Perfect place for a Cedar Point trip!We had a great stay and really enjoyed our time here! The location was perfect for our Cedar Point trip — being just a few minutes from the park made everything so easy. We also loved the beautiful views, especially watching the sunset in the evenings.The house had everything we needed and was a really comfortable place to come back to after a long day at the park. Lindsay was a wonderful host — very friendly, helpful, and easy to communicate with throughout our stay.We had a great experience and would definitely recommend staying here, especially if you’re planning a trip to Cedar Point!

Great property with beautiful views!

We loved our stay at Cedar Willow! The property was very clean, location was perfect and it was all that we could ask for. I can't imagine a nicer place to stay and the experience was great! Highly recommended!

Great property and excellent location!

This house was perfect for our family and in a great location on the bay/lake. Lindsay (owner) was extremely helpful from the time of booking all the way through our stay and was easily available at any time. With family in the area, we will certainly look to stay here again!!

Close to a lot of things!

My family and I stayed in this property as my son had a baseball tournament which the field is about 5 minutes away, very convenient! You are also about 5 minutes from Cedar Point Amusement Park! Would recommend this property for families!

We had a fun family vacation at this home. The host was responsive and easy to communicate with before and during our stay. The home itself is very nice, well maintained, and comfortably accommodated our group of 7 adults and 6 grandchildren. The kitchen is well equipped with high-end appliances, and we appreciated the high-end outdoor grill on the ground level. We cooked all of our meals at the house and had everything we needed. The beds were also very comfortable, and the layout worked perfectly for our large family.The only drawback for us was the backyard. While the host does send a message in advance explaining that geese frequent the property, we weren't prepared for the extent of the issue. There were a significant number of geese and a large amount of goose droppings throughout the yard, making the outdoor space essentially unusable during our stay. Unfortunately, we weren't able to use the backyard as much as we would have liked because there were goose droppings everywhere.Overall, we had a great vacation and appreciated the quality of the home and the excellent communication from the host. However, because we enjoy spending summer time outdoors with our family, we would likely choose a different property in the future.

Family get together at Cedar Point

Wonderful property, gorgeous location (views of both the Lake and lagoon), very easy access to amusement park and beach. Lovely screened in porch and outdoor firepit were great for gathering together.

If I could give this house 6 stars I would! We had 5 adults and four teens. The house was perfect for our family. It was super clean, comfortable, very well stocked and in the perfect location. The grill set up in the screened in porch was top notch! It had everything we needed and more. Owner was easy to communicate with and super friendly. If I could change one thing about our trip, it would have been to add more days! Thanks for a great experience!

Family vacation

Large property with lots of space outside and in. Clean and well kept. Great location with easy access to Cedar Point and easy drives to Sandusky/Port Clinton and Cleveland. Only issue was there was/is a roof leak which is right over stairs so rains made stairs wet which could very easily be a safety issue

Thank you for the kind words! We are so glad you enjoyed your stay! We have had issues with the roof leaking sporadically and brought in multiple contractors to try and fix it. We think it’s fixed and then have the waiting game to when a storm comes in and the way the wind is blowing to see if the problem is fixed or not. Unfortunately some bad weather came through while you were here and clearly figured out what the last contractor did, once again did not work. The next option is closing off the chimney and fireplace completely and we tried hard to not have to do that but the problem is clearly not getting fixed so that is what we plan to do now. Hopefully that solves the problem permanently. I apologize for the inconvenience. I know you were so understanding and wiped things up so no one got hurt so thank you! We will be getting that fixed immediately.

Relaxing and Peaceful

We loved staying at Cedar Willow. The house is clean and beautiful, and the views of the lake are magical. We were originally staying at a hotel with four teens, but my husband and I wanted a quiet getaway. The teens chose to stay at the hotel in order to get early access to Cedar Point. We booked last minute, and the owner was patient, helpful, and extremely nice. If we come back with the kids, we will definitely choose Cedar willow.

Loved the openness of the upstairs for family to gather for eating and games.

Easy access to shopping , beaches and of course Cedar Point. Lots of refrigerator and freezer space, pots and pans, dishes. We were at max with 14. Used upstairs porch quite a bit. We were disappointed at not b ing able to use jet skis because of seaweed and not having a beach for swimming access.. Overall great time and great experience We would definitely go back! Thank you Lindsay for your immediate responses to questions. We enjoyed working with you!!

Great Location and Views, But Disappointed by Serious Issues and Host’s Follow-Through

Nice lake front home in Sandusky perfectly located between Cedar Point and Sports Force Park for our youth baseball event. It offered great views and plenty of space for our group of 10.Unfortunately, our stay was disrupted by a gas leak in the main kitchen stove, forcing us to evacuate at 10PM for over two hours on day 1. While the host took responsibility and repairs began quickly, the issue took four days to resolve, and utility workers were in the home for a total of 8 hours during our trip.The home also needed a deep cleaning — cabinets, couch cushions, and outdoor furniture were dirty or covered in cobwebs, making it hard to enjoy the beautiful outdoor setting. While we initially appreciated the host's responsiveness, ultimately, we were left disappointed. The host made oral and written promises to “make it right” and offer a refund, especially since we followed all house rules and left the home in good condition. However, after our stay, she said any refund would depend on us leaving a 5-star review and omitting mention of the gas leak. We found this unprofessional and lacking in integrity.We generally don't leave reviews but felt compelled due to the safety issue and how it was subsequently handled. It's been over two weeks since our return and we’ve received no compensation for the inconveniences we experienced. In short, the home has potential, but cleanliness issues, a serious safety concern, and unprofessional follow-through made our stay disappointing.

I won’t waste everyone’s time with a novel I could write about these guests. To make it short, they needed a discount upon booking to get within their budget. Ref flag! So they came in with any intention to get a refund. An unexpected gas leak did occur, however I was more concerned of their safety than anything. They were just more concerned of getting money back over their safety. I apologized up and down and told them from that moment that I would make it right but I was hounded on a daily with how much I was refunding them etc. They spent majority of their trip contacting me and worried about that versus enjoying their time. Which they said everything was perfect other than the unexpected gas leak. So to come in after the fact and complain of cleanliness and any other crap they stated is just any way to sabotage my future potential bookings. We just had a brand new stove installed in May and unfortunately it must not have been hooked up properly. But that was unknown to us as everything was working just fine. No need to continue on with this nonsense, their review is 100% false so to any guests checking out my property, please look beyond this nonsense. And to any other hosts that also see this review, I would stay as far away as possible to renting to this family!!!!

We stayed at this home while in town for a baseball tournament, and it was absolutely perfect for our group. The location is incredible, with Lake Erie on one side and Sandusky Bay on the other, giving us beautiful water views from every direction.The house itself was beautiful, spotless, and very spacious. Our family especially loved the large front and backyard, where we spent a lot of time playing whiffle ball, and the fishing opportunities were an added bonus. With all of the windows throughout the home, we were able to enjoy and capture so many stunning views during our stay.One of our favorite parts of the stay was the amazing kitchen. It had everything we needed, and we especially loved the large griddle downstairs where we made a family fajita dinner one evening. The house truly has everything you could need. If we did have a question or a need, Lindsay was extremely responsive and went above and beyond to help. We have stayed in many rental homes over the years, and I can honestly say we have never experienced a host as friendly, welcoming, and helpful as Lindsay.Thank you, Lindsay, for a wonderful stay. We highly recommend this property and would gladly stay here again!

Amazing !

This lake house is perfect for a family getaway. It’s spacious, beds are comfortable, kitchen is amazing, and fully stocked with all the tools you need to prepare any meal. You also get the best of both worlds between the Sandusky bay in the back, and Lake Erie in the front. Not to mention a very spacious yard. Last but not least for the owner Lindsay is very easy to deal with, amd very responsive to your needs should you have any. In our case there were a few VERY MINOR issues that Lindsay was already on top of that absolutely did not affect our stay but did demonstrate that she is an awesome owner, and great to rent from . WE WILL BE BACK!

Amazing property!

We loved our stay at Cedar Willow! It was probably the cleanest rental I’ve ever stayed in, the views were gorgeous, and the check in process was seamless. Would highly recommend.

Beautiful property on the water conveniently located to Cedar Point, Put-in-Bay, & Kelleys Island

Our annual family vacation plans were altered last minute & by luck we found Cedar Willow. The home is well laid out with an expansive kitchen & great room on the second floors with panoramic views of the lake to view the sunset. The house is beautifully decorated & clean. The bedrooms were spacious. There was even a bunkbed room that our kids loved. We were able to tie off our four waverunners on the seawall for easy access to water fun. The lake is calm with not a lot of boat access. This property is just down the road from Cedar Point. Overall we give Cedar Willow Five Stars. A special thank you to Lindsay the property manager who was extremely helpful and great to work with. We will be coming back!
