We love the Golden Sands and would recommend it!

We had the space we needed for the family and the decor was perfect for the beach. Online booking and check-out was a breeze. And the amenities on the back deck can't be beat!

Nice Condo

Condo is very well maintained. Furniture was comfortable, kitchen was very modern and loved the lighting in the kitchen as well. Bedrooms were spacious and bathrooms were very clean. Would highly recommend this unit and look forward to staying in this unit again.

Great stay

We had a great stay, the views of the ocean were gorgeous, the location was great; close by to restaurants and activities, a family friendly area. The home was clean and comfortable. Would come back again.

Absolutely beautiful view of both ocean and bay from this unit.

Communication prior to check-in and ease of entry for check-in were clear and concise. The views were breathtaking of the ocean and bay from this unit. Love that the entry storm door was full glass to optimize the views. Really appreciated the condo providing a Keurig for coffee making anytime of day. The andirondack chair set on balcony was super comfortable and allowed for quiet coffee moments while watching the waves. Thank you for sharing this hidden gem location with our family.

Perfect Long Weekend

The view was amazing!! Loved the location for our annual winter weekend to see the lights at the park and ice skate at the carousel. Nice updates, it was clean, and had everything we needed. Indoor pool, gym, and game room were a nice addition. Could have used more/better bedding but other than that we thought it was a nice place.

The place was nice. Everything was clean except the fans in bedrooms & bathroom seemed like they were not cleaned all summer. The sofa was was uncomfortable & dirty. Kitchen was well stocked.

Fantastic vacation

Golden sands is my favorite property to stay at when in OC. Love the tiki bar, pool deck entertainment, large outdoor pool, and unbelievable views!!

Nice place but...

...there was hair everywhere! The hall bathroom had a ton hair in the tub. The master bathroom had hair along with the sheets that were on the bed. There were false eye lashes on the living room rug. Was this place even cleaned before we arrived?!

Not suitable for elderly and handicapped

Beautiful view’s and apartment was very nice but furniture was not supported for elderly people sofa was too wide and low to the floor and no suitable recliner chairs to relax in and the bed was not comfortable wasn’t level head was lower than feet and created breathing problems they need to have more high firm furniture for elderly to be able to sit and get up out of easily

New Golden Sands Rules

Good Morning We just left our vacation and room 1407 was great The room was fine we rented the same room last year. The room this year was fine but the amount of sand on the floor was disgusting you could of built a sand castle with the amount of that was on the floor and rugs The new rules on the deck were horrible. The security guards walking around in a circle bothering us and other people was not needed. The secure guards touching items at the table asking to go through our coolers was an invasion. The one guard with leather gloves thinking he was a cop was very unsettling. He walked up to us asking us what we were drinking. I spent on average $100 a day at the tiki bar. The new 11pm rule to leave the pool deck was ridiculous. I can understand if people were loud and out of control but all we were doing was sitting there enjoying the weather and our vacation. We even got interrogated while walking to the because to hang out. We come to golden sands because of the large pool deck and how nice it is to sit down there and talk to our family on our annual vacation. I hope things are better next year and this 11pm rule is re thought because it’s nice not to have a curfew while on vacation

Very available and helpful with questions. I give the building maintenance 5/5 stars for prompt repair of a small maintenance issue. I give the AAA Linen Service 4/5 stars. Perfect view from updated unit

It is difficult to beat the 14th floor straight-on view of the ocean from this unit, especially the floor to ceiling views in the master bedroom! The furnishings were relatively comfortable and the beachy decor and color scheme was nice (furnishings have been updated since Vacasa photos). The nicely updated bathrooms and kitchen were a bonus as well. All in all I would consider this a great unit. While not right on the boardwalk area, there are plenty of good restaurants and shops in the area and the boardwalk is only about a 10-minute drive away. The minor areas that need improvement that would elevate this to a 5-star room: 1) A couple more large bath towels as well as providing towels for beach/pool are needed. 2) A couple of the frying pans were in rough condition and should be replaced. 3) The patio screen is difficult to slide. 4) The dead-bolt was frequently difficult to lock/unlock - repair/replacement is badly needed. 5) There were no coat of clothing hangers in the closet - needed in chilly off-season! 6) Xfinity TV channels are only available in main living area. That said, we (family of 4) would definitely choose this unit again if we return to the area.
