This custom built 2 story, 2 bedroom, 2.5 bath home right on the bluff of Lookout Mountain, GA offers majestic views, peaceful and calming scenery and the chance to feel like you are right at home. Our goal is to provide what we would want in a vacation home for your family, and more. It is exceptionally clean and fully stocked. Throughout your stay we want to take your breath away.
Relax and unwind on the balcony with a cup of coffee, on the patio with a glass of wine with dinner, or by the firepit at night as you watch the sunset. This is a perfect location for a romantic getaway or as a base for outdoor adventures and sight seeing with the family.
Parties are strictly forbidden, and no guests over the number included in the reservation are allowed.
This home is nearby many attractions, including Cloudland Canyon State Park, Ruby Falls, Rock City, the Incline Railway, and the largest hang gliding park.
Chattanooga is also only 13 miles away in which you'll be able to visit the Chattanooga Aquarium, the Chattanooga Choo Choo, The Discovery Museum, a variety of excellent fine dining options, and much, much more!

The view!

The home was very beautiful with an amazing view. Everything was clean and easily accessible. Check in was convenient, and the owners were very friendly. I would definitely recommend and hope one day I can go back, we had a great time visiting!

The View!

We had such a relaxing stay. Fabulous view of bottom farm land, great outdoor space and plenty of room everywhere. The house was very comfortable and had everything we needed!

We really enjoyed our time here. It’s the perfect location for wanting to see Rock City, Ruby Falls, etc, and an awesome view! Very clean and the hosts are awesome as well. We will be back!

This place is amazing

We needed peace and a beautiful location. We got exactly what we needed. The home is exactly as pictured. Close to many attractions, yet you feel very secluded while in the property. You can’t go wrong with the beautiful views. Enjoy!! We’ll be back.

The best place ive stayed in a long time

I cannot recommend this location enough! The view is beautiful constantly, from sunrise to sunset and all the stars you could possibly see. The house is clean, the neighbors are not too close, and there’s a little convenience store within walking distance. I will absolutely rebook here. The check in process was easy and the hosts respond quickly.

Beautiful views

We needed a safe and tranquil place to stay while attempting to visit my best friend from high school and her beautiful family who had a softball tourney in Chattanooga. Ths home was exactly that and we thoroughly enjoyed our short stay.

Wondeful stay with amazing views.

This property is better than advertised. Very clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for an extended weekend. Chattanooga is a short drive away but we couldn’t wait to get back to watch the sunsets from the balcony! Already looking at calender for a return trip this fall.

Great place, hope to stay again

I have traveled to 40 countries, hiked the Alps, seen fjords, been to the bottom of the Grand Canyon and seen the Northern Lights, but with all this there was still something very special and unique about the view off the back balcony. Stunning? Beautiful? Magical? Yes, but there was also something powerful yet peaceful about the giant view. Combine this with a modern well furnished home and it is hard not to be satisfied. Very nice hosts who are helpful and adaptive to you needs. Be sure to spend some time watching the hand gliders jump from a location just two miles down the road.

Misled

Wanted a place near Chattanooga with a view and a fireplace. Entered these search criteria and selected this home because it had 2 fireplaces. When we got there the owners had professionally made signs on the fireplaces saying not to use them. Their listing stated they had them and how to start them. Their welcome packet stated the same. When we got there not only were they broke but they took the time to have a sign made to say they were broke. It would have taken less effort to fix them. They claimed it's OK that they advertised fireplaces as an amenity because in the notes on one page it says they don't work. They don't seem to understand that if you're claiming something is an amenity that it needs to actually be an amenity(working). It's as if you claimed your home had a hot tub and heat and a refrigerator when they didn't work but that's OK because they listed it in the notes on one of the pages at the bottom. That's not the purpose of having "notes". Otherwise the home was nice as others have stated. To their credit they did allow us to move our dates one day. We were in lockdown in Pensacola after a generational snow storm.

Rest and Relaxation

So often, the pictures of the listing are far better than the home itself; but in this case, the house was as beautiful and clean as the pictures! It was almost akin to Dorothy walking through the monochrome Kansas and then stepping into the colorful world of Oz. Here, don’t judge a book by its (front) cover. The house is right on a fairly-busy mountain road, so be wary if you have a young child. But then we opened the front door and we were in another world! Completely quiet and peaceful, with the most beautiful, expansive view. Everything is hardwood (which I love) and leather couches and chaise and ottoman. The cleaning crew is excellent because the house is literally spotless. Although it’s not a large house square footage wise, it feels huge because it is perfectly furnished to emphasize the expansiveness of the mountaintop environment. Everything in the house makes sense, and we wanted for nothing. The owners are attentive, communicative and an absolute pleasure to interact with. I was there with my toddler who exclaimed loudly every day, “I LOVE this house!” The upper deck leads to a lovely, cozy courtyard; the lower deck is perfect for cold nights and hot cocoa in the Adirondack chairs. When you’re inside the house or out back, you truly feel like you’re in a retreat in the middle of nature. We struggled with getting the motivation to go out and do activities in the city because we didn’t want to leave the house! We can’t wait to return!

Nothing Short of Perfect!

My husband and I had an absolutely wonderful week at Stairway to Heaven! The home was beautiful...So spacious, welcoming and comfortable! We felt completely at home! Our son and his girlfriend joined us for three days, and they, too, were in awe of the property. The kitchen was well-stocked with everything you could possibly need in the way of cooking. The bedrooms were comfortable, and the views from the master bedroom and bath were amazing! We absolutely LOVED the deck and spent mornings there sipping coffee, and evenings enjoying a beverage...or two! The views were from the deck were breathtaking! Watching the fog move in and settle for awhile...And then move out was fun to watch...We did a lot of hiking, and enjoyed discovering all that Chattanooga has to offer...The Tennessee Aquarium is wonderful and we highly recommend the National Medal of Honor Heritage Center...We walked around the grounds of Covenant College, and it is beautiful! Chattanooga Choo Choo, Gate 11 Distillery, the Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park, Oddstory Brewing Company, Hutton & Smith Brewing Company and Tony's Pasta Shop & Trattoria for dinner...So much to do...And such an amazing place to return to after enjoying it all! We have nothing but wonderful and positive things to say about our stay here...We highly recommend it! And when we can, we will definitely return! Thank you for such a memorable visit!

Great retreat

We had an excellent long weekend at this mountain top retreat. Nice and quiet. Great views of the valley. Very easy to get into Chattanooga for dinner and a show. We wil definitely look for this place next time we need a get away.

Amazing house and view!

The house was spectacular. All amenities were as stated. House was very clean and comfortable. After a full day of sight seeing, the jacuzzi tub and king bed were heaven. The view was amazing! We could have stayed at the house the entire trip and never gotten tired of the view. Hosts were courteous and responsive to messages. You cannot go wrong staying here!
