House on Guist Creek Lake near the Bulleit Distilling Co. This 3 bedroom/2 bath house has all the benefits of enjoying the lake, traveling KY’s Bourbon Trail, or relaxing at a peaceful getaway. Three furnished bedrooms- a king, a queen, and two twin beds. The kitchen is fully furnished. Den offers a beautiful picture window for you to enjoy lake view. Patio w/table + chairs on a lighted porch. 2 Kayaks available in season (May - Sept). Must let me know two weeks prior to check in if you plan on using the kayaks.

Great Bourbon Trail House!

We enjoyed our stay at the house very much. The location was perfectly centralized to all the distilleries we visited, and you can’t beat the view of the creek! The house has everything you could need and Emily was super responsive when our very few questions arose. The outdoor space was beautiful and the fire pit was an awesome feature. Highly recommend booking this house for your stay.

In the middle of it all!!!

We came to Kentucky for a music festival in Louisville, but spent as much time doing that as touring the parks and distilleries in the area. The house was very well furnished and clean, with great views!

Excellent choice for the Bourbon Trail!!

Really no true negatives here! The host was excellent at communicating when we had very minor concerns. She truly thought of every little detail for amenities. The house is well stocked. The weather and bright street lights were certainly not in her control! Bring an eye mask if you're drmsitivrcontrol!

Relaxed visit

My sister and I had a relaxed visit here. The only problem was the master bedroom. There was a scent on the sheets that was a little overwhelming. It kept my sister awake the first night, so we switched rooms and I was awake the second night. We both ended up in the bedroom that had twin beds. Other than that, the place was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the view of the lake from the family room.

Trip for KY Ren Faire

Wonderful home and property, with a beautiful view and close to the KY Renaissance Faire. The home was very clean and well stocked and had a great layout. The owner was very responsive and communicative with us, which was wonderful. I would definitely recommend this property and owner and we look forward to returning in the future.

Awesome stay

Comfortable clean spacious home with great ammenities, lakeview and wildlife. Excellent communication with Emily the host. Convenient to distilleries and Louisville. Would not hesitate to book again.

Peaceful backyard

We enjoyed our stay at the Bass and Bourbon house. There was plenty of room for our group of 6. The backyard space was our favorite. Even though the home is in a neighborhood, the backyard was secluded. We enjoyed watching the boats on the lake. The house was very clean. Amenities such as soap, shampoo, charging stations were appreciated. Beds were comfortable.

Rural Bliss

Initially, we didn’t realize how far the property was from downtown Louisville, but this became a non-issue as we discovered the charms of Shelbyville. In addition to two nearby distilleries, the town offered great dining options. The Farm for breakfast is a MUST. The property lived up to its advertisement and was very comfortable. We wish that we had more time to enjoy the yard and the lake. The host was very responsive to issues that we raised, which were very few. I highly recommend this property.

Cozy and Spacious

Comfy beds, clean bathrooms and showers, a great backyard with a fire pit, two kayaks, and direct access to the lake. Located around the corner from the Bulleit Distillery. Would highly recommended!

Excellent Stay

Best stay we had at VRBO. Clean beyond belief and large amount of supplies such as garbage bags was great. Highly recommend.

Great place to stay

The beautiful view of the lake from the living room made this a very pleasant place to stay while on the bourbon trail. Located almost exactly between Louisville and Frankfort made this an ideal home base. Nice clean place, with comfortable beds and a quiet neighborhood. What more can you ask for?

Get together with some friends.

Great place for a peaceful get together woth friends. Not far from many different things and experiences. The only issue we ran into was that the AC was not cooling the house. It was cooler than outside but 78 degrees is warmer than we would have liked. The host was very prompt with their responses and did a nice job taking care of us.

Basking in Bourbon

Emily has a very comfortable and convenient home. It was perfect for 2 couples. Enjoyed the deck and view. Living area was very nice. Beds were great. The home is clean. Distilleries were easy to get to. If you go out to eat try Claudia Sanders (the Colonel's wife). Delicous food and salad bar. And of course fried chicken. If you're looking for bourbon in a less crowded setting this is your place.

Wonderful House!

We were in KY for the annual Pisgah Farms & Furlongs 13.1 & 10K in Versailles. We have a younger boy who likes a lot of space to run, etc. and this house was perfect! They let us use the two kayaks which was amazing. Downtown Shelbyville is only 10 minutes away from the house and it’s so sweet - Great sandwich shops and coffee! The house was very, very clean and the owners really made an effort to welcome each guest - there were extra nice touches offered, like nice smelling soaps, spa-type shampoos, and coffee. We would definitely recommend this house! Thank you for a wonderful stay and great memories!

Shelbyville

This is the cutest house. So cozy and warm. Lots of space and have the back deck to sit outside and look at the lake is very very nice. But the best part of this house is the beds. The mattresses were so incredibly comfortable. We would come back just to sleep in those beds. Emily was extremely responsive and very helpful. I will share this listing with family and friends

Great Experience!

The place was charming and just as expected! What a great deck overlooking Guist Creek Lake. It was centrally located for all the distilleries we visited. Emily was responsive and the check in process was great. Would definitely stay here again when we come back.

Great place to stay and view

Absolutely a great place to stay. Close to a lot. Centrally located for the bourbon trail. Only 30-40 mins from all the good ones. Owner answered all the questions and the area was nice. The view of the lake/river was very beautiful. Plenty of room for everyone. The deck allowed for great views and comfortable chairs. Grill worked good but could use a cleaning. Beds we’re comfortable and clean. One minor thing prob not in the owners control was the street light was very bright and shined directly into our rooms. Would recommend some other hanging curtains that would help block that out. Kitchen was stocked well with Plates, pots, pans and lots of cups. Spices, sugar, salt, oil, olive oil spray and even some flour. We left some syrup. Lots of magazines with info on the local area. Smart TV worked good and we hooked up to our Netflix. Wi-Fi worked great. Would stay here again with out hesitation.

We love the Lakeview from this house. The large picture window showcasing the Lakeview is so calming and beautiful. It is one of my favorite characteristics of this house. Morning coffee on the leather couches while enjoying the view is my favorite thing to do when we stay here.
