Find sweet respite right on the bank of Cherry Creek Cove at this fantastic McHenry retreat! This spacious home will be just the place to bring the whole family, as the open floor plan boasts a beautiful double-sided stone fireplace in the ample living room and den, large windows, and a fully equipped kitchen that is more than ready to assist in memorable family dinners. Add that to the furnished deck with a hot tub and double-tiered balcony and you’ll find it hard to decide whether you want to relax inside or out. Enjoy a CARC Membership with access to a pool, hot tubs, and gym area.

The main level will be the hub for entertaining, as two living areas, beamed ceilings, plenty of seating for sharing meals, and two bedrooms each with its own flat-screen TV will allow everyone to mingle and spread out. If the young at heart still want to get a bit of energy out, the lower level of the home features an air hockey table and a flatscreen TV. When it is time to hit the hay, three bedrooms including the impressive primary suite complete with a private balcony await on the upper level!

Parking notes: There is free parking available for 5 vehicles.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Comfortable Stay

The home was very comfortable to stay in, nicely updated and the layout was perfect for us to spread out. The listing had a christmas tree in the photos so my kids were disappointed there was not a tree in the house. One of the front doors to the house does not lock so that made us a little uneasy at first.

Nice but could have been better

The property is listed by Vacasa on VRBO; you CANNOT communicate w. owner! We felt like we lost some of our privacy due to the arrival of the boat owner & unexpected hot tub tech. We were not able to access the property on time and could not use the hot tub for the entire duration of our short stay. The ultimate experience could have been better. The house was immaculate inside and cleaned by just one person! Amazing. The home is nicely decorated, loved the windows and the amount of light. The beds are comfortable, with lots of blankets and extra pillows. The bathrooms are nice too. There appeared to be a miscommunication between Vacasa & cleaner about our arrival date. We arrived & the cleaner was still in process, didn't expect us til the next day, & needed an hour to finish. This was frustrating-we arrived @ 4 pm ready to unpack & prep for a dinner res. w/out rushing. Vacasa said firewood & hairdryers are not provided, but both are on-site. There are 2 coffee makers: Keurig & Mr. Coffee w. a cone filter. The musty-smelling basement is supposed to be an additional sleeping area/game room. Due to smell, none of us went down there, let alone used the sleeper sofa! We paid the hot tub fee; but on the last day of a short trip, the hot tub tech came, took almost 2 hours servicing the tub & replaced such a significant amount of water that it took more than 6 hrs. to reheat! We lost the last day of use! Very disappointing. Boat slip is rented & railing is loose at doc.

Perfect place for multiple families with kids!

We had 3 families, 6 adults and 6 kids, and this house was just the right size, giving us enough space to feel like we weren’t on too of each other. The kids enjoyed playing air hockey in the basement, and the adults had their space upstairs, but still be within earshot of the kids. Our only complaint was it was hard to adjust the heat in the main living space, it never seemed to be warm enough, but other than that we would definitely stay here again! It was clean, beds were comfy and the kitchen was nice and spacious and it had enough seating for our large group to eat a meal together!

Misty Mountain Epic Adventure

Misty Mountain Lodge was the perfect setting for our Bachelor Party Epic Adventure. The Lodge absolutely delivered everything as advertised. Plenty of privacy in a secluded setting with direct access to the lake and a dedicated floating dock that was used several times on float boat day. Convenient location to everything in the area whether by lake or land. Loved the outdoor space, back deck, hot tub, and elevated fire pit. Wide open floor plan inside, tastefully appointed and comfortable. The kitchen was especially impressive and well equipped too! Real first class accommodations. The only downer was an issue that prevented us from initially using the hot tub. However, the customer service response was immediate and the problem was resolved the next day... thoroughly enjoyed on the final night of our stay. Great place, highly recommended...would definitely return to MML for another stay at DCL

Family vacation

We loved this house! It is actually better in reality than in photos and that is not usually the case! Plenty of room and spaces for when we all wanted to be together or just have some quiet time. Well cared for. Good location, too. Quick drive to restaurants, shops and parks but far enough away to have the peace and tranquility of the lake.
