Welcome to our lakefront retreat, nestled between the quaint towns of Hancock and Deposit. Perfect for families seeking a peaceful getaway, our charming home offers all the comforts you need for a relaxing stay. We have an exciting new addition that will surely enhance your experience - say hello to our delightful resident goats! Meet our lovely momma goat and her two adorable babies, adding an extra layer of charm to your lakeside retreat.

Enjoy free access to our kayaks and rowboat and free high-speed wifi. Our fully stocked kitchen, complete with a Keurig machine, allows you to prepare delicious meals with ease. Relax on one of our two large decks furnished with comfortable seating or cast a line right off the deck for a leisurely fishing session.

Other amenities include free parking, fully stocked bathrooms, free laundry, a private dock for sunbathing and star-gazing, and a smart TV for cozy movie nights.

Great little get away on a nice clean lake. Everything we needed was in the house except the kitchen needed a few essentials for preparation and serving meals (grill utensils, large bowls, baking sheets). The host offered an excellent selection of teas and coffee pods. Bring a float or a paddle board for the lake. House has one kayak and one Rowboat with oars, no anchor or motor.

Very clean. Right on the lake. Safe. Had everything we needed. I would have liked nightlights in the bathrooms because it was very dark and we didn’t want to leave the lights on. Communication was instant. The goats were cute. It wasn’t high end, but it was very comfortable.

We all had such a great stay at this lake house! The house was clean, comfortable and spacious for the 7 of us. My nephew graduated from college and the whole family wanted to be there so we decided to rent this house. Everyone was impressed with it and loved it. The amenities were all perfect for a family stay. Tons of board games, video games, lounge spaces and an amazing deck with just about the most picturesque view. Anthony was a very responsive, helpful and accommodating host. The coffee and tea selection were top notch. We are already talking about renting it again next year! A high recommend.

Relaxing Haven

The house was a great size. The decks overlooking the water were perfect for watching kiddos swimming and playing. The water was calm, clean, and the perfect temperature. This is an ideal spot to get away from it all!

Peaceful and perfect stay

This was the second visit for our group of four decades-long women friends, and we were just as pleased with our stay as the last time. The house was very clean, the location on the water lovely to both look at and kayak on, and our host was super responsive to questions. Highly recommend!

Great Stay on the Lake

Wonderful house, just as described, with access to a lake that is clean, beautiful, and perfect for swimming, boating, and fishing. The goats across the street are a fun plus. We loved using the boat and kayaks, and brought some of our own floats as well. A nice retreat.

This lake house is perfect for a family getaway. We came with our two teenagers for a full week and had an amazing time. The house is directly on the lake, with the deck sitting over the water so you can sit and have coffee in the morning looking over the lake (often with a nice morning fog in the summer). The bedrooms are a good size, there is plenty of air conditioning if it gets warm, the living room and kitchen are also a good size and well-furnished. There is a to. Of hot water, a fire pit with wood, starters, and a lighter. Also a grill with charcoal to grill at night. The owner (Anthony) and his property manager (Beth, who lives nearby) are AMAZING. We actually had a power outage on our first night due to a local tornado. Anthony immediately contacted me and Beth came over to get out and start the whole-house generator. Because of the damage nearby from the storm, it took two days to get power back - but Beth came over regularly to refill the generator so we never lost power. Anthony also kept in close touch (the WiFi is excellent) and made sure we were always ok. I cannot stress enough how great the communication with Anthony and Beth were. The lake is great - quiet all week, we rowed the rowboat and kayak around, swam, etc. Nearby towns are close and have options for meals if you don’t want to cook one night. Oh - our dog also loved the lake!Highly recommend if you want a weekend or a few days at a quiet lake house!

Cozy weekend getaway

My family and I spent the Memorial Day weekend at this charming lake house! The location is perfect, offering serene and picturesque views of the lake. We spent our days fishing and were thrilled with the abundance of fish we caught. Highly recommend for anyone looking to unwind and enjoy some fantastic fishing!

The lake is beautiful and provides activities, the goats are very cute, the house was clean and comfortable, with A/C, plenty of hot water and water pressure for showers, and space for our things. Just what we wanted for a family long weekend with 3 generations. The owners were very responsive. The deck is in desperate need of a coat of paint and some other maintenance though - hopefully the owners can do some upkeep on the outdoor space soon.

Overall, was a very nice stay. Weather was partially cooperative. Ambience was disturbed by neighbors and loud ATVs unfortunately most of Saturday. Lake temp was great. Extremely chill, practically had the lake to ourselves. Almost no one was out despite being in the middle/end of July.

Very nice house, location and owner. Almost everything was provided for, and the location right on the lake is superb. The view was like a Bob Ross painting. Will be back!

Wonderful experience

The owner was extremely accommodating to everything. The lake was beautiful and the house was well kept and very cozy. Most definitely will be coming back

Girls Reunion Weekend!!

Wonderful time at this location! Perfect deck to sit by the lake on a gorgeous fall weekend & catch up with friends. Home was clean & perfect size for the 4 of us to eat, drink & talk & talk & talk!!!

Lake view getaway

My family and I needed a getaway after the holidays and we found the right spot. We definitely enjoyed our time relaxing by the lake. The home was spacious and clean. Communication with the owner was a great, with quick response to our questions. I will recommend this home to others.

Fantastic lake getaway

The house is spotless and on a beautiful small lake. We swam and used the rowboat. A great supermarket is close by. We do VRBO all the time and we would come back to this house. It was awesome. Oh and we went on an awesome hike in Binghamton and had a delicious dinner at River Run.

Awesome place and location.

Property was very clean. We like that. The lake has Large Mouth Bass. We had fun fishing. Happy we had firewood and a place to pitch a Fire. The Row boat was fun. It was a short trip but we enjoyed our stay and would rent this place again. Thank you!

Charming lakehouse getaway

Anthony’s house at Silver Lake was perfect for our family getaway. We enjoyed fishing from the dock, relaxing on the deck, and sitting around the firepit once the sun went down. There is plenty of small-town charm in Deposit and Hancock, where we found the dining options to be just right. Even when the weather didn’t cooperate, the indoor space was great for cozy family time while still providing a great view of the lake. Thanks Anthony!

Relaxing

Comfortable, hospitable. My brother’s two teen granddaughters stayed with us one night. We enjoyed the decks, the kayak, grilling, dining on the lower deck, having two bathrooms, the fire pit one night, lovely walks around the lake with the dog and more. It is just what we needed. Thank you.
