Relax with the whole family on this working Whitetail Deer Farm. This spacious, newly remodeled 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom house is a perfect place to sit back, relax and enjoy the wildlife in peace. 3 bedrooms include 1 king, 1 queen and a full size bed. Kid friendly with a highchair and travel crib. There are plenty of board games, cards, dice, coloring books, crayons and a puzzle so you can spend much needed family time together! Country setting. Only @20 minutes from Buckhannon, Philippi, Clarksburg & Audra State Park.

Kara’s Deer Retreat is a wonderful, relaxing place to stay. She creates a very warm, comfy atmosphere and our teen twin granddaughters enjoyed a competitive game of cornhole w/us grands and then we played uno. So much fun!!! The deer are so close and beautiful.

This was an amazing place. Seeing the deer daily, being able to let me kids feed them was so neat. The house was clean and had everything we needed. Luna was an added bonus and such a friendly dog, even if she did take the football from my son and run away with it. But Kara was so nice and easy to communicate with, we did get the ball back. We will definitely be back to stay.

House is so cute. Plenty of room for our family. Quiet area. Thankful for the host having everything we needed. My boys loved all the toys.

We loved our stay. It was relaxing and enjoyable. Our kids loved the weekend and of course the deer and Luna! The host are awesome to deal with and we hope to come back!!

Kara was amazing, there when we needed anything! the house was great, loved the touches like the coffee bar, smores kit, little snacks and farm fresh eggs when we got there. Very clean house and comfy. My dream came true getting to visit and pet the deer!!! We will definitely be back, would love to use the fire pit. Beautiful area and quiet.

We had a lovely stay at the Whitetail Retreat. This was our second visit. It will not be the last.Our host was exceptionally hospitable. The place was comfortable, clean, and cozy. Everything was easy- from check in to check out. We highly recommend it for anyone who wants to visit West Virginia.

Wonderful property

Came here for a family “brothers” weekend- host is great about communicating and the house has all the amenities you need. Would definitely stay again!

Quiet getaway great for families

Nice place with plenty of room. Outdoor porches, a fire pit and room for family and friends to gather. Nice setting out and away from town.

Great Place to stay

This home was extremely clean and very homey! The host went way above any expectations we were hoping for. I wish we would’ve been able to stay longer but we will be back. We would recommend this place everyone!

Excellent home

This home had everything you needed. The hosts were very friendly and took a lot of time with my granddaughter with their deer retreat. Place was very homey and private.

Whitetail getaway

Peaceful, relaxing stay in the wonderful mountains of West Virginia. An abundance of wildlife is o enjoy watching! Home with a real farmhouse feel. Very neat, clean and all the accommodations needed. Even fresh eggs and an amazing coffee bar.

My husband and I have been married for 10 years and have 4 children. In 2017 we jumped headfirst into Whitetail Deer Farming. We enjoy being outside and all types of livestock. Our kids are involved in 4-H and FFA and show their projects all summer long. In the fall of 2020 we were given the opportunity to purchase my brother in laws portion of the farm and now here we are..... :)
