We took the whole family to celebrate our 40th anniversary and this house was fabulous!!! Anything you could want was very close by. We walked to the beach and spend a lot of time in the pool. We had 3 kids under the age of 4. Having the wagon to get our stuff to the beach was a blessing. The kitchen was amazing. Everything you could ask for and all the spices were a big plus. Owner was fantastic to work with. She was on top of all my questions and replies were very quick!!! I highly recommend this house for a great home away from home house stay. You won’t be disappointed.

From start to finish, our stay was perfect. We had 13 of us, ages 11-80, and felt there was more than enough room. The home is one of the most well-stocked rentals we’ve ever stayed in and every creature comfort has been considered. The pictures do not do the home justice! Beach-access path is literally across the street, the pool is even larger than it appears, lagoon views were lovely, and this side of Palmetto Dunes is incredibly peaceful. Karen was a great host - easy to communicate with and timely with her responses. We are already daydreaming about when we can return.

This was by far the best VRBO rental experience and house we have ever had. The house was beautiful and perfect for the needs of our family. We had 4 college/ grown children each with a friend and everyone was comfortable and plenty of space and all with their own bathroom. which is a huge plus. The house was incredibly well stocked with anything you could need and very easy quick walk to the beach. The pool was great for lazy afternoons and the kitchen was immaculate and had plenty of room for all 10 of us to gather while cooking and eating. The host was incredibly responsive and accommodating. We truly felt like we were at home during the stay. This house was incredibly clean and extremely well maintained. I would highly recommend this property for a large family looking for a relaxing fun time together. We hope to return soon!

Impeccable Property

139 Mooring Buoy was a wonderful property! The home had everything we needed and was in a great location! The host was easy to talk to but if we had questions she was quick to respond. We hope to have a chance to stay again in the future!

We had the best week at this property! The property is on the canal and our boys loved fishing off of the dock. The pool is large and the patio and screened in porch are beautifully laid out. There are pool towels and floats available for guests to use. The home is absolutely stunning with so much attention to detail. The bedrooms are all comfortable and nicely decorated. The bunk room with two full beds and two queens, is perfect for our boys. The host truly cares about her guests and went above and beyond to make our vacation perfect. She was super attentive and responsive. From the fully stocked kitchen, including cooking supplies, coffee, and even cleaning supplies for dishes and laundry, to the hand soap in each bathroom, to the beach wagon, beach chairs, and pool towels. Every detail made our trip a memorable one with the best host we’ve had yet to encounter! We would love to stay again!

Our stay at this home was absolutely exceptional from start to finish. The home itself is stunning—every room is thoughtfully curated with a detailed, beautiful design that blends comfort and elegance. From the cozy living spaces to the stylish bedrooms, no detail was overlooked. The kitchen was expansive and perfect for cooking family meals, and we loved the charming touches throughout—artwork, lighting, and furniture that made it feel like a true retreat.The location couldn’t be better—just across the street from beach access. We felt like we had the best of both worlds: the peace and quiet of a private home with a pool and the convenience of having the beach right at our doorstep.Finally, the owner was wonderful—attentive, responsive, and incredibly kind. They checked in to make sure everything was going smoothly and were quick to answer any questions we had, which made us feel totally at ease throughout our stay.We can’t recommend this place enough. It’s the kind of vacation home you dream about and can’t wait to return to!

Our stay at 139 Mooring Buoy was nothing short of exceptional. This home is stunning—spacious, beautifully designed, and thoughtfully laid out. Every detail has been considered, from the gourmet kitchen with top-tier appliances to the multiple indoor and outdoor living spaces that made our stay effortless and comfortable.The location is ideal—close to the beach, and the house has an amazing pool leaving you with no wrong answer to the question do we have a beach day, or a pool day, or both. We loved having plenty of space to spread out without ever feeling on top of each other. The upstairs game area was a hit with our teens and the office downstairs was an added benefit when we had to do some work. The home was immaculate, beautifully decorated, and felt brand new. The owners were incredibly responsive and easy to work with—clearly experienced and committed to making sure guests have a first-class experience.If you’re looking for a high-end Hilton Head vacation rental that combines luxury, location, and livability—this is it. We’ve stayed in Palmetto Dunes many times and this is by far the best home yet. We’ll absolutely be back!— The Uhron Family

Outstanding Family Getaway

We just returned from an absolutely wonderful week in HHI with our three adult children and their guests - eight of us total. This property exceeded our expectations in every way!The House: Spacious, clean, and beautifully appointed. The open floor plan was perfect for our multi-generational group, allowing us to cook together, share meals, and spend quality time without feeling cramped. The kitchen was well-equipped with everything we needed to prepare family dinners, and the dining area comfortably seated our entire group. The bedrooms were comfortable and provided everyone with the privacy they needed.Location: The Palmetto Dunes location is simply perfect. We loved being able to walk to the beach easily. Amenities: Everything was as advertised and more. The WiFi was reliable (important when traveling with young adults!), the air conditioning kept us comfortable during the hot July days, and having a washer/dryer was a huge convenience for a week-long stay with a large group.The Experience: This trip was exactly what we hoped for - quality family time in a beautiful setting. The house provided the perfect home base for beach days, exploring Hilton Head, and just relaxing together.Host Communication: Responsive and helpful throughout the entire process. Check-in was seamless and any questions we had were answered quickly.

A wonderful experience for my whole family. So much room and wonderful activities with video games, foosball, shuffleboard and the pool was so refreshing. My adult children especially liked the ice maker for all their adult drinks. We were all able to sit around the dining room table for meals and play card games. The kitchen and bulter's pantry was enormous. Everyone enjoyed the short walk to the beach even getting up early to see the sunrise and take photos. Each of the bedrooms and bathrooms were exceptional especially the shower in the Master 1st floor bedroom/bath. We had only one day of rain and enjoyed sitting in the enclosed screened in porch which had a large screen TV. I highly recommend this house for your next family rental. We had 10 adults and no one felt that we were on top of anyone. Golf on the island and in Bluffton was great with a lot of choices. We also enjoyed the many restaurants on HIlton Head and the many choices we had in bringing food home to eat in our beautifully decorated house. This house had the most comfortable chairs and couches too. I rated 10 out of 10 and would go higher if it was available.

I am not one to write a review but Karen and her home are deserving of one. The house is remarkable; the nicest place in HH that we have stayed. Extremely clean. We even tipped the cleaning woman. It is a well thought out kitchen and house layout. Not to mention the kid friendly games, plastic plates and silverware, stocked beach toys, beach chairs and beach wagon. Karen is an attentive and responsive host, going above and beyond to accomodate us. We had the best week and will be returning to her house next year.
