Come visit us at Hickory Hideaway nestled in the mountains of Southern West Virginia! Conveniently located within 15 minutes of many of the WV adventures. New River Gorge National Park, Summersville Lake, Hawks Nest & Babcock State Parks, Carnifex Ferry Battlefield and Winterplace Ski Resort. Offering whitewater rafting, hiking, mountain biking, rock climbing, boating, skiing, fishing, hunting and more! If you are looking for adventure or a relaxing stay, we have it all! We are located in Mount Lookout, WV. The property is located 2 miles off of US Route 19, less than an hour from I-79, I-64 and I-77. Cabin sleeps up to 8. Rates are based on 4 guests, there is an additional guest fee per night for bookings with over 4 guests that you will see when checking out. The cabin is secluded on 2 acres on Meadow River Farms, with nice yard and forest cover. Spacious back porch with 6 person spa and sitting area. Master bedroom has a king size bed, 2nd bedroom has a queen size bed and 3rd bedroom has 2 double beds. Master bath has walk in tile shower, 2nd bathroom has tub/shower combo unit. Great room with electric fireplace and picnic table dining area. Spacious kitchen with island for social activities. Washer and dryer and other accommodations. We are pet friendly however we must be notified and approve the pet as you are booking your stay. There is a pet deposit of $40 that you will see when checking out. There is a Dollar General conveniently located within 2 miles. Check out is at 11:00 am unless we have approved a late check out. Checking out late will without prior approval will result in a double cleaning fee. Be sure to check out our discount for week long stays!

The host was so amazing, got back with us almost immediately answering every question perfectly. Absolutely loved the cabin, Location could not have been better. I absolutely loved every aspect of the stay, and absolutely will be booking the same cabin again probably next year.

Very nice property. Cute decorations. We had a few fires at the fire pit, nice wooded area right behind it with lots of deer activity. Comfortable beds. Real close to Summersville Lake. Host was very friendly and super easy to get a hold of.

We had a fun weekend at this location. The cabin was clean and in great condition. The outdoor spaces are really nice and private. The hosts were very friendly and easy to communicate with.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit! The cabin was immaculately clean, very well appointed and exceeded our expectations. We loved the outdoor grilling/firepit area as well. The host was super communicative and easy to work with. The house is secluded enough that you have privacy, but close enough to local attractions that its still convenient! We will definitely stay here again and will recommend to others.

We had a great weekend! Girls trip with the 5 of us. Plenty of space for everyone, well equipped kitchen, outdoor space and hot tub. Our only complaint is the table in the house. Although picnic style may look cute it is not at all comfortable to sit at to play cards and games. We all had sore hind-ends and backs! The table is fine but chairs with backs would be more comfortable!

Location was very calm and relaxing. Close to the gorge for the trail walks under the bridge and the waterfalls. The coffee place near by was spectacular. It was a very relaxing weekend getaway.

Great weekend in this peaceful paradise. This is the perfect spot if you just want to get away and enjoy some peace and quiet. Residence had everything I needed and the hot tub and fire pit make it a perfect retreat. If you want to get out and about; New River Gorge and Summersville are both close by. I will definitely be back!

The great room provides a large area for families to gather and enjoy away time together. From custom painted corn hole boards with area attractions to an outdoor fire pit with chairs, you will feel right home staying with us. You can watch the deer and squirrels in the backyard from the hot tub as you enjoy sitting on the spacious back deck. It is centrally located on a 2 acre lot surrounded by trees.
