House is ok but the neighborhood is not very beautiful

We stayed for two nights at the the house. Let‘s start with the positive things:- fenced yard for dogs- beds comfortable- house was spacious enough for 8 peopleOn the opposite:- it is not in a nice neighborhood- kitchen equipment can be improved

St Mary, GA

The residence was a modular home which made the layout a bit awkward but adequate for us. The neighbor was old and somewhat rundown however we, being three females, did not feel unsafe. I would recommend staying there if you are looking for a budget wise location.

Didn’t get door codes despite attempting for several days. Requests to owners were replied with formatted messages. Front door keypad was unreliable. No written instructions on location of amenities, checkout procedures. Sandy yard meant floors were dirty and and bottoms of feet became black

Place was clean and comfortable.

We came there to get away for the 4th of July when our neighbor was having a wedding and party. I was more quiet there for our dogs.

Great Stay

We booked this property to visit my son who is stationed at Kings Bay. It was my husband and I along with 5 young adults ages 19-21. There was plenty of room. I loved that there were 2 living areas with my husband and I using the bedroom and bathroom on the opposite side of the house as the other 3 bedrooms. We were able to give the kids space and hubby and I were able to have a quiet area to ourselves. The neighborhood is older, but convenient to town. I only wish there were TVs in the bedrooms. The home is older, but clean and roomy.

Very Nice

We booked this house for a group of us of 3 adult couples for a visit to St Marys. The house was a 10 minute drive from main town. The house outside looks a little rundown, appears to be a double wide and the bathrooms a little old. However it had everything we needed and were very comfortable staying there. Plenty of room and everything was funtionable.

The home

I love the home… it was very clean the only down side is that the house ONLY have one TV in the living room!!!! NEEDS MORE TV’S!!!! We left Saturday and when we came back some guy was there cutting the glass I feel like that should have been done before we got there cause when got out our truck bugs was ALL OVER US !!! But as for the house itself I have no complaints but NEEDS MORE TV

We really enjoyed the spaciousness of the home and the split floor plan allowing our family of five to spread out. We were also very grateful for the fully fenced yard and the ability to bring our dog.

Granddaughters wedding

We enjoyed the stay and enjoyed our granddaughter's wedding. The house was big. We didnt use all of the bedrooms. There were 4 and one of the rooms had 2 single beds in it. Way more space than we needed but we did relax and enjoy it.

Great Location

We enjoyed our stay at this house in Saint Mary’s. The house is functional and especially spacious. You can’t find a better location. The immediate neighborhood is average but as we said, the location is great; equidistance between the downtown river view tourist area and the Mercantile areas where there’s Publix, Winn-Dixie, etc. There was an issue with the linen in the master bedroom but I’m sure this is a one off and they’ll pay more attention to it in the future. All in all it was a very pleasant stay.

Stay for the Alatorre family

We loved our stay at your home. The location was great and everywhere we went the people were friendly. I hope we left everything good. We swept, laundered majority of the sheets and started the dishwasher as well as wiped the kitchen down. I would absolutely stay at your place again. Thank you.

Convenient and comfortable

We chose this place as it was close to the Cumberland Island ferry and beautifully renovated. We were not disappointed. A great weekend.

Sudden Trip

My wife got a couple of extra days off. They told us the AC was not working. Given the time of year we decided to go anyway. We were comfortable.

Good place for a large group

The house itself is clean and great for a large group. Proximity to downtown St Mary's is nice. The immediate neighborhood around the house isn't the best, but we never felt unsafe. The best part of this particular Vrbo was the responsiveness of the host. They were always very fast to reply, even over the New Year's weekend. If you're looking for somewhere to stay, especially with a large group, I'd definitely recommend this place if you're looking for a good value.

A bed room for everybody

We come to St. Mary's twice a year, great place to relax. We brought our family this time and chose this VRBO because of its size. Fenced in yard for our dog. Definitely would stay here again!

Loved our stay at this wonderful home!

My family had a wonderful time during our stay and really loved the house. It was just as the pictures described and was very clean and had alot of room for all of us. The owners were very friendly and were quick to respond any time a question was asked. I recommend this wonderful home to everyone.

Perfect for our trip!

The house was great! Plenty of room for our whole family and a good fenced in yard for the dog. The house was in a perfect location to do and see everything we wanted; we truly were just a few minutes from downtown or the navy base or getting onto the interest. I would highly recommend this location to anyone, and it was the best deal in town!

Every renter's worst nightmare: Hair in the sheets

9:30pm, I pull down the sheets in the beds to find.......HAIR.....lots of it. It was disgusting. I suppose the owners did not clean the linens or sheets between guests. The owners provided the security code one hour before we arrived. One would think the home was being prepared and cleaned for our stay. It was clearly not. The refrigerator had dirt in it. The black shower curtain in the master bedroom had hair, splothes and stains on it. While the pictures are accurate and the house was basic, I thought the 5 star exceptional rating meant the home inside was comfy and clean. The house was neither. This home is across the street from an overfilled junky house. I understand that the maintenance of the other home is outside of their control; however, the listing highlights a deck. Who wants to sip their morning coffee across from hoarders? The lawn was unmowed, the chainlink metal fence was hard to use, the kitchen drawers were difficult to open and one of the vents in the floor was uneven and a potential safety hazard. But all of that could be construed as subjective. The one thing that led me to even writing this review was the gobs of hair in the bed. Just gross.

LOTS of space. Dogs welcome :-)

Space was GREAT - 4 beds, 2.5 baths, kitchen, dining room, TWO living areas and a fenced yard! Very thankful that our dogs were allowed. I can't think of anything we needed that wasn't there. THE only negative for us is that we thought it was closer to Amelia Island. I guess it's only 8 miles away, but that's as the crow flies. It takes about 40-45 minutes of driving time. NO complaints about the actual house and the owners were VERY speedy in regard to their responses :-)

Great stay!

We had a great stay. The house was the perfect size for our party. Plenty of room. Everything was as described. The house is conveniently located to many attractions. Ellianos Coffee is within walking distance and it is amazing. Cumberland Island was the highlight of the trip. I can not recommend the tour enough. Pay the extra money and do the Lands and Legacies tour. As far as restaurants, the locals recommended St. Marys Seafood but we thought it was mediocre and pricey. We found a place in downtown St. Marys called Southern Riverwalk Bar & Grill. Not the fanciest but 10x better food.

Comfortable and clean

We arrived to a clean roomy house. Four adults and 3 under 15 had plenty of room. Comfortable beds. Washer and dryer were helpful.
