The Iconic Dutch Bell is a historic home built in 1906 to be the waiting room and ticket sales for the Trolley riders when Randall's Wharf was the Trolley barn. Completely renovated and updated in 2021, this property offers the ultimate standard in downtown living with privacy and sophistication and the vibrant pulse of Mystic just steps away.

Mystic's beautiful coastline is where you can find your ideal getaway spot at this lovely three-bedroom retreat. Situated less than a 5-min walk to Main Street, Mystic (Drawbridge, Ice Cream) and steps away from some of the regions most renowned restaurants, bakeries and nightlife, you'll be immersed in the rich maritime history and quaint New England atmosphere.

Keep connected with the free WiFi, and enjoy the convenience of a fully stocked kitchen, complete with a stove, oven, refrigerator, grill, and all the necessary appliances and utensils to prepare delicious meals.

When it's time to explore, venture just an 8-minute drive to the Seaport, a 19-minute drive to the Foxwoods Resort Casino or a 24-minute drive to the Mohegan Sun Casino for exciting entertainment, gaming or award-winning golf courses. Back at the property, keep the little ones entertained with the selection of games and books, or take advantage of the provided baby gate and travel crib for a stress-free family vacation.

Each room is equipped with smart TV's and Amazon Alexa/Echo's so you can check on the weather or play sleep sounds or white noise. Out back, we've created a new, bluestone private patio nestled in the trees for al fresco dining. Off the front you will find a side deck for grilling and a beautifully landscaped area with a year-round fire pit for seating, relaxing and people-watching!

Please note : Due to the proximity to local restaurants, eateries and bars, there may be residual noise/music durning nicer weather. If you are experiencing louder than average noise please notify us via cell. There is a noise ordinance for downtown Mystic on weekends and we can help alleviate it quickly. We have a ring doorbell installed on the rear entrance which is video enabled when guests arrive or depart. We use this feature only in the event of an incident and they are deleted every 30 days. If you have a concern please let us know in advance.

Husband's 60th Birthday trip

We had a great stay. The house in beautiful and very clean. Beds are all comfy and bedding top notch! Owners were very pleasant to text with and responsive. The location is great. Only issue may be with some who go to bed early as the bar next door is a little noisy up until midnight. Thanks for sharing your lovely home with us!

Lovely Home In Perfect Location

We were a group of 50 something ladies and lifelong friends. The home was absolutely perfect. All of the 3 bedrooms have their dedicated bathrooms. The kitchen could not be more equipped, including glassware for follow and he TV, heat, appliances

Excellent host

My sisters and I rented this house for a 60th birthday get away. The house was perfectly located so that we were able to walk everywhere. Shopping, lunch and dinner. The house itself was not only beautiful and clean but it had every amenity you might need. Would definitely consider coming back in the future !

It's perfect

It is one of the best appointed houses we've stayed at. It has comfortable seating, comfortable lighting, plenty of charm. The hosts provide extras like coffee, nondairy creamer in the fridge, and packets of hot chocolate. They even include bath bombs for the tub. It's walkable to a lot with easy parking. I don't always leave reviews, but this one deserves it. You can hear people and cars right outside because it's located on a main road next to many restaurants, but that's what you get with the convenience of that kind of location. It's lovely.

Great homey location in downtown Mystic

Our first empty nester Thanksgiving in Mystic, CT was wonderful! We could walk to downtown, and many attractions were only a short drive. The Dutch Bell was warm and cozy, particularly with the gas fireplace on a cold rainy day. Everything needed for a comfortable stay (long or short term) was provided, including a lovely dog park next to the marina just outside our door. We're long term Vrbo renter's and would highly recommend the Dutch Bell!

Beyond our highest expectations!

Everything could not have been more perfect for 3 couples! We have never experienced such perfection in a rental. Everything detail was wonderful! The decor was creative, the kitchen equipment was above and beyond, the fireplace and living room seating was cozy, the beds incredibly comfortable, and the maintenance and cleanliness of everything was remarkable. Any questions were answered quickly, and we were even informed when we could check in early. My only regret is that we had to leave because of all of our schedules. It is so close to town that I wish I had had time to explore more of charming Mystic!

Women's Weekend

Fantastic home with a thoughtful lay-out, including three bedrooms, each with a private bathroom! Kitchen was well-stocked with every possible consideration for prepping meals. Location central to a hub of activity, easy walking distance to shops, bars, and restaurants. Beware that the proximity to nightlife may disturb a light sleeper, however owner has made accomodation with sound devices.

Great house - great location!

This was a comfortable house with fantastic proximity to great food and walking distance to shopping and attractions. The best oysters I’ve ever eaten were only two doors away! The host did a great job of communicating and was very prompt to respond to a maintenance issue. Would DEFINITELY rent again!

What a gem!

I can’t recommend this rental enough. Location was absolutely fabulous, listing was accurate, booking, check in and check out were easy and hosts were lovely and responsive. I highly recommend this property without hesitation. You won’t be disappointed!

Wonderful

A wonderful stay for 6 of us. We each had our own bathroom and the beds were so comfy. The house was beautiful. Had everything you would need. The location was so awesome you can walk to a lot of things. Jon was a perfect host quick response on a question we had. Would recommend this to anyone that wants a Beautiful house great host and great location.

Wedding Weekend

We had a wedding at Mystic Yacht Club and this house was perfect. We were right in the heart of historic downtown mystic. It couldn’t have been a better location for us. Definitely a great rental!

Magical Mystic Adventure

Perfect location to experience all that Mystic has to offer. Plenty of space for 4 adults and 1 pup. Would have accommodated another couple just as comfortably as well. All the comforts of home to round out our stay.

Amazing stay!

The property is amazing. The photos really do not do it justice. It's way bigger than I imagined. 6 adults and a child had so much space to hang out and coexist. The location could not be better. Everything is walkable. It's next to one of the best cocktail bars in America too (Port of Call).

Fun and Relaxation

We had an amazing time during our stay and would definitely stay here again. The location is perfectly positioned in the heart of Mystic and is exactly as described on VRBO. Extremely clean and offers everything you would need for a comfortable stay. Very spacious house, beds were so comfortable and the central air is perfect. We hope to stay here again next year.

FABULOUS Location & BEAUTIFUL Home!

Better than the pictures even show. Absolutely gorgeous, perfect location...THE.PERFECT.STAY. My husband and I took our 11 year old twins, our 13 year old son and our dog for a 4 night vacation. Walking distance to restaurants and shops, 4 minute drive to aquarium and seaport. Would stay here again for sure! It was exactly what we needed. Owner was prompt in communication. We had so much fun at the house and in the town.

Dutch Bell Was A Hit!

Our recent stay at the Dutch Bell was a delightful experience. The cleanliness was top-notch, and the home was beautifully decorated- providing the linens and towels was a bonus. Being just a short distance from downtown was a game-changer. It allowed easy access to vibrant restaurants (our family loved Sift Bakery, Young Buns Doughnuts, and Mystic Drawbridge ice cream), shops, and attractions, making exploration effortless. The well-equipped kitchen and cozy living area (the fireplace was great when the evening turned chilly) added to the comfort, and the private parking space was a pleasant bonus. Overall, if you're looking for a clean, centrally located, and charming retreat, this property is an excellent choice. Highly recommended for a memorable getaway!

Excellent property

This property was an excellent choice for three couples for a weekend stay. Each of us had a lovely bedroo/bathroom with at least a queen bed. The bedrooms were separated, which gave us a great sense of privacy. We enjoyed dinner at the dining table that comfortably seated six adults. The home was beautiful, immaculate and the property manager was gracious and responsive. The property is right in downtown Mystic, which made it very convenient to walk to the shops and restaurants. There was an outside seating area with a propane fire pit, which would have been nice on a warmer evening than we had. We did enjoy the gas fireplace in the living room. One note, due to its location close to a bar and busy area, we did hear some street noise from the bedrooms. It didn’t bother me, but you might want ear plugs or head phones if you are sensitive to noise.

We fell in love with this home for many reasons, including the location. Park your car and you may not use it for the rest of the weekend! If you’re looking for a quiet getaway or prefer the sound of crickets to the sound of laughter or background music, ask us about our other local properties! Due to the proximity to downtown and the outdoor dining scene with rooftop dining and live music, THERE'S A GOOD CHANCE YOU'LL HEAR IT, especially in the summer months. The restaurants usually stop serving before 10, however, there may be residual noise. We have Amazon Echo's in every room for checking on the weather or playing sleep sounds at night.
