Unique Coastal Maine Flower Farm Stay

Unfortunately, this was a very unsuitable guest for our farm stay. I made multiple attempts to communicate with them and they were unwilling to respond. They were wholly unsuited for a farm, did not follow farm rules and now after refusing to comply have left a fallacious review based on lies. This stay is a working farm stay. There are NO holes in the farm stay apartment. There are acres of organic gardens and pollinators here. If the guest had followed the rules, he and his children would not have left doors and windows open that allow natural visitors to enter the space. The listing clearly states that the stay is above a floral studio and the open cathedral. Additionally, this guest never communicated with me about anything during their brief one evening stay, even though I told them to communicate with me about any needs they might have. We are an organic working farm and not a golf course, we grow gardens for the enjoyment of wildlife and people. There is no trash in front of the store, we were working the day the guest arrived and were moving crates of flowers for an event. There is no way to access locks from other rooms. And, yes there was a fresh trash bag for this guest, who had multiple children at the stay. I do the cleaning and set up myself. I sensed right away that this guest was unsuitable upon their arrival and offered them to cancel and go somewhere else. it's unfortunate that instead of making that choice they now chose to lie because of their unsuitability for the setting.

I am disappointed to find a four star review by this guest that came to our farm stay, she clearly wasn’t looking to stay at a working farm. I personally, invested a significant amount of time in facilitating an excellent farm experience. This is a working farm, of course, in a rural area, but not remote at all. We are 15 minutes from the coast. We are 15 minutes from Belfast and 20 minutes from Camden on the Midcoast of Maine. I personally spent hours welcoming these guests, providing personally suited recommendations for their stay and taking time off from work to give them tours of our farm so that they would have a meaningful experience.
