Beach house with large garden by the sea, 10 km from the town of Volos. Located in a small bay with little current, traffic and tourism. Ideal for children. Jump into the water from the garden. Ideal to relax. A little paradise.

Shops can be found in Nea Anchialos (5 km) or in Alykes (5 km). The nearest big city is Volos (10 km).

The house has:
a) a studio (stone house, newly built) for up to 3 people with bathroom, kitchen and garden
b) an apartment with 2 rooms for up to 4 people with bathroom, kitchen and covered terrace with deck chairs
c) a large apartment on the ground floor with a closed bedroom and 2 further double beds in the fireplace and living area. In addition, a large kitchen with dishwasher, bathroom with washing machine and balcony
d) a family floor with 4 double rooms with 2 bathrooms and a large balcony with sea view without kitchen but refrigerator, microwave and coffee machine.

On request you can get breakfast and dinner with fresh fish or other Greek specialties.
Bed linen and towels are provided and are changed in the weekly cleaning. Daily cleaning is also possible. A deposit will be charged on arrival, which will be paid out on departure.

There is free WIFI throughout the house and garden.
There are parasols and deckchairs on the beach.

An amazing find away from main tourist areas but with everything you need!

The location of this house is incredible - literally steps away from the beach. There are a number of options for accommodation including double rooms or apartments. We spent a week in the studio apartment which was perfect; clean, comfortable and well equipped. We had an outside patio area and use of a barbecue. The property has a lovely large garden with lots of seating/lounging areas along with a hot tub. There's also a very well equipped professional standard communal kitchen which people staying the in rooms can use. Emmanuel is a lovely host who is knowledgeable and helpful but without being imposing. He's very generous with his wonderful espresso coffees and offer of lifts to town/supermarkets etc. The beach is small but was empty during the week. At weekends it was busier with locals. But nowhere near the overcrowding of Halkidiki! Even when it was busier a short walk to the other side of the village brings more beaches which were often empty. There are two bar/tavernas very close to the house which offer good simple Greek food and drinks. All with genuine hospitality and excellent prices. The water is warm and safe for swimming and a good option for families. There's at least one lifeguard on duty during the season. Agios Stephanos is a short drive away and offers more facilities but again is a predominantly Greek resort. It has a couple of supermarkets and other shops and a wide range of bars and restaurants. Including excellent fish restaurants but not at inflated tourist prices. There's lots to do and see in the area. We have spent lots of time in Greece and I can't recommend this property and the location enough. It's a real alternative to the overcrowded resorts and easy to get to from Thessaloniki (frequent buses to Vollos) and a really genuine and relaxing experience.

Pure Erholung

Wir haben hier auf Empfehlung von Freunden im September 2018 Urlaub gemacht. Es war ein traumhafter Urlaub. Mit insgesamt 4 Erwachsenen und einem kleinen Kind (3 Jahre) haben wir in der Erdgeschoßwohnung im Haupthaus gewohnt. Mit separatem Schlafzimmer, einer Schlafnische, einem Wohn- und Esszimmerbereich sowie Küche und Balkon war die Wohnung perfekt für uns. Frühstück auf dem Balkon mit Meerblick und Meeresrauschen war ein gelungener Start in den Tag. Der Garten ist sehr gepflegt und bietet viele Rückzugsmöglichkeiten. Das Beste ist natürlich das Meer direkt vor der Haustür. Von Hektik oder Trubel war auch am Strand keine Spur. Das Wasser war bereits in der Früh sehr warm, so dass man schon vor dem Frühstück schwimmen konnte. Der Strand ist grobsandig ohne spitze Steine und das Meer geht hier sehr flach rein. Das Wasser ist klar und ideal für kleine Kinder zum planschen oder Erkunden von kleinen Fischen. Der Hausherr Emmanuel hat auch ein Boot und andere Geräte für Wassersport zum Ausleihen. Da in dem Ort quasi kein Verkehr ist, konnten wir abends lange und ruhige Spaziergänge machen und die nächsten Buchten erkunden. Wir haben größtenteils die Ruhe und Gelassenheit des kleinen Örtchens genossen, waren aber auch im nahe gelegenen Volos zum Flanieren auf der Hafenpromenade. Ein Highlight und definitiv zu empfehlen war ein Tagesausflug nach Makrinitsa, dem „Balkon des Pilion“, hinter Volos gelegen. Emmanuel ist sehr zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit und hat uns in allem (Transport, Einkaufen, Ausflugtipps) sehr gut unterstützt. Mietauto kann man auch direkt bei ihm buchen. Besonders zu empfehlen sind die Kochkünste von Emmanuel, die wir ein paar Mal in Anspruch genommen haben. Ansonsten gibt es nebenan auch ein kleines Strandbistro, wo man sich unter tags oder abends mit Kleinigkeiten versorgen kann. Wir haben unseren Urlaub sehr genossen und kommen bestimmt wieder.

Beliggenheden er i særklasse!

Dejligt feriehus - det allerbedste er beliggenheden. Huset ligger så tæt på vandet, at det fra haven er lige langt - om man vil gå ud at bade eller gå indenfor i huset. Der er god mulighed for også at finde skygge i haven - træer, buske og stor, overdækket havepavillon. Mest lokale gæster i området og hyggelig lille strandtaverne lige i nabolaget. Ca. 5 kilometer til indkøb. Udlejer tilbyder at hjælpe med morgen- og aftensmad, hvilket vi benyttede os af nogle gange. Udlejers mousaka kan klart anbefales! Værelser/senge af lidt forskellig standard. Fin rengøring. Vi har besøgt stedet med 2 familier bestående af 14 personer i alderen 19-55 år. Alle rejsedeltagerne har haft en god oplevelse af stedet.

Das perfekte Ferienhaus

Zehn Jahre machen wir (vierköpfige Familie) schon Urlaub in Griechenland, und das Strandhaus Mamidaki war definitiv das beste Haus in dieser Zeit. Zum ersten mal haben wir uns entschieden den nächsten Urlaub in dem selben Ort zu machen. Weshalb? Als erstes kommt die Nähe zu dem wunderschönen Strand, der keine 5 meter vom Haus entfernt ist. Dann die wunderschöne Gartenanlage, die keine Wünsche offen lässt mit vielen schönen Sitzmöglickeiten und einem grossen Grill. Dazu kommen Zimmer die PERFEKT sauber und einwandfrei waren mit gemütlilchen Betten, regelmäsig gewechselten Handtüchern und Bettwäsche und ebenfalls schönen Badezimmern. Der Eigentümer war die Verkörperung Griechischer Gastfreundschaft, und war für alles was wir brauchten immer für uns da. Alles in allem, wunderbar!

Wonderful beachfront property, friendly owner, and lovely gated garden

What a pleasant surprise! We booked two apartments on this property last-minute, which had no prior reviews, for two families from NY. The apartments we stayed in were new and never rented. The local beach is 5 yards from the garden gate . The owner was very friendly and knowledgeable about nearby Volos and local dining. The neighborhood had nearly no tourists, and it was nice to experience genuine Greek hospitality. Don't miss visiting Makrenitsa village, high above Volos in the Pelion Mountain. Next door to the house is a restaurant the serves souvlaki for 2 Euros, and in Volos, you can book a sailboat with a skipper for 250Euros/day. A wonderful family getaway! Alex D. White Plains, NY
