This charming and stylish, beautifully refurbished cottage is 1.5 blocks from Carpinteria State Beach, 1 block from Carpinteria Salt Marsh Nature Park and a few blocks to the heart of town. Included bikes, beach chairs, beach wagon, and cooler all make a fun-filled day at the beach effortless. When you return, rinse off the salt and sand in the warmth of the outdoor shower.

We were honored to have our cottages (#248884 & #336069) chosen to fill the "Little Gem" category of Carpinteria Beautiful's annual Home and Garden Tour in April 2012. They were also featured in Carpinteria Magazine's winter 2010 edition.

The cottage features bamboo hardwood floors, tasteful furnishings, central heat, ceiling fans in the bedrooms, and all the comforts of home. Beautiful, original paintings by local artists adorn the walls. There is a bedroom with a queen bed and another with a bunk bed with a twin on top and full bed on the bottom. A lovely patio in the yard with an outdoor dining table is the perfect spot for a sunset dinner. The cottage is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. There is a fully upgraded kitchen with stone countertops and all new appliances, including a dishwasher, microwave and ice maker. You will also find a washer and dryer for your convenience. We offer a library of beach and summer themed DVD's and wireless internet at no additional charge. Games and books are in the cupboard for mellow days around the house.

The surrounding neighborhood is very peaceful and the neighbors are friendly. There are several antique shops and wonderful restaurants within walking distance, as well as nature trails and wonderful bird watching one short block away. Or, hop on the bikes and head to town! Thursday afternoons offer a fresh Farmers Market. The town of Santa Barbara is a short drive away and hosts a zoo, museums, shopping, golf, art events, botanical gardens, the Queen of the Missions, wine tasting and more! Stop in Summerland for great antiquing, then glamorous, celebrity-filled Montectio along the way.

This little community and this cottage were perfect for our long weekend in California. Walk to so many good restaurants and cute shops or hang out at the beach, super chill vibe, less expensive than Santa Barbara but close enough to enjoy it all.

Perfect Spot!

The cottage was a perfect end to our trip! Kat, our host was terrific, check in and out so easy! The beach is a quick walk, town is also walking distance. Everything we needed was there. The beds are comfortable, beach towels, toys and chairs, the kitchen is well equipped for the simple dinners we cooked. We will definitely be back!

Lovely CARP Cottage

Wonderful stay in a lovely cottage in Carpinteria, CA 2 blocks from the beach. House came fully equipped with everything you need and had very nice furnishings. Outdoor shower with hot and cold water and a beautiful patio to relax on. Quiet location. Host was excellent to work with and communicated promptly!

Cute Carpinteria Cottage

We stayed in Carpinteria for graduation weekend at UCSB and my only regret is that we didn't get to spend more time there! The cottage is clean, cute, comfortable, well stocked, with lots of parking available and located within easy walking distance to the beach and restaurants. We'll find a reason to come back!

Surf trip

This was a perfect location for SB/Ventura county surf spots. The cottage had plenty of space, super clean, and walking distance from everything we needed in Carpinteria. Definitely would return!!!

A+, amazing experience

My family wants to go back so I really don’t want to write such a good review. The first thing my 5 yr old boy said was, “I wish we had a house like this.” There was a bunk bed the kids loved going up and down in. Kids play with rocks and there were rocks in the courtyard. Parking in the courtyard was very easy to do as well off the street. There is a train that honks every so often close by, but my little kids loved that! We stayed for 4 nights. The house is 2 blocks from the beach. My 5 yr old loves the beach! I have a 2 yr old and she likes the beach, but at that age not as much. The town of Carpenteria is nice. Lots of restaurants and grocery stores. I hope we can stay there again. This house gets booked up quick. Nice manager who emailed/texted with me a couple times checking in.

Great location in Carp

Walk to everything. No need to drive unless you are going to SB or Montecito. Only minor complaint was it rained and TV was too small. Probably not an issue if weather was better but 28” TV? They have some good DVD’s in the house and there are sharing library’s around neighborhoods. Good used book store in town as well. Carp is a great small town with great hikes in hills or by the beaches. Love Padaro grill and eating on the beach nearby. We would come back again for sure.

Perfect Location, Perfect Home

This property was exactly what we needed. It was comfortable and had everything we needed and wanted. It's a short walk to the beach and the main street. There are lots of restaurants and other fun shops to check out. We had a fun, relaxing time. Highly recommend.

Everything was amazing. Only addition that would make it exceptional is a fire pit. Our family of 4 with two teenage boys absolutely loved it.

beach cottage life

Absolutely love this cottage, second time we have stayed here, feels like a piece of home to us, love the size, patio, kitchen comes in handy. We come in and park and never get back in our truck, walk everywhere, got our steps in for sure! We are already looking at our schedule to get another visit in before end of next month.

Beach getaway

What a wonderful little cottage. Perfect location and comfortable set up. House was super cute and the front yard fit our needs perfectly. The house has all the pots pans etc, but you’ll need to arrive with coffee, sugar, cooking oil and all your bathroom toiletries. No soaps other than hand soap provided.

Family Get Away

We stayed here while visiting colleges between LA and Santa Barbara. Even though the weather was not perfect we still enjoyed the short walk to the beach and cozy cottage to play games and relax together. When there was a break in the rain we used the bikes to explore town and the outdoors. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed and lots of restaurant choices when we didn’t want to cook. Thank you so much for sharing your cottage with us!

This place is so special !

We had the best time at this property and really just fell in love with Carpinteria! The house was perfect for our family of four. We appreciated all the updates, the decor and the coziness of this place. It was handy having a washer/dryer available to us. We had everything we needed at this property. It’s a special place for sure and I hope to visit again someday!

Fun Beach Cottage

We enjoyed bringing in the 2023 at this cute beach bungalow. We enjoyed a short walk to the beach and had so much fun riding bicycles to the bluffs. The house was clean with a peaceful and relaxing vibe. Unfortunately, our scheduled whale watching tour to the Channel Islands was cancelled due to inclement weather. A good reason to come back! We expertly and extensively refurbished them throughout, upgrading EVERYTHING and making them very livable and lovely. They are now complete and we are ready to share them with people that will appreciate the fine quality of our charming cottages.
