10/10- Highly recommend; Photos accurately convey this lovely home & pool area. We really enjoyed our stay! The home is beautifully furnished/decorated, comfortable & very clean. The resort style pool is so perfect, peaceful & relaxing, w/great landscaping. Our grandgirls had a blast swimming & jumping off the diving board…floats & goggles were also available to use. The hosts were very nice & responsive.

We do want to note that during your visit we were finishing a painting project in the upstairs portion of the home, which likely created more noise than guests would normally experience. The guest suite is a private lower-level space with its own entrance, but we understand that occasional sounds from upstairs can be noticeable. We appreciate your understanding and hope to welcome you back for an even more peaceful stay in the future!

Absolutely the BEST VRBO we have stayed at. Beautifully decorated inside very comfortable everything you need plus. I love the pool area so tropical the plants transport you to some tropical vacation and i just love that you load the bird feeders every day we thoroughly enjoyed watching the entire family of cardinals. We were able to have our loval friends come over and enjoy the pool and grill for one of the evenings. Of course seeing the Alpacas was another added surprise. Great job and thank you Linda and Greg

We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend at this beautiful and relaxing place so close to Lake Hickory NC. With a quiet and wonderful outdoor environment and pool, it was a great place for us to visit and only 10 minutes from downtown Hickory but it was a wonderful escape and the amenities were top notch. I’d highly recommend this place for a family getaway in a delightful area outside of the town. Loved our vacation there and our hosts have highest ratings for good reason.

What a beautiful spacious rental! The Soave was easy to navigate, spacious, well appointed, and beautiful! Would absolutely stay here again when we can enjoy the pool. The hosts were very responsive!

The pool and the property were beautiful. I was there visiting my mom and dad so didn’t really get to use like I would have liked. The property was clean and maintained and it was very well stocked with what you may need. Enjoyed it!

Linda anf Greg were great hosts! Our family experience was inviting and we were very close to downtown, restaurants, shopping, hiking, ski resorts. We had everything that we needed and more. We cant our hosts enough for an amazing stay.

We loved staying at the Blue Door Guesthouse! Greg and Linda were wonderful hosts! Our daughter had the best time playing with their sweet Alpacas ( the girls) The location is excellent, only 10 minutes from restaurants and shopping but is in peaceful, beautiful setting. We had a great stay and will definitely be back again!

The Blue Door Cottage is a wonderful get-a-way. The guesthouse is warm and inviting. The grounds are beautiful. The pictures on the site are on point. Our family enjoyed walking to see the neighbors' alpaca and horses. Would definitely recommend.

Perfect place

We were very impressed that everything we needed was there. The kitchen was stocked above and beyond what you would ever need. The beds were perfect and the home was relaxing. Thanks for letting us stay we will be back again
