Lakeside Hideaway II - lakefront with hot tub / walk to boat ramp

Welcome to our rustic lakefront townhouse on Lake Cumberland! Enjoy the view from our spacious decks or relax in the hot tub, by the campfire, or in the community swimming pool. Boaters can access the public boat ramp a quarter mile down the road. Hiking and ATV trails are located in the surrounding Daniel Boone National Forest. Cumberland Falls, Natural Arch, Princess Falls, the Big South Fork Recreation Area, SomerSplash Waterpark, and wineries are located a short drive away.

Our townhome is located in Lake Cumberland Resort, a gated community, with 24 hour security, 3 swimming pools, tennis court, and a small store (offers milk, bread, eggs, ice cream, pizza, and local artwork).

The townhome features 3 bedrooms. The first floor King bedroom has an adjoining full bathroom. Two Queen bedrooms are on the lower level and share a full bathroom. One lower deck and one upper deck have seating for dining or relaxing and enjoying the view (the hot tub is on the lower deck).

Wonderful Stay!

We had a great stay! The property was clean, and had everything we needed to feel at home. There is a nice view of the lake and the fire pit in the backyard was nice to use in the evenings. The proximity of the boat ramp was also a plus. We would definitely stay there again!

Weekend getaway

The home was in pristine condition! Very clean, neat and tidy. The home was stocked with any dishes,utensils and supplies anyone would need. Beautiful location and view. I can’t say enough good things!

Great place

This was a great place and they had anything you would ever need. One of the best places I have stayed. I loved that they communicated up front about an issue that was out of their hands. I would recommend this place to anyone. We had a great week with our family.

Absolutely perfect!

We stayed for a long weekend and, the home was perfect! We enjoyed the views of the lake, the beautiful home and the hot tub! It was a relaxing getaway and we will be back! I must say, Tracy was amazing with communication, and that meant so much! Thanks again!

A nice stay

Overall we had a great time minus the storm that passed through and we lost power for a couple of hours. A short walk to the pool was very nice. Only negative was the hot tub needs some TLC but still usable. May want to rename the accounts on smart TV as the names I found funny but others may not. Would stay here again.

A Great Place to Relax and get away!!

The home was lovey! Clean and comfortable! My Husband and I wanted a place to go to get away and rest and relax and this was perfect. It would also work great for someone with a boat, as the boat ramp is right behind the house.. Owner was quick to respond when we had questions. I would suggest bringing groceries with you as the closet town is a bit away.

Great property in a beautiful resort but very remote.

Everything we needed was provided so very happy with the acommodations but just takes too long to get to civilization and to the open part of the lake. We had difficulty finding where to take the trash.

LOVE

We recently stayed at this property due to being in Somerset for a family funeral. Although we didn't get to spend as much time at the house as we would have liked, it was a great property. We loved being able to have coffee in the mornings on the screened porch with a view of the lake and an adult beverage in the evenings! There were a couple of minor issues with the house but I notified the owner after our stay and she was very responsive to my suggestions! I hope to stay here again!

Lake Days Weekend

My friend and I decided to we needed a long weekend getaway for us and our 2 teen boys. This unit was perfect. The gated community helped us momma's feel more secure going alone the first night before my husband joined us after work on Friday. The home was not only clean but well stocked for all our needs. We cooked some delicious meals using the gas grill and the kitchen as well. The view from the screened in patio was gorgeous and peaceful. We enjoyed the pool daily and had it mostly to ourselves. The owner/host was so helpful. She answered all of our questions in a timely manner and made us feel right at home. We hope to visit again soon and will recommend this unit to friends and family.

The property was really nice and clean. Having close access to the boat ramp was very handy but the only downside to the property was its not waterfront accessible. We were hoping to be able to fish from the property, but it is like the edge of a cliff down to the water. Besides that, it was clean and a very nice area. Unfortunately, the condo/duplex neighbors were very loud and was hard to sleep with them up so late and noisy.

Fall girls trip

Loved loved loved the interior and decor of Lakeside hideaway. Plenty of room for the 4 of us girls and kitchen had all the amenities we could ask for. Really enjoyed sitting in the screened porch. Only a couple little things keep it from being perfect.. Did notice that there had been some storm damage (?) to the next unit and that there may of been some to this as well ( downstairs bedroom closet) and hot tub electrical was a bit too close for overflow water for personal taste and a better barrier between other side on the deck. (We had a group of young men the last night there that smoked and we kinda got subjected to cigar smoke). Overall I’d come back in a heartbeat especially in the “off” season as it was peaceful. Thank you for an excellent adventure for us

Kentucky Getaway

According to previous reviews we expected a spotless home to spend our week, however, some small but important details could have made our experience 5 stars: floors and furniture could have been completely mopped and dusted ( under furniture and tvs on dressers were dusty, sliding doors needed some wd40 to work without pulling a muscle to open and close and the panel of the door was pretty gross, and along with gross, trash can was totally filthy… we could not bear to look in it as we were quickly trying to put the trash bag in without looking… YUCK! The plastic on the mattresses downstairs caused discomfort and perspiration and didn’t seem necessary as we were all adults except for baby who slept in a crib. On the positive side the master bed upstairs was VERY comfortable. We were also pleased and impressed with what was supplied: dish, dishwasher and laundry detergents, hand soap, cleaning supplies, and trash bags were all available 😊

This place was better than we had even expected! It was very clean, neat and comfortable. Everything that we needed was provided! My family had such a great time here!! I would definitely stay here again!! I give it a 10/10!! Highly recommend!!!

Nice and relaxing

Was a great spot right next to the river/lake. Nice outdoor screened patio to chill on and was perfect while it rained. Hot tub was great. Plenty of space, clean, and comfortable. I must add it was a bit hard to find in the dark, but easy access once we were there. The host was great and very responsive. One thing we might suggest is having some soaps/shampoos available for the guests in the showers. Other than it was a lovely place and we would absolutely recommend.

Tracy and Dave purchased a home on Lake Cumberland in Lake Cumberland Resort in the fall of 2020. Lake Cumberland offers 1200 miles of shoreline and is nearly 100 miles long. The coves make for an enjoyable day to tie your boat up and enjoy the clear water and beautiful scenery. Hiking and ATV trails surround the property in Daniel Boone National Forest.
