When you get exactly what you're looking for, then you've set the foundation for a great vacation! This Black Hills vacation rental is a real log cabin with beautiful views, nestled in the trees and close to the many outdoor activities in the area. This is the perfect vacation cabin! With a large deck off the back, BBQ Grill, private, outdoor Hot Tub and gorgeous views, you may never leave!

This wonderful home has 4 Sleeping Areas and 2 full baths (shower/tub combos) with a full kitchen, large dining table, washer & dryer, wood burning fireplace on the main level and gas fireplace on the lower level.

The main level has 2 bedrooms with queen-size beds, a flat-screen TV in the Master bedroom, spacious living area open to the kitchen and dining area and a walk-out to the deck. The loft has 2 full-size futons for more sleeping space and a TV with DVD Player. The lower level is a large family suite with a queen size bed and 2 more futons.

The lower level family suite is almost a cabin by itself! Decorated in beautiful, earthy cabin tones, with an air hockey table, a gas fireplace with stack stone and slate hearth, TV with Blue-Ray DVD player, Ping-pong table and Air-hockey machine, tongue and groove ceiling, large log beams, plush carpet, and full bathroom.

The upstairs loft has another TV, DVD Player, foosball table and 2 futons - this is a great "kid-friendly" area!

This cabin really has wonderful spaces for everyone in the family with a cozy, rustic charm. The large fireplace in the living room and log structure make it a true home-away-from-home. It is located on Terry Peak Ski Area, just minutes from the slopes, 8 miles from Deadwood and 20 miles from Sturgis. Parking pad for 2 large vehicles.

*4-wheel drive or all wheel drive recommended for winter driving conditions*
*No-Air Conditioning but it is at an elevation over 6200 ft so it cools off nicely in the evenings.

Great place.

Great place with plenty to do! Only dissapointment was the nice view off the back porch had nowhere to sit. The property was provided with cheap plastic chairs that were all broken.

Overall, a great stay!

The cabin is beautiful, as is the area! We did have a young baby with us and he is at the crawling stage. He did find several things on the carpet in the basement that hadn’t been vacuumed up from previous renters. The shower liner in the upstairs bathroom also had some mold, so maybe a more thorough cleaning between renters would be a good idea. But, overall a great property and we would return!

Wonderful stay

Deer Haven was a great place for us to stay (4 Adults). Great location for riding our side by sides, close to Lead and Deadwood. The house has everything we needed to complete our stay. We would return to stay here!

Great place

A little more off the beaten path than I expected, but it was a great place, especially for the price. I never saw mention that there was no A/C in the listing, but we didn't really need it at night

Weekend getaway

Went to deadwood with a group of guys on a boys trip! The cabin is perfect for just that with loads of places to sleep and a great hot tub! The only few things I would have liked is AC, WiFi, and a bit of a yard space. Overall those were the least of my concern as we had a great time!

Our family had a great time staying at this property. The kids loved the air hockey table and there were many games of Ping-Pong and Monopoly played. The hot tub was great also!

Family getaway

We rented for a four night stay to spend some quality family time together. So much to do and nice to come back to a comfortable cabin to relax. Very clean and felt right at home.

Clean Cabin

Our stay at this cabin was great! Location was what we expected, being a bit of a drive to the stuff we planned on doing. Sleeping arrangements worked out nice with the layout. Lots of games and things to do at the cabin. We were very worried about no air conditioning but the breeze and fans were sufficient in 80 degree weather. The dryer is not the best which would be our only complaint and it’s minimal. Cleanliness was a huge factor for us and it was very clean!! We would highly recommend!

Deer Haven Lodge

Spent 3 nights here for a friends bachelor party. It was a great getaway and place to stay. It had plenty of areas for everyone to sleep and worked perfect for what we needed it for. Excellent location being only a 15 minute drive from Deadwood. Only downfall would of been able to use Lyft instead of the local taxi, but not enough of a reason to not ever stay there again. I would recommend this cabin to anyone.

Awesome place to enjoy the Black Hills!

Beautiful home and property. Very comfortable furnishings and we loved the open design. The chilly start of fall was perfect for enjoying a fire and also sipping wine in the hot tub. We thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend and would definitely rent this property again.

Great refuge in the woods

This was a great spot for our 2 family vacation with 8 people. Kids loved air hockey/ping pong/foosball. Adults enjoyed the great open kitchen, living space, hot tub. Clean and well equipped as advertised. Simple directions from manager made the property very easy to access. Great stay!

Family Vacation 2019

Everything about this home was just as described. The pictures were great as the house was well thought out and made you feel at home as soon as you arrived. We had three families with two young children, 9 and 6. The air hockey and ping pong were great for extra entertainment, for both young and old. It was great to have a washer and dryer as well. The hot tub was a hit as the nights were still cold. Don't miss your chance to stay at Deer Haven Lodge.

Beautiful views, comfortable home and great sights!

Spent a week and had such a relaxing, great time. Some of the weather had us staying indoors and couldn’t have been more fun with all the options avaible at the house. Would recommend and certainly would rent again!
