Elk Hill is a spacious rental home with a large yard and deck to enjoy the view of the mountains. With bedrooms, bathrooms, and living areas on both levels, this home offers lots of interior space for everyone to gather together or spread out for separate activities.
The living area on the main level features a stone fireplace, lots of natural light, deck access, and plenty of games or puzzles for you to enjoy during your stay. The kitchen is expansive and has a gas range, plenty of counter space, and cabinet storage. The adjoining dining room has seating for all guests and an additional breakfast nook. Also on this level, are two bedrooms, each with king beds and full baths. Each bedroom on this level has a flat screen tv.
On the second level, there is another living area with a pool table and kitchenette. The third bedroom has a king bed, full bath and walk-in shower, yard access, and a stone fireplace. For kids, there are bunk beds and a cozy book nook with a sleeper sofa, as well as an attached bathroom that includes a bathtub.
It's only minutes from downtown historic Banner Elk, and equally close to Sugar Mountain for all your winter sports desires.
Elk Hill is dog friendly, with a nonrefundable pet fee and prior approval from our office at Resort Real Estate and Rentals.
No Check-in's Thanksgiving Day or Christmas Day. All guests are required to sign a rental agreement upon booking.

La casa es suoer linda

Pasamos un fin de semana en familia disfrutamos mucho, fue poco tiempo pero no dan ganas de salir de casa puedes divertirte estando allí. Lo único es que en temporada de nieve debes llevar vehículo apropiados que suban la colina, nos toco dejar los carros abajo y subir todoo. Por todo lo demas perfecto

Nice

It was nice with the exception of finding dog poop in the dining area. That just was unacceptable because I used to clean houses for a living and we checked wall to wall for cleanliness and made sure it was left in mint condition. We wanted to get away for just a couple of days but when I saw that it just threw me into a panicked mode. Anyways we did enjoy our stay.

3rd Summer Stay

Fantastic Views

Beautiful property! The views from the deck were unbelievable. Lots of space for our dogs to roam outside in the yard and lots of space inside for our family and my sister’s family. Convenient to restaurants and tourist attractions. I would definitely stay again!

I'm here to spill the tea on this gem of a property. Buckle up, because it's a bit of a rollercoaster!Let me start with what stole our hearts – the views. Oh boy, those views! Elk Hill Retreat is perched atop a hill about 6 min from the Sugar Mountain resort, offering panoramic scenes that will make your jaw drop. I'm talking about waking up to the sun kissing the peaks and winding down with the most breathtaking sunset you can imagine. It's like Mother Nature decided to show off, and Elk Hill is the front-row seat.We were a group of 11, and there was room for everyone and then some. No elbow-jabbing or awkward bathroom sharing situations here. The property is spacious, both inside and out. The living areas are cozy without feeling cramped, and the bedrooms – oh, the bedrooms! Comfy beds, fresh linens – they nailed the whole "home away from home" vibe.But the real MVPs were the thoughtful touches. Board games? Check. Bedding? Check. Dishes, cooking utensils, and spices? Triple check! It was like they read our minds and anticipated our every need. We had a master chef in our group, and the well-stocked kitchen made our culinary adventures a breeze. Imagine whipping up a feast while gazing at those mountain views – talk about a recipe for happiness.Look, I won't sugarcoat the issues with the property management company. They were a bit slack in the communication and follow-through department. There were times when we felt a bit in the dark, playing a waiting game for responses and waiting until the last minute for directions and final instructions. Elk Hill Retreat

We stayed at this Elk Hill Retreat home, overall the home/neighborhood is pretty good, located on top of a steep hill with great views. Bathrooms are kind of dated. The check in process was kind of hectic as check in as at 4pm and we did not get to have access until almost an hour later (and check out at 10 sharp) the lady at the management office was very busy and was getting slammed with calls.

Such a great house for a big group!

We were a group of 10 girls and felt like there was more than enough space for everyone. The wrap around deck and view was breathtaking and unbeatable. Great Space, Beautiful Views and Welcoming Interior

Two separate families with elementary age children enjoyed this property for a vacation and ski weekend. The home was clean and spacious with gorgeous mountain views. We enjoyed its proximity to the grocery store, ski rentals, general provisions, and also the local resorts. We would definitely go with this location again.

The teens especially liked the game room with a separate kitchen , TV, pool table, etc. on the ground floor. Cleaners need to pay a little more attention to cleaning the throw rugs in the bathrooms, vacuuming and some maintenance needs. Otherwise all was great.

Good Trip and Location

Everything worked well, property had lots of room and worked well for multiple families sharing. Kids really enjoyed the pool table. Location to Sugar Mountain is great. Be aware of steep driveway if it's icy.

Christmas get away

Fall Trip

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Spacious, very nice location but the house needed cleaning,oven was dirty. Stone construction was being done on the back patio and was not disclosed to me and we were awakened by noisy work being done outside our bedroom! When I reached out to owner & agent no one seemed to care! It was not the stress free vacation I planned! For the price I paid for 4 days....I expected better!
