The perfect place for a family get away. Private wooded area with a beautiful view. Spacious two story house with large living room and large dining room, 5 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. The view of 2 ponds right out the front door is beautiful. You will find the new paved bike trail through the trees that will bring you to the city park and right into town for your convenience. There is a story behind this property: The house was moved from about 7 miles east of Luverne in June 2021.

Great gathering space for a family trip.

Wonderful Stay

It was perfect for our family while we were celebrating our son's wedding! I wish we had more time to enjoy a walk around the property. It was such a beautiful area. The house was exactly what we needed - lots of space and close to town to get ready and relax between wedding activities.

Great place

Unfortunately, I could not make the trip, but my family said the place was great and a lot nicer than what was on the Vrbo website. My family said they would stay again. Owners were very nice and easy to speak with. Thank you Missy and Billy!

Although it was listed as having four bedrooms and five beds, it had five bedrooms! What a great surprise. It was the ideal place for our friend group of 10. The lightning bugs out the window, the tree line driveway and the general quiet surrounding the place was really wonderful. Thank you!

We enjoyed our stay there. Very roomy. However the bed we slept in was very squeaky. Even the smallest movement, made a loud squeaky sound! Lol! The others didn’t have any issues with their bed. Also having a camper right next to the house was odd. Also needed to supply a few toilet paper. We mostly needed a place to sleep at night.

Lovely and restful

The house was spacious. There were two bedrooms and a bathroom with a beautiful shower on the main floor with only one short step to get into the house. Three more bedrooms upstairs with another bathroom. That was perfect for my friend that uses a walker. There was a lovely walking trail going past the house. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Loved the House

Stay at Sweet Retreat

We enjoyed our stay immensely. The home is very clean and orderly and works well for 10 guests. When a small appliance was not working correctly, the owners immediately got us a replacement.

We had two families stay here and it was great! Close to town but quiet and secluded. Beautiful scenery love seeing the deer at night and in the morning. House is very clean and updated. Thank you!

Terrific Stay

We stayed at this house when we were visiting family nearby. It was a great fit and accommodated us (4 adults and 4 kids) easily. Everything was clean and well-maintained. The setting of the property was lovely with trees and ponds. We enjoyed having quick access to the paved trail at the edge of the property. We would definitely book this house again.

Property definitely needs some improvement. When we got to the property it smelled like someone tried to cover up the smell of the house by using a strong cleaner a wall plug-ins. The next door “neighbor” was parked next door in his old bus that was converted to a motor home. There was a RV a few places down that had moss growing all over it. It looked abandoned. The property is located in a campground that is not very well kept. The bedroom I slept in didn’t have a curtain or shades for the window. They left a blanket to put over the window as a curtain. Not what I would expect from any place that is being rented out. It would have been nice for you to leave some basic things like, salt,pepper and paper towels. I was going to use the grill but it hadn’t been cleaned for a long time. Disgusting. We had to scrub the fry pan because food was still on it. There is no WiFi. Something that should be provided.

Great House while visiting Luverne area

Nice house, kept very clean with large family room for gathering after dinner. Situated in a campsite type atmosphere, we had access to all sorts of outdoor activiites including a nice walking trail and a pond and stream on the property or nearby. We had a minor issue at the house which the owners took care of immediately. Overall, we had a great stay at the house.
