Cooley’s Cottage is a beautiful log home with a hot tub!

Located just 3 miles from Ohiopyle, our beautiful log home provides a romantic, quiet mountain getaway experience. A spacious first floor bedroom with queen size log bed and upstairs loft room with queen size bed provide comfortable, private sleeping arrangements for two couples, or a small family of four. A darling country kitchen provides everything you’ll need including a dishwasher. Relax by the beautiful stone fireplace in the living room or enjoy the tv in the snug while watching deer play just outside the tall windows. After a day of hiking, biking, or rafting in nearby Ohiopyle you can enjoy an evening dining on the back deck, searing some steaks on the charcoal grill (summer months), or unwinding in the hot tub if the weather permits. We also provide a washer and dryer for your laundry needs. In floor radiant heat will keep your toes warm during winter months while central air conditioning keeps the home cool and comfortable in the summer. We are located just minutes from Fallingwater, Kentuck Knob, Ohiopyle State Park, Nemacolin Woodlands, Lady Luck Casino, Fort Necessity, Laurel Caverns, and the Jumonville Cross. Our mobile massage therapist is available for in house massage services by pre scheduled appointment. Please inquire for details.

Cooley’s Cottage was beautiful and very cozy! It has all the amenities to make it feel like home. Luann was very sweet and quick to respond to questions. We loved soaking in the hot tub after a day of hiking and biking. We enjoyed s’mores by the fire pit. It was a great trip and we will definitely return!

The house was beautiful and comfortable and had everything we needed. It’s very close to Ohiopyle Park which was wonderful. It was easy to communicate with Luann and we so appreciated the extra, personal touches including an apple pie for our anniversary!

You will not find a nicer log home for your stay. Very quiet and a short drive to Ohiopyle state park. Love the hot tub after a day of exploring.

The place is stunning. The hot tub is a fantastic evening view to look at the stars. The fireplace is extremely inviting and cozy. Everything about this place is very welcoming and cozy and we did not want to leave. We will certainly be back!

Great spot for relaxing. Hot tub was clean and nice. Bowl of candy and the cinnamon rolls were a nice touch, also the signs with our names and anniversary welcome were above and beyond expected.

Cooley’s cottage was perfect for a getaway with our daughter and son in law. The cabin was immaculate, comfortable and well stocked with everything we needed. It is close to hiking and river activities (although it was too cold the weekend we were there!), and to local attractions such as Fallingwater and several other Frank Lloyd Wright homes. Luann is an excellent communicator “, answering questions and providing suggestions quickly. We had a wonderful, relaxing weekend and would not hesitate to return.

One of the bests places we’ve stayed…if not the best. The owners clearly take pride in their property. Awaiting our arrival were some yummy homemade treats. It was clean, well maintained, open and spacious, comfy and inviting; and there was ample seating. The kitchen was well stocked. We invited them to visit with their dogs and had a nice little visit. Very kind and warm couple. Respectful of our space and privacy. We will absolutely be going back.

When looking to visit this area, we knew we wanted a cabin, close to activities we were planning with a hot tub. This cabin was on our list. When we saw the pictures and the pillows on the bed that say, I love You and I Know, we knew this was the one (we say that to each other all the time). This cabin is beautiful, was very clean, linens included is a plus and the host was very responsive. She even had left us donuts. Check in and out is easy and I had no worries because we had the address before we left home. We were close enough to visit family in West Virginia and Pittsburg. The bed was comfy, the walk in closet was nice to have somewhere to have our suitcases out of the way. There is not a grocery store to close, we did find an Aldi and Walmart about 40 minutes away. There is so much to see and do in this area and we can't wait to come back and enjoy the hot tub in cooler months. This Cabin was perfect!! Thank you so much for sharing and being a great host.

Owners, Kevin and Luann Schaefer built this home in 2002 for Luann's mother, Mrs. Cooley shortly after her husband passed away. She made many wonderful memories and shared her home with family and friends before moving into personal care at the age of 94.
