Our modern and spacious holiday home, awarded with 5 stars by the tourism association and 5 keys from the Clesvacances portal, has a total area of approx. 280m², on one level without steps or stairs. The living area for four to six people offers 85m ² every imaginable comfort for a relaxing and pleasant stay.
Free WiFi is available in the entire holiday home.
The swimming pool with 90m² consists of a 10 x 4m swimming pool framed by a lying area with underfloor heating.
A patio and a south-facing terrace are available for nice days, together approx. 46m².
There is also a 600m² garden with a private parking space.

The vacation home

The L-shaped living area consists of two parts:

A salon equipped with:

A comfortable corner sofa with a coffee table.
A flat screen TV, international satellite TV, a sound bar for home cinema and music via radio, CD or bluetooth,
a Yamaha piano for the musicians among our guests.
A small collection of board games, DVDs and CDs with modern and classical music as well as audio books, mostly in German.

A dining area equipped with:

A modern fitted kitchen: fridge 140 l, freezer 60 l, induction cooker with 4 cooking zones, oven 40 l, microwave, dishwasher, stainless steel sink, washing machine with integrated dryer, dishes, glasses and cutlery for 8 people, toaster, blender, salad spinner, high-quality pots, Pans, pressure cooker, lots of useful kitchen utensils.

The living area has direct access to the patio - a nice place for a leisurely breakfast, a quiet reading hour or a glass of champagne in the evening.

With 16m2, the bathroom offers enough space for:

A large Italian shower,
a bathtub with massage functions,
two sinks with illuminated mirrors and cosmetic mirrors,
Hair dryer, bathroom scales, toiletries, a nice wicker chair.
Underfloor heating and an original towel radiator ensure pleasant warmth.
Towels, bathrobes and slippers as well as a little attention are included.

The toilet:

The funny wall tiles have directed the decoration in a very specific direction.

Use of the tennis facility in the neighboring village is included in the price: reservation required, outdoor and indoor court.
Since this summer it has been possible to rent bicycles, including e-bikes, delivery and collection conveniently from the holiday home.

The region

Your holiday resort Ménil Lépinois is a small village with about 120 inhabitants in the south of the Ardennes.
Absolute rest and relaxation in a hilly, extensive field landscape are guaranteed. The center of the village is the old church with the Gottesacker. There is a Booleplatz, the bakery brings croissants, pain au chocolat and delicious baguette to the door in the morning, a mobile mom and pop shop comes on Tuesdays.
Many lonely dirt roads invite you to go for a walk, hike, jog or ride a bike.
After about 20 minutes by car you are at the foot of the first vineyards. A tour of the large and small wine villages of Champagne with occasional breaks for tasting should be at the top of the list of tourist activities.

There are also numerous options, some of which we would like to present below.

Reims - also called the capital of Champagne - is only a 20-minute drive away. The landmark of the city is the Gothic cathedral Notre Dame from the 12th Century. Here until the 19th Century the French kings crowned u. a. 1429 Charles VII in the presence of Joan of Arc.
From more recent days, the cathedral is known for its three beautiful Chagall windows.
Right next to it is the Palais du Tau - the Archbishop's Palace from the 16th Century.
The cathedral, the Palais du Tau and the basilica St Rémi from the 11th Century have been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1991.
The small town of Epernay is one of the focal points of champagne production. One of the most beautiful buildings is the Moët & Chandon champagne house from 1743, which we can only recommend to visit.

The city center of Chalons-en-Champage is characterized by its many half-timbered houses and the collegiate church Notre-Dame-en-Vaux from the 12th Century - UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The Goethe and Schiller Museum on Rue Péon Bourgois is worth a visit.
Chalons-en-Champagne is crossed by the rivers Mau and Nau. On a city tour in a boat you understand where the nickname "Venice of Champagne" comes from.

The historic center of the city of Troyes is shaped like a champagne cork. It is dominated by the Saint Pierre et Saint Paul cathedral, which houses a large number of shrines, and the Basilique St Urbain with its famous windows. In addition, it is worth visiting the patrician house Hôtel du Petit Louvre from the 13th Century. Troyes houses an ensemble of well-preserved half-timbered houses from the 16th Century, particularly beautiful in the Ruelle des Chats and the Cour du Mortier d'or.
Those who prefer shopping ... in the outlet center "Marques Avenu" with almost 300 brands for fashion and more should have something for everyone.

The cities of Charleville-Mézières and Sedan can be found in the Ardennes in the north, near the Belgian border.
The heart of the city of Charleville is the Place Ducale, an almost identical replica of the Place des Voges à Paris. Tsar Peter the Great is said to have taken inspiration for the construction of St Petersburg during a visit in 1717. Furthermore, a visit to the Basilique Notre-Dame d. Espérance with its 1000m2 of contemporary colored stone glazing, the Avenue d'Arches with its Art Deco houses, the big clock "Le Grand Marionnettiste" and the numerous places in honor of the poet Rimbaud, the city's most famous son.
Charleville-Mézières is also known as the capital of puppets. The international “Festival des Marionnettes” takes place every two years, the next in 2019. From April to December there are regular "Sessions marionnettes".
Sedan houses the largest castle complex in Europe, the Châteaux de Sedan from the 15th Century: surface area 35000 m2, estimated construction time one and a half centuries, main tower seven floors. Wall thicknesses between 7 and 27 m. The fortress is the venue for the traditional castle festival every year.

In addition to the historical sights, there are more than 5000 km of tourist routes in the Champagne-Ardenne region ... on foot, by bike, on horseback or by motorcycle.
In recent years, the green network - "La voie verte" - has been significantly expanded. These paths are reserved for pedestrians, cyclists or roller skaters.
Several long-distance hiking trails cross the region such as the GR 654 - Saint Jacques de Compostelle path and the GR 145 - la Via Francigena to Rome.

And for those who have never been to Paris ... the TGV takes you from Reims to the Gare de l'Est in Paris in 40 minutes !!
