you can lounge on off the dock. Excellent manatee, turtle, large water bird, and flying mullet viewing from the house. Large, open concept living room/dining area, well appointed kitchen, updated master bathroom. Fire pit overlooking water. Bike the quiet Weeki Wachee Gardens neighborhood on the 2 bikes provided. Great restaurants and breweries nearby. 10 minute drive to see the mermaids at Weeki Wachee Springs State Park and Buccaneer Bay Water Park. Easy day trip to Homosassa Springs State Park and Crystal River, or head south to Tampa/St. Petersburg. Or - never leave the tranquility of the house and our quiet canal!

Just what we needed

This house had everything we needed! We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 nights here. We rode the bikes one day. Went kayaking from the dock and were lucky enough to see manatees. The beds are comfy and the kitchen is well-furnished. And the neighborhood is quiet except for the constant sound of birds!! :-) Thank you!

perfect stay on the river

Wonderful Stay!

We had a wonderful stay in this comfy, well stocked home. We enjoyed the kayaks and bikes. Easy to bike around all the neighborhoods. Loved sitting in the morning on the screened in porch watching the mullet jump and in the afternoons watching the wood storks. The host quickly answered any questions I had. You can tell this is a well loved and cared for home. Wish we could have stayed a little longer.

Fantastic Home on the Weeki Wachee River

We had an amazing time staying here! Was the best location, short paddle down the canal to the main river, with plenty of exciting wildlife! Beautiful clean home!

Family vacation

Much needed vacation for newly retired dad, 2x cancer survivor mom and autistic son. Weather was great. Loved sitting in the screened-in porch every morning for breakfast while watching fish jump across the canal. Enjoyed taking out the kayaks for trips up and down the canals and on the river. Short paddle to Hospital Hole, Rogers Park and docking at the Upper Deck for lunch or dinner. Equal distance to two larger towns for the big-box shopping and dining but plenty of local eating establishments. About an hour to Tampa or St. Pete/Clearwater areas. Great trip and can't wait to plan next year!

Amazing!

Everything about our stay was amazing. The house was spotless and had everything you might need. The hosts were fantastic! The house is a very short paddle to the main river and the kayaks and paddle boards were great quality. If you’re thinking about booking this house, DO IT! You won’t regret it.

Fantastic

My family and I had an amazing stay at this great location a close paddle from the spring. From being able to dock the kayaks from the back yard, playing on water mat or just chilling on the dock watching manatees and dolphins come by, I highly recommend this vacation home! 5 stars!

Amazing!

Love, love, love this place. The property was perfect for our family summer vacation and exactly what we were looking for and more. Tucked away and quiet yet could get to main river in 5-10 minutes. Had a variety of kayaks, canoes and SUP boards which was perfect for the diversity of our group. Located just close enough to the intercostal that we got early morning visits from dolphins and manatees which was breathtaking. The inside and outside was updated, super clean and comfortable sleeping. We will be back again next year for sure.

Beautiful place

This home was beyond beautiful! We had a great time. We went kayaking, fishing and went swimming in the river! It has everything you need to cook and grill! This is the spot for a great experience!!!

Weeki Wachee

Property was exactly as pictured. There was plenty of space inside and the property was very clean. The property was very nicely stocked with items needed to cook, very nice soft, fluffy bath towels. We spent very little time inside. We enjoyed the dock where we saw multiple Manatee's each day. We fished, swam, kayaked and paddled boarded. We loved having a grill available and ended up grilling our meals and hanging out on the lower patio. It rained one evening and the lower patio was the perfect place to conversate and watch it rain. The upper screened patio was a perfect spot late in the evening and a great place for a nap. We hope to visit again!

Relax and recharge

This is a beautiful and comfortable place to stay! Perfect placement on the river to see manatees, the spring up river and go to upper deck for lunch! The storage room was great and supplied everything you needed to go on the river for the entire day! I can’t wait to book this place again!

Great Getaway

Seamless check in and check out. Owner of the property was very kind and quick to respond. Everything you needed is there. Such a great location and super fun to use the kayaks for a day on the canals! Can't wait to return!

Great getaway

The house is amazing! Lots of water stuff to use, dock was great, perfect screened in mermaid lounge! The master bathroom is perfectly upgraded and we loved trying the sleep number bed! Hosts were very responsive - would definitely return and highly recommend!

Absolutely Amazing!!

Wow, is the word I think of to describe our stay. The house was perfect and had everything we needed for a perfect stay. The beds were so comfy and the main bedroom had a sleep number.., great surprise!! The view was beauty of the canal. My favorite part were the kayaks and paddle board. It’s only a 5 minute paddle to the crystal clear water of the river. We saw manatees and a dolphin. It was fun to stop along the river for a swim. There was even a body serving ice cream. We got yo swim with baby pigs!! We will definitely be back!!

Comfy, well-appointed river house

We loved our stay here. Everything in the house was so thoughtfully labeled, supplied or available we truly wanted for nothing. I loved how efficiently everything in the house worked from the hot water as soon as you turn on the tap to the coffee maker. One of the reasons I choose this house over the others was the fact that they had a canoe amongst the available options with the house. I don’t like kayaking and for long days on the river this canoe was amazing. Where most hosts don’t bother much with good extra equipment like kayaks and life vests these guys went above and beyond. The canoe was probably the best I’ve used in a rental.

Great location, great house, great amenities.

There were lots of wonderful things about our stay! Location, mainly, but lots of amenities,clean house,the kayaks,canoe,SUP and lily pad made it a huge success. We saw manatees almost every time we went paddling! The house is even privacy fenced all the way to the water, so it is very private...EXCEPT for the cameras and the Ring system. If you stay here, you need to know that there is a camera on the outside downstairs pointing at the main outdoor recreation area on the water. I understand it is to protect the owners property, but I feel like I was surveilled on vacation. The other outside cameras didn't bother us, but you may want to reconsider if you value your privacy. Also, I burned the bacon in the oven one day and nearly had a mental breakdown from the RING fire alarm. There was also a smoke detector in the house, which was the regular kind and manageable. The RING alarm was ear piercing and would not quit going off even after unplugging it because it has batteries. The fire dept called, and came anyway even though we told them what happened. The sheriff called the owner, the owner called me, and it was really just a HUGE fiasco over burnt bacon and a little-not a lot-of smoke. Also, listing should state washcloths not included. We had three washcloths. There were four of us for a week. Says Linens/Towels provided, and towels and beach towels were provided, nice ones. BUT, we each use a clean one every day! I had to buy them. It was a very nice vacation all in all!!

Paradise

Super clean, adorable and had everything that we could wish for our river trip. We saw manatees each day and grilled and relaxed on the spacious decks each night. Perfection!

We live in Virginia and balance our time between kids and work, trying to get to Weeki Wachee, Florida as frequently as possible. We love the outdoors and still can't believe the beauty of the Weeki Wachee river with its crystal clear waters and amazing wildlife. The swimming can't be beat and the manatees are truly magnificent! Our long term plan is to make Weeki Wachee our permanent home. Until then, we are happy that we can give others the opportunity to enjoy the beauty of this part of the United States.

We fell in love with Weeki Wachee, Florida in 2015 and have been coming back frequently ever since. We love the manatees and other wildlife in the neighborhood, paddling on the river, visiting the mermaids, and enjoying the great restaurants and breweries nearby. The neighborhood is quiet and the neighbors are friendly, great for morning runs, bike rides and evening walks. It is a true escape and relaxing holiday!
