Dirty and Missing Basic Amenities
I stay at this property annually, so I knew what I was getting into - the hotel rooms aren’t very clean or updated but we host a conference here, so it’s more continent than anything else.
This was my first year booking a condo and I was expecting minimal amenities, for sure, but not at all what I walked into. The place was dirty, especially the floors, blankets, and couches. I know it’s a beach destination but it is as if only the minimum level of cleaning ever happens here.
The kitchen was never deep cleaned, so while the dishes themselves were clean, I still felt the need to wash them before I used them. I’ll never get in a rental why so many people leave behind their gross condiment packets and things, but the drawers were filled with them. They also had a quite useless collection of disorganized and dirty pots, bowls, baking pans, etc. that weren’t helpful when we attempted to cook.
The bedrooms were clean enough but the blankets are clearly never washed and the closets are filled with random stuff. The most egregious is that they claimed we’d have all the sheets we needed but multiple beds didn’t have pillowcases at all. Gross.
Lastly, I understand that the amenities provided are minimal in vacation rentals but usually it’s an all-or-nothing deal. What was provided in terms of towels, toilet paper, etc. wasn’t useful or helpful with the number of occupants this unit can fit. And that wasn’t made clear ahead of time.
