Indoors, you have lake views from the MBR, the downstairs Family Room, the large screened-in Lanai, the expansive upstairs Great Room, and the guest room. You are also direct lakefront outside on the deck & backyard.
Your private shoreline includes a large 2-story dock. Use the 3 provided kayaks to explore Lake Beresford or visit Hontoon State Park trails, or bring your own. Local fishing guides can also pick you up from your dock. 3 bikes are also included. Boat, kayak & SUP rentals nearby. Minutes from Blue Springs & the Florida Manatees!
This home is in a peaceful, rural area with a variety of wildlife. In walking distance you have hiking, fishing, kayaking, birding - and just relaxing, surrounded by natural beauty. Daily visits from large birds such as cranes, egrets, herons, hawks, anhingas, storks, limpkins, cormorants, more! A bald eagle nests nextdoor & is often seen and heard.
The the award-winning DeLand downtown offers variety of restaurants, pubs, & wine bars, plus unique shops, weekly Farmers' market, theatre, museums, & antiquing. (Nearby Mt Dora is also famous for antiques.) World-famous Orlando theme parks are an hour away.

David was born & raised in Central Florida and always hoped to own property here. Now, we have turtles swimming up to bask on our shoreline and stunning birds landing to hunt or rest right on our dock!
The www.floridasuntrail.com biking/walking trail is right next door.
We love the vibrant downtown filled with exciting restaurants, street festivals & parades, the 4th of July fireworks (you can watch from the house & dock!), but still has a small-town feel.

We love that we have so many outdoor activities available to us right here, but also that we don't even have to go outside to feel part of the outdoors. So many huge lake-view windows give us relaxing water views from nearly every room, and we feel a constant connection to nature.
