Drop your Anchor & stay in this freshly updated, water-front, 3 bedroom home in the "Bass Capital" of the USA. Enjoy all the natural beauty of the St Johns River, 2 Springs/State Parks and views of the Ocala National forest and of course, great fishing! Located between Welaka and Georgetown on the St Johns River
The space
Home features 3 rooms; 2 with king beds, (1 room has a desk in case this is a working vacation for you!) & 1 room with a 1 queen bed), 2 full bathrooms, 2 screened-in porches, (the front porch overlooks a horse farm and the back porch overlooks the canal), a large outdoor pavered area with fire pit, a boat dock with 2 covered-slips available & enough parking for 3 boats, a large fenced backyard, plenty of on-site parking for vehicles and boat trailers, a fully stocked kitchen & laundry room. WIFI is available, Smart TV enabled for streaming.

Pets are welcome with a $25 per day/per pet non-refundable pet-fee and we do ask that you keep pets off the furniture.

If you want to prepare & cook meals, we suggest you bring food with you as the nearest grocery store is about 30 mins away. There is a Dollar General nearby that carries some basic groceries to get you by if needed or if you forgot something. There are also several great restaurants near by if you prefer to dine out or order delivery.

A private boat ramp at the end of the street is suitable for boats under 20' or there is a larger boat ramp nearby at Renegades on the River for a small fee.

Stay & enjoy all the local area has to offer, visit Historic St Augustine which is an hour's drive North-east or visit beautiful Deland FL which is an hour in the other direction.

No matter what you choose, you won't be ready to sail away at the end!

Wonderful stay

Absolutely loved this property. The view and house was just what we needed. Very clean and spacious. Owner was very communicative and accommodating. Wish the weather worked better in our favor to bring our boat, next time for sure! We will be back. Thank you for letting us stay in your home!

Great family vacation

Love this place

This was our second time at Anchor House and it really is a fantastic place. Being right on the water makes it easy to take the boat out or just fish right off the dock. Super clean and has everything you need for a relaxing getaway.

Peaceful, quite and relaxing

This home is just as described! We loved fishing right off the dock in the back yard. It was the perfect place for evening relaxing. We had our dinners on the back screened in porch overlooking the canal. We even had a hummingbird visit us. The beds were so comfortable, it was hard to get out of it to do some early morning fishing. Would definitely come back again!

Fishing trip

Our second time staying at the Anchor house. We love it!! We bring two boats. The boat slips are nice. And the fish cleaning station is perfect. The beds sleep good and the screened in back porch is where we hang out. Plenty of room for two trucks and boat trailers. Its the best place fir fishing and relaxing.

St John’s River Fishing

Location was perfect, the house was perfect for 6 adults and kids. Access to the water was my favorite about the house. We used the location and house for the easy access to the water for fishing. We will be back on a future date!

Anchor House!

Pictures and description are accurate. Excellent hosts. Very clean house with comfortable furniture and beds. Nice fire pit in the backyard overlooking the canal. Will book again for next year's trip.

Excellent stay

Anchor house is exactly as described and as pictures show. Clean, comfortable and great location. Yard is nice, back porch is where we spent most of our time and so relaxing! Owner was great to communicate with!! We will be back!

Favorite Rental

This place is close to home. We appreciate having his place to be able to rent. Our home has limited space for family and the extra bedrooms here help a lot. Our children and grandchildren stayed here and loved the new addition of the fire pit. We had 30 people between our family and my sister’s and also had other rentals in the area. My family’s favorite place is Anchor’s Away. Always our number one choice. Thank you.

Guys weekend!

Once again, an awesome trip! It's great to bring the boat leave it in the water. I surprised by the upgrades in the back yard with firepit area....beautiful!! Relaxing is all I can say!! Great property!! Thank you Priscilla!!

Nice stay

It was a good place to stay. We needed somewhere near the water for other friends staying close. If you don’t have a boat, there really isn’t much to do. It was clean, but the coffee was old and we had to run out to a gas station. The owners communicate very well and promptly.

Nice place

We decided to take a last minute trip. So glad we did, The Anchor House was perfect. Right on the water and just so relaxing. The guys fished the entire time and caught plenty right off of the dock. We will definitely be back.

Strictly Fishing

This house is in one of the best locations right off the canal with two boat stalls and electricity to charge your boats. We had four family members and two boats and caught around 475 brim and shell crackers in three days..

Relaxing stay

Anchor House

Enjoyed our two week stay in Anchor House. Property location on Canal was perfect for boating and fishing. Very relaxing home, with everything needed. Property owner was very responsive, and easy to work with.

Great fishing property!

Was a great home base for a fishing trip. Home had great kitchen supplies. Plenty of paper products provided. Clean and well organized. Nicely located on canal close to lake and river, with a good covered dock.

Fishing trip

Property was excellent. Nice fish cleaning station, we caught 229! Great boat dock, both our boats were under shelter. Plenty of space for two trucks and two boat trailers. Screened in porch for sitting and watching the water without bugs bothering us. Saw two otters on the dock! Neighbors were nice. Would most definitely recommend this place and would stay here again.

Relaxation!!

Second time staying here and no disappointment! Relaxation was the plan... involving fishing, a couple boat rides to Renegades on the River and just hanging out. Perfect location for that quiet river vibe. At the end of the street is a boat launch, covered boat dock (although the water levels were high after Ian, it was still usable) and Renegades is less than a 5 minute boat ride. The property was clean and comfortable and the back porch overlooking the canal was relaxing!!

The property was nice, could leave instructions for how to use the TV since there is no cable or satalite, using apps with no instructions is difficult. The pictures listed are a little misleading, as it looks like it is on deeper water and not at end of canal. Overall we had a nice family trip and would recommend to others

We love it so much and find the area peaceful and a great place to get away and make life-long memories for our family. Friends and extended family wanted to use our house, so when we found this property we knew exactly what we wanted to provide. A place for friends and family to gather and enjoy our happy place.
