Welcome to Windcrest Loft! If you’re looking for a homey place to stay while visiting the mountains, this is it! Kids and pets are welcome too. Centrally located, within minutes to shops and restaurants in Dillsboro and Sylva, 10 mins to WCU and 20 to Franklin, Bryson City & Waynesville. Convenient Tuckasegee river access across the street and close to many hiking spots! When not touring the area, relax outdoors and enjoy the antics of our resident goats, donkeys, geese and chickens.

Beautiful place to stay and relax

We stayed here for our honeymoon. We enjoyed the beauty of the NC. The cabin was cozy and comfortable. It was very clean and had all the extras we needed. There are so many things to do in the area. Thanks for allowing us to spend our honeymoon in your cabin

Absolutely charming loft with everything we needed for a few nights away! The owners communicated well with us before our stay and were there if needed, but allowed us our privacy. All kinds of cool towns and great food super close! Highly recommend this location to anyone!!!

Adorable cottage

Clean, comfortable cottage super close to Western Carolina University. Was the perfect place to stay for a college visit! We will definitely be back!

Dillsboro cottage

I had a wonderful stay in this sweet little cottage. It had everything I needed, including goats, chickens and donkeys right out my front door!

Very cozy and comfy, peaceful location. Host was kind and informative, and let us meet and pet the resident goats, chickens,geese, and farmcat. We were in town for one night only, but enjoyed our stay. Would definitely recommend.

Quiet and Quaint

We loved everything about this property. It was perfect for our overnight stay. Everything was very clean and smelled really good. The location was perfect. We were very close to down town Dillsboro and were able to hit some of the shops and have dinner. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you for an awesome stay!

Perfect Fall Trip

My husband and I stayed for three nights at this perfect place. The Loft was perfect before we ever walked in. Beautiful flowers were blooming outside the door and a pumpkin was on the front steps. The inside of the Loft was so cozy and clean. The furnishing were very nice and the bed was very comfortable. The artwork in the walls was so pretty. We had everything we needed for our stay. The animals were so welcoming and we loved spending time with the chickens, geese and goats. Tessa was so kind and even told us that we could check out later since no other guests were checking in the next day. I can see why this place got a 5 Star rating. It was absolutely perfect. We will definitely be making a return trip. Thank you Tessa for kind your hospitality.

The accommodations were as described and worked well for attending a weekend wedding. It would be great if there were a trail to walk to town from the loft.

Quick little getaway

We had an amazing time and it was just 2 hours away from the house. Quiet atmosphere and plenty of friendly animals to put a smile in your face.

Lovely Little Cabin

We had a wonderful stay in the Dillsboro cabin/loft. My kids love the friendly farm animals. Our hosts were perfectly hospitable and even spent a while talking with the kids about all of the animals. Downtown Dillsboro is within walking distance, downtown Sylva is a 5-10 minute drive, and if you like fishing like my son, there is a river that is about a 3 minute walk away.

Cozy cottage- very cute and comfortable!

A very pleasant time. Cottage is cozy and well kept, close to downtown Dillsboro. Check in was easy. Interesting fact: 1993 Movie “The Fugitive” was filmed half mile away and the bus/train wreckage is still there to view. Super cool!

Welcome to our loft!
We recently moved to the area to be closer to family and because of how beautiful it is. We love hiking and getting outside so this seemed this area is perfect for us! I used to be a zookeeper and now am starting a new path since moving. My Husband Matt is also in the animal field and works locally.
We have a lot of pets so were lucky to be able to buy this little farm and call it home. We are both very friendly people and are happy to chat with guests but will absolutely give 100% privacy unless otherwise requested.

We got extremely lucky to purchase this home. We always wanted a little land for our animals and to be in the mountains. We got that and more along with this wonderful rental space that the previous owners so careful created. We are very happy to continue to host travelers at this wonderful spot.
