Couldn’t ask for a better host! This was our second year staying at Pelican Pad and we loved it! They think of everything! One street from beach access and lots of horse sightings! Super clean house!

We had a wonderful week at the Pelican Pad! The house is in a wonderful location with easy beach access. It was so clean and nicely appointed with everything we needed for our stay like beach chairs and toys, everything we needed in the kitchen, comfortable beds, plentiful outdoor seating, great pool. Just an all around perfect find!

Beautiful inside and outside. Was very family friendly. The house was well stocked with entertainment beach equipment. We had a perfect week. The host was very helpful and was always accessible.when we needed something. I really couldn’t ask for more and we are hoping to be able to return next summer. We loved driving on the beach and there truly are wild horses in the yards and on the beach.

The house was amazing! The owners had everything ready for our group and had every detail ready and waiting. They even provided pack and plays for our younger kids to sleep on. I would recommend this house for any family looking to enjoy an amazing beach with a beautiful house!

Couldn’t help but stay a second time.

The house has everything you need to have a relaxing vacation at the beach. Plenty of room for our family. We stayed here in 2022 and when we decided to return to the outer banks we didn’t even look at other properties. I have a feeling we will be back for a 3rd stay at some point!

Great 4x4 Beach House

We had an excellent time in this recently renovated home on 4x4 Beach. Saw countless wild horses and thoroughly enjoyed being off the beaten path nesseled in the dunes enjoying some R&R with the family. Great location to disconnect!! Highly recommend!!

Great communication from owner, let us check in an hour early, quick responses all week. They have thought of everything to make sure you have a great week! Outdoor shower and bathroom near the pool were a great amenity! The kids loved the boogie boards provided by the house! Super clean house can’t wait to come back next year!

We had a wonderful stay! The house was perfect for our two families, with plenty of space and things to do for the teens to hang out. It was clean, well-stocked, and in great shape—you can tell the owner really cares. The location is fantastic, super close to the beach, and we saw wild horses nearby. We loved the pool, hot tub, and pool table, plus there was lots of beach gear to use. The host was great at communicating, and there was lots of helpful info in the house. Evenings on the deck were a highlight. Highly recommend—would love to come back!

The best part of our trip- Pelican Pad!

Our crew of 15 just finished up our stay at Pelican Pad- not only was there PLENTY of room for each of us, each room was completely renovated and extremely clean, comfortable and home like! The house itself makes the trip 10X better! Sarah was very easy to contact and work with, she is helpful with any questions and overall an amazing host! This is the place you want to be!

Pelican Pad - 4x4 beach

We had a great week at the recently renovated Pelican Pad. The house is beautiful and there was plenty of room for our family. Unforgetable memories

The house was perfect in so many ways...location was everything we were looking for. The house had everything we needed and was very clean. The easy access to the 4x4 beach was great.Best part about this property are the owners, they go above and beyond to ensure their guests have a truly relaxing and enjoyable time.Honestly can't thank them enough for providing this beautiful property and taking care of all our needs while we were there. It made out Fourth of July holiday week one that will provide us with great memories!I know for sure when we come back to the 4x4 beach this will be our destination!

BEST VACA EVER!

The location was beautiful, accommodating and peaceful! Our family enjoyed watching the sun rise in the morning and set in the evening! The beach was a quick walk (or even quicker drive) away! We felt like we were on our own private island! We can’t wait to return again! The property itself is perfectly located right next to the beach. The pool was another great way to relax. The inside of the house was beautiful and perfect for a big family to enjoy meals together or escape to your own room for downtime.

Loved the Pelican Pad!

We had an excellent week at the Pelican Pad! What a beautiful beach house and plenty of space for our large extended family to enjoy! The kitchen was stocked with plenty of pots/pans for cooking dinner as well as plates/cups/silverware for serving dinner to a large group. We loved the short walk/ride to the beach and the private pool was an excellent addition! Loved the house and the owner, Sarah was great and very helpful with all of my pre-trip questions! Thank you for a wonderful vacation!

House was great!

The house was well-appointed and had all the kitchen items we needed for daily home-cooked meals. The decor was beautiful and the house was clean. The pool and hot tub were perfect for our group of 7. The drive across the beach takes about 30 minutes so it makes traveling out for dinners and shopping a bit more of a “planned event”. We drove our car onto the beach daily rather than lug our stuff to the beach. We loved the hammock seats outside! The owner was extremely responsive and helpful.

Beautiful house!!

Our stay was amazing! The house is beautiful and had plenty of space for all of our guests. The sunset views were gorgeous and we had horses in our front yard almost everyday. The pool is nicely shaded in the afternoon which was perfect after a hot day on the beach. Having 2 refrigerators helped us cut down on the need for ice and coolers. 2 dishwashers really came in clutch for those of us that don’t like a messy kitchen. Sarah, is literally the sweetest and makes sure you’re taken care of every step of the way. Would highly recommend!

Pelican Pad - The Perfect Vacation!

We could say enough about our stay at Pelican Pad! To start Sarah was so wonderful! She was a wonderful communicator and so great at getting back to us with any questions we had before and during trip! She had a welcome bag waiting for us at the house with something for the adults and the kiddos! The house was beautiful! So clean and well-organized! Everything was labeled right down to the light switches and remotes, making the house so easy to navigate and find things. Upon arrival to Pelican Pad we were greeted by 5 of the wild horses who were having their dinner in the yard. We saw horses throughout the week in our yard and the yards next to us as well! No need to go on a wild horse tour! They gave us front-row seats right from our decks! The house was an easy walk to the beach as well! We enjoyed sunrises and sunsets every day! Some days from the house and others from the beach! There were 9 of us from 3 generations staying at the house and it was accommodating to all! We hope to someday go back and stay here again! Thank you Sarah for your hospitality and providing us a home where we made memories to last a life time!

House is absolutely beautiful and very well equipped. You can tell the owners put a lot of thought in the design and setup. Beds and furniture were very comfortable. The pool table, air hockey and of course the pool was a big hit to my teen grandkids. I would highly recommend this house. Horses were common in and around the house and beach area. Just a PSA, you would do best driving a true 4x4 with high clearance. An AWD SUV may not have appropriate clearance.

Perfect Family Destination

First, Sarah is amazing. She was friendly, quick to respond, informative, and incredibly helpful! Working with a home owner like Sarah is what any renter could wish for then you add in the beautiful newly renovated home that was perfectly stocked and equipped for our family party of 14! From kitchen supplies to cooking supplies, bath towels to pool and beach supplies and toys!! The house is just a short walk to the beach and has the most beautiful views of the sunrise and sunset! We all truly enjoyed our stay at the Pelican Pad and look forward to rebooking again!!
