The view was just spectacular with autumn colors. Beautiful home and we liked the large king beds which were very comfortable. Also our host was very quick to reply to our messages. A stellar long weekend at wintergreen.

Just what the doctor ordered. Very peaceful and beautiful view. Bright place. Master bedroom on first floor was a bit warm but otherwise very comfortable!

A Great Stay, Cozy Home

We had a wonderful time and hope to come back. The home was very cozy and charming, excellent view, and had many amenities. It was exactly what we were looking for in a weekend getaway.

April Visit to Cozy Cottage

My wife and I enjpyed a 4-day visit to the Cozy Cottage. The cottage is an easy 2 hour drive from washington DC. Our host provided all the information we needed for out stay and was easily reachable. Great area for hiking.numpparksparks

Krista was amazing to communicate with. She was on top of everything, and when something unexpected happened she went out of her way to accommodate my husband and I. The cabin is *magical*. It is our favorite place we’ve ever stayed in Wintergreen. The fireplace, the big windows & sunlight, the well stocked kitchen, the VIEWS, and the space. Very clean, and obviously loved and well taken care of. We loved it, thank you for welcoming us into your home! It’s a treasure.

Great accommodations and location

Very close to the slopes. Beautiful views. Nicely decorated and comfortable. Well stocked kitchen, paper products, pantry basics. Comfy living spaces and thoughtful touches. Loved having the fireplace after a day on the slopes.

Charming Cozy Cottage

We visit Wintergreen at least once year, and this is the best property we've stayed in. Every detail is covered, from the bath towel warmer to the coffee pods. And you can't beat the sunsets. This is a great property, and the owner was a gem to work with. 10/10, we hope to return.

Beautiful home in a perfect location

This is my second stay in this beautiful home. The location at Wintergreen is wonderful, it is away from all the commotion at the top of the mountain. Beautiful scenery and gorgeous sunsets. The home has everything you will need for a wonderful stay. Fabulous hosts that can be contacted at any time. Should you need to, But you likely won’t need to because everything is available in the house.

Absolutely loved this beautiful home, it was cozy indeed, a beautiful view, comfortable furniture and beds, lots of extras I wasn’t expecting, and most of all great hosts. A few friends visited me as well and all remarked how nice the home is. I will be back. Thank you so very much!!

Quality family time in a beautiful setting

I lost my wife to cancer recently and the Cozy Cottage was the most perfect place to relax and connect with my three kids. The home is absolutely amazing with this most spectacular views. You'll never want to leave the deck! Everything is clean and organized and the kitchen had everything we needed for a few home cooked meals. Bedrooms were super comfy with lots of pillows. The master bathroom was great with a huge soaking tub and we all loved the towel warmer! My daughter said the was going to the spa! Couldn't have picked a more wonderful place for our family vacation. Krista was an excellent host and quickly responded to our questions. Thank you for the great hospitality!

Overall it was a good experience. However, there were spiders and bugs inside the house. The water pressure was very low for sinks and shower. The owner was quick to respond to messages.

We were surprised by the low rating, especially since you messaged us privately that the bugs were not a major concern. Because the home is located in the mountains, spiders or bugs can make their way inside despite our regular professional pest-control service. The lower water pressure was temporary and caused by maintenance being performed on the area’s main water source, which was outside our control. We appreciate your feedback and wish you all the best.

We had a rough start to our stay - when we arrived a pipe was spraying water inside the master bedroom's closet. Oddly, the internet (and cell service) was also down on the mountain, which led to a stressful time getting help. The hosts were very helpful in getting it fixed though and we got back into the house about 9pm. The plumber had to come back the next day, and we had damp carpets with fan and dehumidifier going the rest of the week. It was an unfortunate start, but other than that we really enjoyed the house. Cozy bedrooms, nice furnishings and decor, kitchen stocked with everything we needed, beautiful view. A few small things here and there with remote missing batteries, window cranks not working, but overall a great property. Our favorite parts of our vacation were hanging out at the house relaxing together. I just wish we hadn't had such a stressful beginning to our stay, though I know this wasn't the hosts' fault.

Perfect Thanksgiving Holiday at the Cozy Cabin

From the linens, comfy beds, wonderfully stocked kitchen to the outdoor and indoor fireplaces and location to wineries, breweries, distilleries and a creamery(!), it was the perfect place for our family (5) to gather and enjoy the Thanksgiving holiday! Even prepared a full Thanksgiving meal! Wouldn’t have changed a thing!! Will be back for sure.
