Very nice cabin inside..

The cabin is beautiful inside, very clean and very comfortable. The outside amenities need repairs/yard maintenance around which the owner has let me know will be done in the near future.

The Perfect Hallmark Christmas Cabin

We loved everything about this cabin. The views were amazing. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. The cabin was perfectly decorated for Christmas down to the last detail. It felt like we were in a Hallmark Christmas movie. Every room including the bathrooms has little Christmas touches. Any hiccups we experienced were taken care of immediately. We would definitely stay here again especially around Christmas!

10th Anniversary

We were honeymooners the first time we stayed at House of Krauss. You cannot beat this cabin for a romantic couples vacation. Maybe share with another couple. There is room for kids, but we are glad we didn’t have to share. Private hot tub under the stars and a fire pit.

Wedding weekend

Wonderful weekend getaway

We enjoyed every second of our stay in this gorgeous cabin! Views are absolutely spectacular! We could spend all day sitting in the rocking chairs just staring at the mountains. The cabin is beautifully decorated and very well appointed! We grilled out both nights and spent our evenings around the fire pit enjoying a glass of wine, gorgeous sunsets and then gazing at the magnificent stars after dark. Thank you for sharing your little piece of heaven with us! We love your beautiful home and hope to come back one day soon!!

Great Place!!

This house is easy to get to from the Main Rd in Hiawassee. The road to the house was paved, steep but short. You get use to it after the first time. Great view, you can even see Brasstown Bald! Plenty of room, kitchen well equipped, nice bathrooms. Comfortable beds, with views from each bedroom. Children loved the downstairs! Close to grocery stores, and fun outdoor activities.

Great cabin

Beautiful cabin with great views. Location was great and easy to get to. The hosts were awesome. Only problem we had was for those with bad backs – the beds really sag and and need replacing. The cabin is decorated beautifully with lots of attention to details, and hot tub was big and wonderful. Even had a “fairy garden” which our five year old absolutely loved. Lots of great hiking close by and close enough to Hiawassee to go into town when needed, but felt like you were far away. You won’t be disappointed with his cabin!

Perfect Holidays.

Always perfect. We love our stays here. This was our 3rd stay and already booked to come back. Mark and Suzanne are perfect hosts and they need to just come to my house and decorate it for me since everything is always decorated to feel like home.

Great stay

The home owner took great care of us and rectified the one issues we had. The home is beautiful and super cozy. The views are nice and we had the best time playing ping pong. All communication with the host was answered quickly. The town is nice with a lot hiking near by. The host recommended Enrico Italian Restaurant and Brother Restaurant, both were amazing. Very few restaurants in the town are open on Mondays!

Beautiful view and decor, updates needed for listing and furniture

This cabin has spectacular Mountain Views and we spent a lot of our time on the main balcony. Very private and secluded which was great. The hot tub has great views and is comfortably large. They also have a charcoal grill outside. Hosts were very communicative and responsive to questions and even offered a slightly early check-in time at our request which was much appreciated. Much of the furniture needs to be replaced or at the very least repaired: there are boards that are very loose on the backrest of most of the balcony chairs, the cushions on the same chairs need to be replaced, the rocking chair on the bottom floor porch is decomposing, all the bed mattresses we tried are worn out with deep indentations in them, most of the couches and arm chairs have tape on them or are scratched up and the cushions are very worn and saggy. We were really counting on using the gas fireplace but they recently replaced it with an electric one, which although it was pretty, it was a big disappointment as when we look for cabins a wood or gas fire place is a make or break feature for us. There were areas of the cabin that were not clean, the toilets all have a thick black ring of gunk just under the lip of the toilet. The downstairs shower had hair and grime near the lever that closes the drain. The carpet was dirty in sections along the walls & beds. Overall we enjoyed our stay, we would return again if they had a gas fireplace.

Mountain weekend

My husband and I had a great time!! Perfect for a family as the basement has fairs and lots of beds! Overall great house and we loved the little town!
